I needed to return a car at the end of lease. Call the dealer for an appointment. After few questions Brad decided that they can't help me. I insisted, arguing that the dealer that sold me the car was put dealer for an appointment. After few questions Brad decided that they can't help me. I insisted, arguing that the dealer that sold me the car was put out of business by GM, and from day 1 I had all the services and recalls taken care by Koons. Finally he asked me: "are you going to buy another car?". I answered :NO. Than he informed me that is no room on their parking lot. Before this answer I didn't know what replacement car I should get, right after I knew that won't be a Buick. I bought a Grand Cherokee and just to make a point a avoided their Chrysler dealer despite the fact that they made me a good offer. For 4 years I used their service department and they were grate! This was my first car buying experiencing. I went in knowing what I wanted, and I received nothing but the best customer service. No gimmicks, no trickery, just straight up honest and pleasant salesman knowing what I wanted, and I received nothing but the best customer service. No gimmicks, no trickery, just straight up honest and pleasant salesmanship. They treated me like a VIP from start to finish, and I would recommend the Koons experience to everyone looking for a new car. My pleasant car buying experience was the perfect segue to the pleasure I get out of driving my new car. More
We negotiated on the purchase of a used car for about 24 hours. At 12:45 my salesman, Earl T. Jones Jr and I made a deal that I would meet him and I would sign papers to buy a used car. I had offered a cr hours. At 12:45 my salesman, Earl T. Jones Jr and I made a deal that I would meet him and I would sign papers to buy a used car. I had offered a credit card downpayment as a good faith gesture, which was declined. So ON MY WAY to sign the papers, I retrieved a voice mail from Earl, saying "they sold the car." and then CLICK, hang up. DO NOT BELIEVE KOONS- Verbal agreements, or my impending purchase scenario above, MEAN NOTHING to Koons. They sure WOWED me! THEY SOLD THE CAR THEY SAID THEY WOULD SELL TO ME. Oh, and after we showed interest in the car, the online price of the vehicle INCREASED by $2K overnight. I'm thinking their buyer was willing to pay the inflated price, so they SHAFTED me. This dealership is run by CROOKS. The Gen Mgr, whose name I don't know, is a SNAKE. Mandu, the manager of Sales, lowballed my cream puff trade-in by $5,000, and basically INSULTED me. DEAR CRYSTAL KOONS, your "family" really WOWed me!! More
The staff at Koons has been very nice, answering all of The staff at Koons has been very nice, answering all of my questions, and providing me with reassurrance in regards to my vehicle. I traded in my The staff at Koons has been very nice, answering all of my questions, and providing me with reassurrance in regards to my vehicle. I traded in my 10 year old Jaguar for a "certified" Buick Enclave about 6 months ago in hopes of getting a family car that would accomodate a new mother to be (me) and to help the American Economy by investing in an American vehicle. I have had nothing but malfunctions, replacements of major operating units-(water pumps, window harnesses, you name it), and breakdowns leaving a pregnant woman on the side of the road in the cold. Two days after we purchsed the vehicle, I noticed that the roters would need replacing. My husband took the vehicle back to Koons and was told that they were fine. I then had to take the vehicle back a couple of days later where they then agreed that they were in need of being replaced. This was the beginning of continual trips to the service department just about 3-4 weeks since 6 months ago. The only positive news at this point is that I have gotten to know the nice Koons service staff & enterprise rental agents & that my vehicle is still under warranty. The whole experience with the Koons sales department was great, however, the quality of the certified vehicle that I have purchased from Koons should not be a reflection of the GMC/Buick line nor Koons that I have invested in. In actuality, I would still like to speak with someone about how possibly GMC/Buick could help me with my vehicle at this time. More
The service department manager Justin, makes you wish you never walked in the door. I wouldn't have come back after a routine oil change for service on a warranty item except that I had already gone through never walked in the door. I wouldn't have come back after a routine oil change for service on a warranty item except that I had already gone through the pain of having the information faxed from another location to his :( It's a great location and nice facility. The front office staff (mrs jones is one) were very nice and very friendly. Justin has a condescending attitude or very poor sense of humor. Either way, as long as he is there. I will search out a different location to get my Yukon serviced. More
I purchased a 2011 GMC Acadia from these folks. I ordered it directly from the factory and we had an agreed price. Then the car shows up and Tommy Omar decides to change the price. He says well the factory i it directly from the factory and we had an agreed price. Then the car shows up and Tommy Omar decides to change the price. He says well the factory is charging me more money and I need to pass that along to you but the number was like $2,000 more. I hit GMCs website and the difference between the two model years is like $100. And the BS starts! Finally I got the deal done because honestly I had already sold my other car and well they had me by the... So they agreed to a lower price after 3 phone calls and an in person visit. The funny thing was Tommy Omar is such an ... I was standing right next to him talking to the other sales manager who finally got the deal done. Tommy did not even introduce himself - wow - really. Not even a shake of the hand. Wow! I mean really! Just straigh up poor! Honestly this is the WORST dealership EVER. I cannot believe Tommy Omar has a job. More importantly I have lost all respect for Koons as a company (will never purchase a car from a Koons dealership). I mean spend some time looking at this dealership on-line. I think in the end this dealership would actually be an excellent dealership because their other sales folks are great. But once Tommy Omar gets involved just leave! I wish I could share some of the emails with you all just how bad it got. Someone recently posted that he is very childish and slimmy - agreed! My wife will not even take the car back to the dealership because she is afraid they will do something bad to our car. My advice go someplace else! More
This dealership is either incompetent or dishonest, probably both. They try to hide extra charges and lie about the quotes that they give you. Earl Jones is a phony who appears to care but in the end i probably both. They try to hide extra charges and lie about the quotes that they give you. These cretins exhibit every stereotype known about slimy used car salesman. Even after coming in with several quotes, through several different buying services, these jokers tried to justify an attempt to used car salesman. Even after coming in with several quotes, through several different buying services, these jokers tried to justify an attempt to sell me a 2011 Acadia SLT-2 for the price of a NEW 2012 Acadia SLT-2, and then had the nerve to challenge me to find a better price elsewhere. I showed them my online price quotes from three other dealers, for the exact model I wanted, and they tried to tell me the other dealers were using bait-and-switch tactics. Funny, for a bait and switch, one dealer had exactly what I wanted and I even got a price LOWER than the original online quote from that dealer, AND lower than the truecar.com Dealer Price (I bought from that other dealer by the way). Worse, if you don't agree with Tommy Omar right away, he resorts to childish yelling and screaming - yeah, very professional. And General Manager Pat Fogarty doesn't even have the fortitude to stand up to his own rude and pushy Sales Manager Tommy Omar. If you're looking for customer service, shop elsewhere; if you want to be treated like an intelligent consumer, keep on driving when you see the sign for Koons Tysons - you'll thank yourself and still respect yourself in the morning. First off I went to a dealer before this one, and told one of salesmen that I wanted to drive away in a vehicle the next day. They promised they would deliver, and didn't even come close. I left that deal one of salesmen that I wanted to drive away in a vehicle the next day. They promised they would deliver, and didn't even come close. I left that dealership and went straight to Koons. During the first conversation I was told that the vehicle had to be transported and would be available the next day. I received a call back about 6 hours later, and was told it had already made it from an entirely different state. The fact that they were informative, and not putting pressure on me to accelerate the process was a giant plus for me. ALL the staff knew the inside and outside of EVERY vehicle there, answering my questions with ease, and leaving plently of space in order for me to remain in my comfort level. I knew what I wanted obviously before I even came to the dealership, and was even offered different price ranges without revealing how much money I planned on spending. I was able to get my vehicle quickly, provided with all the information and even convinced to stay a while and meet some of the staff who help make this dealership as good as it is. Price was a bit much, but well expected. Even recommended to a couple friends already.(I was so impressed, I asked if one of these sites exsisted and a place to mail a thank you letter to in lieu of my salesman. Thanks for EVERYTHING KOONS!!!!! More
I had a great experience at Koons Tyson GM. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. I was there a bit longer than I needed to be as the exact car I wanted wasn't available. If I was asked are p encountered was friendly and helpful. I was there a bit longer than I needed to be as the exact car I wanted wasn't available. If I was asked are price or options more important to you, my time spent at dealer may have been less. Overall, however, Earl Jones and his team were very good and I will recommend them and my awesome GMC Acadia to friends. More
