1st they charge a $800 "processing fee" witch is a completely made up fake fee to increase the profit they make on a vehicle. You do not have to pay this fee!!!! 2nd they advertise home delivery. completely made up fake fee to increase the profit they make on a vehicle. You do not have to pay this fee!!!! 2nd they advertise home delivery. Salesman told me yes we can do that no problem. Let me see... it will be $400. I agreed. He said the finance manager will call soon the wrap it all up. Instead he calls back and says the delivery is to inconvenient for them because it's electric and the driver will have to stop and charge once in the way here and thire not going to do it. And do they will also not take my trade in as they have no way to get it now. so if I want to keep my payment low put more down. How I get the vehicle is now my problem. And we need to renegotiate the deal. Not only does it say home delivery on the site but also directly on the pics of the car it's self. If you offer hone delivery you should be prepared to delivery anywhere in the lower 48 states unless your ads say only with in X amount of miles. More
This past week I bought a used Jeep Grand Cherokee. Overall everything seemed great and I had a preappeoval. Walked in with it and the car was awesome and the sale overall was ok. I did catch them runn Overall everything seemed great and I had a preappeoval. Walked in with it and the car was awesome and the sale overall was ok. I did catch them running my credit with banks I did not authorize them too. I told them only to run the one I was preapproved with. Their response was they were trying to get me a better deal. Got the car and everything seemed good. Even a warranty for repairs. 2 days later issues appeared. I noticed the tire pressure dropping to 19 psi. Took it in and was told there is a slow leak due to a nail and I would have to buy a new tire to replace it and the warranty doesn’t cover it. Not cool since I just had it for 2 days. They also showed me service records that I was not shown at the sale. Apparently a couple mechanical parts were replaced and this is a vehicle with 30k miles. One report said there was issues with pumping gas. They also told me a tire had been patched and the windshield replaced. I was shocked since they should have told me this with the car fax but that was clean with no repairs according to them. It also turned out that they did not have the tire in stock so I had to come back Saturday when they would. They scheduled me for a 1 pm appointment. Ok all should be good. After 1.5 hours of waiting I asked what’s the status. They said they just found the tire. I am wondering why they scheduled this time and took so long to get a tire. Another issue is they only gave us one key. So I asked for a new one. They claimed the fob is around 200 plus and the metal piece is 70 and a 70 programming fee. This is insane! I have found the key at many places for 50 to 70 and most dealers charge 75 for programming so I expected maybe 150 tops, not 400. I highly advise to think twice about this place. This experience has been really bad and I am never getting my Jeep serviced with them again after this experience. Nor will I be buying another car from them. Other things that I noticed were the following: the lack of masks and social distancing during Covid-19. Many employees were not respecting the rules set in place by wearing a mask or maintaining 6 feet distance. The only one who did that well was the main manager I worked with for sales. More
awful just awful salesman I've brought numerous cars from Koons in the past few years. However, this is was the worse experience I had with a car salesman. Barkary Darbo is the I've brought numerous cars from Koons in the past few years. However, this is was the worse experience I had with a car salesman. Barkary Darbo is the worst salesman I've dealt with. my wife and I decided to go to the dealership appx January 2020 to see if we like the new 2020 chevy traverse. upon arriving my wife and I walked across the dealer as we parked on the road with our car. As we were walking, Barkary jumped out of a car and approached us about what we were there for. It was getting dark and it was quite alarming considering this man was parking a car and didn't shut off the engine and ran towards us like a pit bull. we explained what we were looking for in a car and what we wanted. We also explained we had a trade and had negative equity in the car and what our goals were for that car. we told him that we weren't gonna put any negative equity into the new car. Before I could tell this man that I had a substantial down payment to put towards whatever the trade was gonna give me. Barary decided to tell me that my car wasn't worth much and im gonna have negative equity in my new car. I felt that this man was putting me and my wife down and thought we weren't serious buyers and basically going through the motions of getting me out the door from that point on. Barkary fuss and argue with me the whole time we were at the dealership ultimately we left that day. and through emails to the internet manager, we stated we loved the dealership however we didn't want barkary as our salesman. we came back another day and finished the process with barkary ( i assume that someone talked to him) we didn't trade our car into KOONS we ended up selling our car to carmax a week or so later which was another process I didn't wanna go through but I'm glad that I did. CarMax gave me more for my trade I love Koons as a car dealership. I purchased my 2019 dodge charger there and my wife will purchase her 2020 chevy traverse here as well. we plan on buying in the future from KOONS however if that's gonna be the treatment next time. KOONS will loose good loyal customers More
Overdue Bad Review! I am writing this review because I do not like audacious behavior. Koons Tysons Corner GMC are just that; audacious. They are also dishonest, lack i I am writing this review because I do not like audacious behavior. Koons Tysons Corner GMC are just that; audacious. They are also dishonest, lack integrity, and only want your money. In 2018 I purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra pick up truck from them. It came with the Denali trim which included 22” wheels and tires. It is a very good truck. It was at least until I took it over the road on long trips. It was after the first trip I noticed a distinct vibration. It was not prominent, but I could feel it. I chocked it up to road imperfections as it was not consistent. After the second trip, the vibrations were very consistent and more noticeable. During this time period, my truck had been involved in two accidents which I had repaired at Koons Tysons Corner GMC. Both were damages to the exterior of the vehicle. In 2019, I had had enough of the vibrations and took it in for service and repair to get rid of the vibrations. Between February to July of 2019, I was back and forth to this dealership. They had my truck for days, even weeks at a time. On several occasions, a tire was replaced. At least two wheels were replaced that I remember (I do have all of the service records). But the one that really got me was when they said that my drive shaft had been damaged and that was the cause of all the vibrations. That was not covered under any warranty that I had, they claimed. So, I paid for that. The vibrations persisted. One of my last trips to retrieve my truck after an alleged repair proved pivotal. Upon inspecting my vehicle before leaving, I discovered new damages to the exterior. I of course pointed this out to the staff and demanded they repair it. In the meantime, I took my vehicle home for the weekend. While home, I reviewed videos from my dash cam. I discovered a series of videos that left me furious and flabbergasted. The video showed their technicians using my truck for sport. They would speed around their parking lot listening to my custom exhaust. They would joy ride around the business park that the dealership is connected to. They would sit idle with the engine running while conversing with one another. I even watched as they discovered damages that they caused and quite audible say, “I feel sorry for this guy…xxxx it!” These videos blew my mind. Having watched this horrible videos, I decided to inspect the damaged drive shaft which I retrieved upon repair. I discovered that the damage could not have been caused by me during driving. There is a perfectly straight crease/impression in the shaft. There are no abrasions. Just a straight crease. I had a friend look at it for a second opinion. He was more mechanically inclined than I having rebuilt engines and had done much more automotive work than myself. He agreed that the damage could not have been caused while driving as the dealership insisted. Instead, this damage was likely caused by their technician who either dropped it on a hard edged object, or, dropped or hit it with a hard edged object. When I took my truck back for repair of the damages they caused, I also requested a refund for the drive shaft which they damaged and charged me to repair. I also requested a refund for a repair of a stem which I paid for that was covered under my “Road Hazard” warranty. They only repaired the exterior damages that they had recently caused. They insisted that they were not the cause or liable to refund me for anything. I cut ties with Koons Tysons Corner GMC, Koons in general. I purchased after-market wheels and tires for my truck. It no longer vibrates! They knew all along that those wheels and tires causes their vehicles to vibrate. Their own technician is on dash cam saying that GMC had a bad batch of tires and still put them on their vehicles. Months later, I began receiving letters from them for service. They then became bold enough to call. They have the audacity to call me after ripping me off because they refused to take responsibility for a factory, and /or dealer flaw. They could simply have done what I eventually did, and replaced my wheels and tires with completely different ones. I would have been satisfied. They chose to revisit the same source of the problem so that they could have an endless repair to draw money from either myself or my Road Hazard warranty. I will not do business with Koons in any capacity so they can keep all of their offers. They even had the nerve to send me offers to purchase a new vehicle. They are both insane and audacious. Perhaps one condition causes the other with them. Nonetheless, I will not be visiting them again. I will not endorse their dealership to either buy or especially to repair a vehicle under any circumstances. Perhaps if they give you a vehicle and offer free repairs under any all circumstances it may be worth it. Short of that, Koons Tysons Corner is awful. I have the videos to prove it. They do a great disservice to those who “buy American”!T More
