I don't know how to convince you I'm not a bot or employee, but here I go. I worked with Samir and he comes off as kinda pushy but he delivered. This dealership really came through for me when the car I loved (a used mazda3 touring) was too low to fit up my driveway. They gave me a loaner and put new springs on my new car VERY fast. They really went above and beyond even after I wrangled the price down a little More
In my experience, this is a typical dealership. Salesman was nice and ran every decision through his supervision or appropriate POC. Once you get done with the salesman, you are moved to business and financ was nice and ran every decision through his supervision or appropriate POC. Once you get done with the salesman, you are moved to business and finance managers. They attempt to press hard on squeezing out more money (that’s their job) and when you push back, things start to change and not for your better. I am okay with folks asking and pursuing more profits. However, there is a line that when crossed, becomes disrespectful. First, don’t lie (“if you don’t finance with us, it could take a month before you get your car. (Insert your bank name) has to make sure you’re allowed to buy a car and they have to make sure we are allowed to sell a car. With COVID and all the scams, they have to make sure, according to the U.S. Patriot act you’re allowed to buy a car. If you fill out our finance application, you can have the car the same day”. Second, when I give you my reasons, listen and respect them. Don’t ask me the same question over and over. Those were the words used and I find it disrespectful that a dealer would come up with that garbage thinking I was some 18 yr old with no experience. But, like I said, typical. After I explained to them where I stand, what I will or won’t do, they decided to become cordial but very quiet. I had to pull information out of them and make multiple phone calls (all after the salesman so not his fault). In 20+ yrs of buying cars, I’ve only had 2 great experiences and if it wasn’t for moving around this world while I was in the military, I would have returned to the same 2 time and time again. So, this was not a horrible car buying experience but rather, very typical. Unfortunately, a few things would have made this a great one and because I’m now retired and not moving, they lost a future customer. More

From the first contact with Koons Ford in Sterling to driving away with my new car this was the absolute car buying experience I have ever had. Even though I was hoping to and prepared to purchase a vehicle, I nonetheless dreaded what I thought was in store for me - from unclear answers, getting the runaround, visit taking all day etc etc. However, my experience was nothing like that at all!! My entire visit took only a few minutes over 2 hours!! Samir had previously answered all my questions through text/email in a timely manner. When I arrived he was very professional, knowledgeable, personable, prompt, clear and to the point, He proceeded to show me the vehicle I was mainly interested in (a 2017 Ford Escape) , pointed out all of the features and answered all of my questions. The vehicle is/was in excellent condition, clean, sanitized, had all the features I wanted and came with a great price (it was lower than what I thought it should be). I had been searching for several weeks throughout Virginia, Maryland, and even out of the area (NJ and PA) - I came to the conclusion that for what I wanted, Koons Ford in Sterling was offering the best vehicle with the best price. While I was still talking with Samir, Adrian in Finance was already working on my financing. By the time I was finished speaking with Samir, Adrian had everything finished and ready to go regarding the financing of my vehicle. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and answered every question I had. I do NOT recommend their concierge service at all. My car was supposed to be picked up for service at 8:30am and it was not picked up until 10:00. I called at 9, asking what the status was on the pickup and was supposed to be picked up for service at 8:30am and it was not picked up until 10:00. I called at 9, asking what the status was on the pickup and they said within the hour. Then at 4:00, I received an email saying my car was done and I received the invoice link and then after that I received the text saying “Koons Sterling Ford: hey there, pay that link and i am gonna send your way.“ I paid the invoice immediately and then waited for my car. I finally called at 5:15, and once I connected to someone and asked about the status, my call was “mysteriously“ dropped. I called back and no one answered. I called a third time and finally connected with someone at 5:30 and they told me my car was still at the shop and hadn’t gone out for delivery. My car did not arrive until after 6:00 pm. And there was NO active communication at all. They tried to tell me “this is why we say there is an hour to two hour window” but of course that was never communicated to me, and worse, at 4:00, I was lead to believe my car was on the way. Absolutely terrible excuse for service. I’m blown away by the complete lack of communication regarding the extreme vehicle pickup and delivery times. More
