I have a decent experience when it comes to car buying especially that I worked in sales when I was younger. Unfortunately this experience was unique and unpleasant. I decided to purchase a used towing vehicle and it happened that they had the exact vehicle I was looking for. The sales person was ok but it was very hard to negotiate with them which I can't say it was a negative since I consider he was trained well. Besides that they sold me a vehicle with a faulty tire pressure sensor which costs $15 (not a deal breaker for me). I think the sales portion of this whole transaction was acceptable considering I purchased this vehicle at a decent price. The problems started piling up after: 1. They did not inform me that I have to do emission testing in order to obtain my permanent tags. I waited for 3 weeks then I called back because my tags were not arriving. I was told by the title and registration rep that I need emissions to obtain my tags. I was working long hours which made it slightly inconvenient to get emissions done in the last minute. 2. I financed the vehicle via my credit union who sent the check to their parent company "Koons of Woodbridge". Their finance director endorsed the check wrong then in order to fix their own mistake claimed that my credit union addressed the check to the wrong entity and that it should be "Koons Kia of Woodbridge" because they are not affiliated with "Koons of Woodbridge" even though it says "Koons of Woodbridge" on the Buyers Order . After a bunch of emails and headaches (their finance director repeatedly insulted my credit union rep) my credit union rep decided it wasn't a fight worth fighting so they put a stop on that check and issued another one. 3. My temporary tags were forged and the offender went through a couple of speed traps and video tolls. I received the tickets a couple of weeks later. I managed to resolve the speed camera ones but MTA required proof that those tags were assigned to my vehicle. Since I made a mistake and threw away the temp registration after it expired, I called and emailed the dealership asking for help. I asked them to send me proof of registration. They would not answer my call unless I would hide my caller ID and they told me they'll help me out but 2 weeks later after calling every two days and sending several emails it didn't get resolved. I had to pay the tickets because I was right at my due date. After analyzing the pictures with the forged tags I realized that there is a high chance that someone at the dealership forged my tags and used them for multiple violations. The tags looked very similar to the originals and my car was parked very far from where the violations were committed. My vehicle was also parked behind my enclosed trailer on a one way street the whole time which makes it even harder to forge since you can't see the tags at all unless you look into your rear view mirror. PLEASE stay away from this dealership and if you ever purchase a vehicle keep your temporary registration and tags at least 60 days after expiration. There are way better dealerships out there even if you are interested in a Kia vehicle. Sorry for the long text and thank you for reading! More
Games Aplenty My wife was interested in the Telluride and I was interested in the Stinger which I was considering trading or selling my Camaro. On Saturday 5/27 My wife was interested in the Telluride and I was interested in the Stinger which I was considering trading or selling my Camaro. On Saturday 5/27, we test drove the Telluride EX with a salesman I think his name was Ramon. When we asked him to do the valuation on my wife’s 2016 Tucson he said it would take 30-40 mins, this is after he had already checked the car out, which we found to be odd. During the time while we were waiting I asked to checkout the Stinger GT1 and GT2. He gets a key and we go out to a micro blue GT2. After sitting in it, I told him I wanted to test drive it. He then tells me what management doesn’t allow test drives on the Stinger without a commitment to buy, which I found to be absurd — especially from a person with a $60K Camaro. Why would I commit to buy something I had only just sat in? I could’ve lied and said sure I’d buy it just for the test drive, but why should a prospective customer have to jump through those hoops? We go back inside and he says he can do $16K on the trade, which was fine. I asked him to get me numbers so I can see the price of the Telluride, taxes, fees, etc. When he came back with the paper I’m reviewing it and the manager added an additional destination fee of nearly $2000. This is in addition to the already included destination fee on the sticker of $1045, and a $799 dealer processing fee. Also, while he told us $16K on the trade, the sheet had $15K. Add it all up and we’re $3000 over MSRP. At this point we gathered our belonging and left because we don’t have time for these games. Either you want to sell a car, or two, and get the sale in the books or you want to stonewall. I have a doctorate in math, when simple numbers look off I walk because I’m not going back and forth about what should be self-evident to a business. It’s sad because Koons Kia is 10 mins from our house and I just purchased my sister in law a new Hyundai Sonata from the Koons in Silver Springs with such a pleasant experience there. I took my business to Brown’s Kia of Manassas where I purchased the GT1 Stinger and the white Telluride EX, each vastly below MSRP and with outstanding offers on our trades — no funny business. More
Great Customer Service, Pleasant Experience I hate shopping for cars. The last experience I had at a Koons was not great and the used car we bought was a dud. This experience was far different! I hate shopping for cars. The last experience I had at a Koons was not great and the used car we bought was a dud. This experience was far different! The show room is comfortable, everyone was friendly and helpful. Anthony Coe was our salesman and he was incredibly easy and enjoyable to work with. He knew and explained all the features of the car well, didn't try to steer me outside of my price range, walked me through all the pricing details, and took care of all the little things quickly so I didn't have to wait after financing was finalized (car was washed, stickers were removed, gas tank filled, license plates switched). The whole process took much less time than it has in the past and we love our new Kia. More

Mr. Coe also followed up with us to make sure we got home safely in the new car he sold us. Great Team at this dealership in woodbrige. We drove 40miles and it was worth it. Thank you very much. More

They On 12/26/18 (sorry for the late review), Jonathan Hernandez and Donavan Backmirza both helped me get a great deal on a new 2018 Kia Stinger GT2. They both went out of their way to make the experience as painless as possible and the genuine interest they showed by getting me a deal I could not pass up speaks volumes for the dealerships attentiveness to customer satisfaction. Even after when I was about to drive off the lot, a general manager was outside and congratulated me on my new car purchase (customer satisfaction to the fullest extent in my humble opinion). Jonathan and Donovan have both been nothing short of outstanding with anything I have needed or requested in the following months since I purchased the car. Bonus, the car is SO much fun to drive and I am absolutely blessed that they were able to work a deal with me that allowed me to drive off the lot with the Stinger as a late Christmas present to myself. Thank you to everyone associated with Koons Kia of Woodbridge, you have a customer for life for sure! More
