Dealership sold me a leaky car and didn't register it. I bought a car from Koons Kia in June (2019 RAM 2500 with 15,000 miles. On the 2nd day of ownership, the drivers side was soaked with water from a large leak. I took it in, and they supposedly fixed it. I did notice it was a little weird because their service department contacted me letting me know that some completely unrelated service was completed (one I never ordered), and they had no idea when I mentioned that my car was flooding with water. I got the vehicle back, and it didn't rain for around two weeks. When it did, the car flooded just as badly. This was disappointing, because you can duplicate the issue with a garden hose in 60 seconds, so I know they didn't even check. The leak is a visible drip for god's sake 😂. So anyways, I call them, complain a little. They say to take the vehicle back and this time they will not only fix it for free, but they will test the car to make sure it doesn't leak. I made sure to dry out the carpet beforehand to make it easier for them. Being a little suspicious that no work was actually being done on the vehicle, this time I called the service department directly after a few days. They claimed that "my rotors were all done and they were unable to duplicate the vibration issue on the road that I reported." Well, at least now I knew that they weren't actually doing anything to my car. I went to pick up my truck and the floormats were completely soaked. Either they tested it and it failed, or it just rained down their way and completely flooded my truck again. When I got home, it rained and my truck reflooded yet again. I called the dealership, and they asked if I could take the vehicle into a RAM dealership to have it fixed under warranty. I just wanted to solve the issue, so I said ok. Today, I took the vehicle in to Koon's RAM Chrysler in Tyson's. They told me they can't work on the car AT ALL... because get this.... Koon's Kia never filed the paperwork to register to car to Chrysler in my name. It's still registered in Canada, and until it's in my name, no dealership can do any warranty work on the vehicle. I called back Koon's Kia to ask them to register the car, and they told me it's going to be a few weeks before the registration will go through. I'm contacting a lawyer now, so I guess I'll update the review soon. More
Seemed very shady from the get go I was looking for a used truck and found one on their lot. A rep responded quickly at first, but then the General Manager got involved. I emailed hi I was looking for a used truck and found one on their lot. A rep responded quickly at first, but then the General Manager got involved. I emailed him and got 1 email back quickly. Then he went MIA. He even said he never heard back from me. Not sure why he would even write that when I emailed him back several times. I even got an email back from him with another telephone number on there. Called up that number and there was no one with that name at that dealership. He actually took the time to write a fake number. Couldn't deal with him any longer so I called up and spoke to another sales person. That sales person said the car was still on sale, but that the lot attendant lost the keys. I wanted to see the validity of what I was being told, so I spoke to another person and was told that the car was still on sale, but that she couldn't locate. If you read some of the other reviews, they discuss a bait and switch. I feel as if this was the case because now the car is no longer on their site. Please read all the other reviews, but my gut feeling is that something is definitely not right here. More
Returned from deployment and chose to have my car serviced before relocating out of state. My car had been sitting for months, but I had no issues using it the week prior to getting serviced. Car wa serviced before relocating out of state. My car had been sitting for months, but I had no issues using it the week prior to getting serviced. Car was picked up and returned with no issues. No issues were reported to me. I drove the car out of state and after being parked for more than 24 hrs, the car wouldn't start. I had to get a jump. The following day, I had the same issue. After receiving another jump, took the car to AutoZone where the battery terminal was discovered to be loose. I bought the necessary piece and have not issues since. When I called Koons Kia to report that either they loosened the terminal and failed to tighten it or overlooked the fact it was loose in the first place, I was told there was nothing could be done. I can't get a partial refund, and since I'm no longer in the state, I can't bring my car in to have it checked again. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't given this dealership my business and will encourage my family and friends in the area to take the service elsewhere. More

ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS, PLEASE GIVE THIS REVIEW 5 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME TO READ THROUGH IT, BEFORE BUYING AT KOONS KIA, WOODBRIDGE!!! This review is also posted at Yelp, Car Dealers, Reddit, Google reviews, Cars.com and Autotrader. ABSOLUTELY the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced at a dealership, after the sale was finalized. Why can't I select 0 stars for these jerks? Sure, you are the best person ever, when you walk into this dealership....ONLY when you are a potential buyer. Afterwards, you're just a number, if that. The 8 hour day I spent there when purchasing the vehicle, everyone was cordial, wanted to help in any way possible. Now, its nothing but voicemails and "call back tomorrow, we're busy"... or "we've moved buildings" "sorry, I sold 27 cars this month I was busy"... excuse after excuse. Wow, thanks Koons Kia. I've heard that response for the 5th time when calling with dealer/car issues. I'd be fired from my job for such behavior where customer service should be a priority at a dealership. Now I have to make multiple calls over 5-10 business days just to begin to get issues resolved by sales, financial and the service departments. ALL dealership related issues. NONE of the issues I've been dealing with during the past 30 days were my fault. They were all Koons Kia employee's faults as they rushed me through the entire process. Now I am wasting hours upon hours dealing with these jerks. Including having to drive 2hrs one way, so that they have to resolve my issues when we are face-to-face, because they don't return calls. Why do you ask? Because they know I am 2 hours away... and they don't think I will drive to Koons, to confront them on their mistakes when they continually ignore me. If you need help after the sale, due to their negligence... save 4 days of your time, per issue, and plan on 10-15 phone calls, only to be put into someone's voice mail that NEVER EVER calls you back. I DID NOT spend $50,000 on a vehicle to be treated like a red-headed step child at Koons Kia, when the mistakes are YOURS. Your dealership made all the mistakes, now take a few xxxx mintues and correct them. And of course I am pissed off now. Your treatment of me and my issues are bull$hit. Utterly, complete BULL$HIT! How about the 2 weeks it took to have my bumper fixed after the Service Dept. drilled 5 holes into a brand new bumper when I told the salesman Timothy NOT too? 1 week of that time was me leaving messages... NOT one person called me back. I had to drive there and confront them. Note, after the bumper repair was done by "their body work guy" and my first car detail/wash, I noticed overspray on the bumper and botched clear coat in several locations. xxxx poor job. But I guess the 5 holes for a plate are not visible now.... all done on a brand new $50,000 car with 26 miles on it. How about the SD card for the GPS that was ripped out of the back of Owners Manual? It was missing and I had to drive back to VA to get it. Again, no return call when I asked where it was. How about the $795 I paid for the LUXCARE package that was NEVER applied, and I was lied too about it. Again, I had to take hours of my personal time to go back to get it taken care of... after multiple phone calls with no answers, just voicemails. And I never got the personal box of bottles of protectant for reapplications. Its not worth calling these jerks about it now How about me calling 4 business days before my temp tags expired, asking where my plates were? No response from Title & Tags for 9 days. I had to call a manager.... only after I was pulled over by the cops due to expired tags. Why were my Extended Warranties never funded until 2 days ago? I called Assurant to check on my warranty coverages and was told I had none! Why am I still taking credit hits/inquiries 30 days after the purchase from Kia? why did I pay sales tax in 2 states VA/PA? I was charged for tax, title, tags by KOONS, and they never even filed the paperwork. Another scam I am trying to resolve. Over $3,000. More
By far, the worst experience I’ve had as a non-buyer. Professionalism and customer service became non-existent while interfacing with the manager. Yup. Professionalism and customer service became non-existent while interfacing with the manager. Yup. More
Finalized a deal only to be told GM wont deal Had a vehicle advertised online. Called made the deal, explaining I was out of state. Filled out financing at their request, instead of paying cash. Had a vehicle advertised online. Called made the deal, explaining I was out of state. Filled out financing at their request, instead of paying cash. Confirmed with finance manager details. GM Jay Madrigal then demands via my sales person that I drop everything and drive the 6 plus hours to the dealership to sign in person and pick up the vehicle instead of mailing the paper work per my established agreement. Offered via email to fly up 3 days later, because I was working and could not drop everything to travel. No reply. So unprofessional. I will never buy a car here and you shouldn't either. Waste of time, money and points on your credit score. More
Once the check clears forget it! I will not purchase a car from this dealership again. Started off shady and its still continuing.. First, I went to the dealer with an approved bank c I will not purchase a car from this dealership again. Started off shady and its still continuing.. First, I went to the dealer with an approved bank check. The manager stated he still needed to do a credit check. I asked why and he said to make sure I was who I said I was. Long story short, my check and I started to walk out and all of a sudden he checked with his manager and suddenly agreed to accept the check without my SSN and completing a credit check. Second, I brought the car from out of state and I wanted to do my own tags and title, still had to pay the dealer 799.00 for processing which they do not have to do. Finance manager stated once my check cleared with my bank I would be reimbursed a check to take of motor vehicle to complete MD registration. 10 days later I just call to see how the process was going and suddenly, no one understands and knows what the other said and what's going on. I called and spoke to Andrea (that's what she said her name was) today and expressed my frustration. Andrea was upset saying I was being "mean" to her as if I called her personal number. I did not raise my voice, use profanity, or any of the sort. She is saying I won't let her talk yet she was not answering any of my questions. She is blaming others but not taking responsibility for the companies inconsistent information. She never even asked my name to look up my information to see what was needed and/or not needed. First, she said I had to call my bank to get authorization to cut a check which started all of the confusion yet 13 minutes later she switch up real quick and stated SHE would call and get authorization??? Oh now she could call.....Just shear confusion, unfortunately Koons has a no return policy. Now I have to wait and see if Andrea calls me tomorrow to let me know whats going on now. PEOPLE be leery of this. Buying a car from a place with a no return policy... Koons sold me a car that could not even pass inspection the next state over! MD inspector said the tire on the vehicle was a hazard! He said I will need 3 more tires in very soon and one tire could not even pass inspection. I took the car back within the 7 day mark because Koons was counting and the manager did not want to give me another tire stating it was not in their budget....What!!! They sell hundreds of cars and one tire was not in the budget????long story short...they finally gave me another tire. First they told me to come back tomorrow but one they realized I had a ride and was ready to leave the car they miraculously found one. And that was not the only reason the vehicle did not pass but that was the most dangerous reason! Just terrible. I want this over. Now you can see I have typed all of this out and I usually don't do this but people be mindful!!!!! More

Unethical Sales Practices - Terrible Customer Service Letter to Manager: Dear Ali, I have purchased some 2 dozen new vehicles in my time. On July 4th, I purchased a vehicle from your dealership. Though Letter to Manager: Dear Ali, I have purchased some 2 dozen new vehicles in my time. On July 4th, I purchased a vehicle from your dealership. Though I have no problem with the sale price, the service following my purchase agreement is nothing short of reprehensible. This was "topped-off" by your Andrea Sylvia today. On the day of my purchase I was submitted to a grueling paperwork drill by your finance department which lasted about 5 hours. I have a credit rating of 847 and I don't understand the complexity of the transaction. First, I was told that I needed to finance the purchase to qualify for $2000 in incentives. My understanding was that this was Kia financing. I participated in the charade and didn't depart the dealership until about 21:15 on July 4th. I abandoned my trade-in and scheduled the pick-up of my new vehicle for the following Wednesday. After returning home I received an email from Langley Credit Union stating that I was approved for a car loan, I reviewed the title/registration paperwork that Kirk drafted which indicated M & T bank would be the "secured party." I looked-up the bank details online and learned that Your Dealership "bumped-up" their rate by 1/2%. Since I did not know "who" the secured party was going to be I phoned the Dealership Saturday morning and spoke to Andrea. I asked her for clarification as Kirk was not in. She advised that she would pull the file and phone me back. By 16:30 I hadn't heard from her and I attempted to reach her. Unable to speak with her I was transferred to one of the managers. I shared my disdain for the communication failure after listening to the excuses of how busy it was. He reassured me she would contact me before the end of the day. That call never came. I called the dealership on Monday and reached Andrea. She was very apologetic and informed me that there was no requirement for me to finance the vehicle through Kia or a lender provided by your dealership to qualify for the incentives applied to my deal. What that meant was I was initially mislead and I wasted hours of my life to engage in your folly. She pulled the financing paperwork and drafted new sales documents after I told her I would secure my own funding. On Wednesday July 10th I came to pick-up my vehicle at the appointed time. The vehicle was NOT ready and a 5 minute affair turned into an almost 2 hour event. My vehicle was not prepped properly as I think I brought this to your attention. The prep crew did not do a proper job, leaving "foot prints" on the rocker molding and also left cellophane in one of the storage compartments. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the floor mats were missing as well as the headphones for the entertainment system. These issues should have been discovered and resolved before the customer delivery. The dealership had 4 days to prep the car. I had to wait, sign more papers, wait, and repeat. Kirk told me he would call me when the Certificate of Origin came in. I thought the COA remained with the car until sold and I did not understand his reference to "when it comes in." However, since I had to return to the dealership to resolve the delivery dependencies, I did not question him. On Tuesday July 16th I received a phone call and learned that my parts were in. I brought the vehicle in that day at approximately 15:30 and was asked if I was going to await the installation of a replacement antenna element. Terralyn had arranged for a loaner car and I advised that I would pick-up the vehicle the following day. The service writer put 09:00 on the paperwork. I returned to the dealership at approximately 11:30 on Wednesday and the vehicle wasn't ready. I was not happy as I left from work to retrieve the car. I asked why the car wasn't ready. He asked "did we call you?" I replied no, you wrote 09:00 on the paperwork, why wouldn't it be ready by 11:30? I told him I needed the car now. He said O.K. it will just be a few minutes. I inquired further: "A few minutes, you haven't even brought the vehicle in yet. How long will it really take?" About an hour was the response. I did not have time to wait and don't appreciate being intentionally mislead. I departed the dealership. I returned today July 18th. Before entering the service area, I attempted to visit Kirk to inquire if my COA had come in. He was absent and I stopped by and made the inquiry with Andrea. She asked me to give her a few minutes. I waited for a couple of minutes and then informed her I would pick up my car from service and hopefully when I returned she'd have an answer. 10 minutes later I returned and she looked at me like she'd never seen me before. I inquired again about the COA and she told me she'd have someone from admin come out and talk to me. I told her I didn't have time to wait around for anyone. Do you have the COA? Why would Kirk tell me the dealership was awaiting the document as I thought it accompanied the vehicle? She told me to wait. I told her I wasn't waiting anymore, I wanted to talk to someone right now. She scolded me for my attitude and stated she'd been nothing but considerate, polite, etc. To which I replied: Considerate? You can't even answer a simple question. She told me to wait, she'd get someone. I told her I wasn't going to wait for anyone. I would contact the manager. And, here I am. At this point I am informing you that I will be contacted the secured party, Navy Federal Credit Union. They can contact you to establish the disposition of my Certificate of Origin. I do not appreciate the way your staff, in particular Andrea treated me in addition to the multiple instances of being intentionally misled as described above. I will be sharing my discontent with KIA Corporate. More
