I was not treated as a valuable client. They were understaffed and I felt rushed. My car was not ready at the time promised. And I am still waiting for my paperwork to be emailed to me despite 3 calls informing them that I had not yet received it. When I called the Customer Relations extension to complain, nobody ever picked up. It continued to ring and ring and ring until it finally automatically transferred me back to the main menu. I only got through by choosing the Sales Dept or the Appointment line. As a full-time worker in an office setting, where I have to physically report to work Mon-Fri, I found the inconvenience overwhelming and annoying. I am being gracias in giving this dealership 2 stars. More
Koons Kia Service - flee as fast as you can Our Kia Sedona started having the oil pressure indicator come on/go off intermittently in the dash, then started leaking oil. Setup appointment for 5/31 to Sedona started having the oil pressure indicator come on/go off intermittently in the dash, then started leaking oil. Setup appointment for 5/31 to fix the oil pressure switch leak issue and also apply the anti-theft update - 2 warranty items only, nothing else. When making the appointment, spoke to a service advisor who stated it would take about 3 hours for these 2 items - could either wait for it or drop it off. Dropped off 5/31 7:40 am, handed the warranty documents to service advisor, who handed them back and stated something about a $160 diagnostic fee for the oil pressure switch issue if ends up not being that. The document specifically states Kia will diagnose the cause for free - no stipulations. Advisor said would know something by end of day. Heard nothing - ended up having to call many times. Every time I called service, could hear it transfer 3 times and keep ringing until get to message to leave voicemail. Left several messages over days and never got any call back. Nobody ever initiated a call to me for an update. Learned you basically have to call main number, then hit 0 (not a menu option) when menu options start to get anyone to talk to, then ask for transfer. They had vehicle 4 days and only did the anti theft update. Only time ever heard from "advisor", Greg, was 3rd day after I called yet again and girl took name/number on post-it note, put in middle of his monitor so he couldn't avoid. Then he would only text. Eventually said they looked over vehicle (I didn't ask for any of that) and recommend $1500 of things to do. He lied about brakes, cabin air filter (brand new) and plugs (not needed or on service schedule for our mileage) - had service at my trustworthy mechanic 3 weeks earlier where they let me know brake measurements, replaced cabin filter, etc. After 4 days and they wouldn't give loaner, had to go pick up van on Saturday...couldn't wait any longer. Their own employees said certain problem employees (including Greg) that need to go. Got home, had to add oil (very low due to leak), checked cabin filter - brand new as I knew. They somehow lost inside glove box left clip when "looking things over". I spoke to service manager on following Monday and only way they'd do anything was to bring it back in. I asked for the glove box clip they lost and they won't even send that. Never another Kia - service and vehicles leave a lot to be desired. Places like this shouldn't even be in business. More
What made me travel from Philadelphia to this dealership in Owings Mills, MD was the salesman name Carey Olivis he was a total professional keeping me in the loop on a 2019 mercedes I've been eyeing for a f in Owings Mills, MD was the salesman name Carey Olivis he was a total professional keeping me in the loop on a 2019 mercedes I've been eyeing for a few weeks he video me the vehicle showing off all the cool features..I just wasn't sure if I wanted to travel so far when there were other dealership not as far. After looking at his video and seeing that he was thorough in his presentation I decided to take a chance on the long ride. When I walk into the dealership I was impressed by how clean and how my wife and I were greeted .I ask for Carey who I wanted to meet inperson not sure if he was working with another customer but I meet another young professional Javon he was very knowledgeable in every question I ask him ..if I was to buy another car or knew of someone who ask about Koons my answer would be Yes go for it ...Carey and Javon represented Koons 💯 The only reason I didn't give you the 5stars is 2 reason 1) I came with a check cash and my ID , I did not need your financial institutions to give me a better rate when I had what was needed to buy this vehicle I did not want my credit ran but was told for security reasons they had to verify who I really was ....dumb on my part I guss I should have refused 2) Your inventory is nice but most of the cars were dirty.. even when I test drove my car BUT was clean up a day later I paid for some type of ceramic wax that I'm not sure if I really got it..I took it to Philadelphia number one detail shop Wills auto detail. I wish you could see it now ...awesome ... other then that give CAREY AND JAVON a RAISE you've got two solid salesman They got me to travel two and half hours.. KOONS OF OWINGS MILLS.. WORTH IT More
We went to this dealership three times before buying a brand new car and worked with Francisco each time. He was very patient, knowledgeable and continued to stay in touch with me until the car we wanted brand new car and worked with Francisco each time. He was very patient, knowledgeable and continued to stay in touch with me until the car we wanted arrived. I had to work with the manager Ron on some things. He was very responsive, made sure everything was taken care of and most importantly that I was happy. Jackie in finance was very thorough and went above and beyond to get us to where we wanted to be payment wise. David the service manager kept me in the loop during my repair process and explained everything in great detail. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with buying a new car. Everyone has been very friendly and the waiting area has been very clean each time I have been there. I was offered more for my trade than the other dealership I had looked at and I didn’t have to go back and forth on the price of the car. They also had a large selection of cars to choose from which is rare now a days! I would absolutely recommend this dealership! More
When I got in the service person continually tired to upsell me on services that were not needed. I forgave it as part of her job, but started to get an uneasy feeling. They then offered to do diagnostics services that were not offered to begin with to identify the problem all for additional charges. I told them to stop working on my car and for the manager to call me back. I was never contacted. I called in the next day to pick it up and was told that my car was not available for pick up because it was "torn apart." When I finally went to get it the manager fed me lines and refused to give my keys back until I paid $1,500 for work that did not fix the problem. More

My experience with Koons Kia of Owings Mills is with the Service Department. At all times they were very professional and upfront. There are times I had concerns however the staff worked to help resolve Service Department. At all times they were very professional and upfront. The outcome was above satisfactory and based on my experience with this dealership I have scheduled to have servie with them again. Unfortunately I can not remember the names of all the staff who assisted in my experience however I would like to extend a special thank you to LaJuan Robinson for keeping us informed and answering any and all questions promptly, I would also like to thank the mechanic who worked on my vehicle, I would also like to thank the Manager of the Service Department who went the extra mile to make my overall experience a postive, honest and plesant one. And also thank you for anyone who assisted in helping that I could not think of. I am looking forward to my upcoming appointment with this dealership. More
