Great service experience I recently moved back to Columbia and I took my Terrain in for service at Win Kelly. I was very surprised to see their new renovated dealership. My service visit was quick, price was just what I was expecting, no surprises. People in the service department were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. Poor experience in service. Poor work / late to complete I brought my '03 Chevrolet 2500HD in for a simple front end alignment appointment. I had previously been to Win Kelly for service on a Corvette and de I brought my '03 Chevrolet 2500HD in for a simple front end alignment appointment. I had previously been to Win Kelly for service on a Corvette and despite a poor experience the first time (for a recall) I took a chance and dropped it off on a Wednesday night for a Thursday morning appointment. I was assured the truck would be done that day which was critical due to needing the truck to tow a trailer on a long trip the following day. The dealership was open until 6PM and when I hadn't heard from them at 4 PM I called. The adviser assured me it would be done in a half hour, so I rode my bicycle to the dealer to pick up the truck. When I arrived, it was still in the service bay. A different adviser told me it would likely not be done until the following day. After reminding the adviser that I was promised the vehicle that day and that it was a simple front end alignment that didn't get started until late in the day, they agreed to complete the work. To their credit, the dealership stayed open late to complete the work. However when I got into the truck I found that the steering wheel was 15 degrees off center. The alignment had not been completed correctly. I ended up fixing the issue myself at home and will never go back to Win Kelly. More
Great Service I was visiting family in the area when my car wouldn't start while shopping at the local mall there in Columbia. I called the dealership and was told I was visiting family in the area when my car wouldn't start while shopping at the local mall there in Columbia. I called the dealership and was told the Service department was closed. I was sent to service voicemail but a Mr.Johnson answered the phone and after listening to my situation came to assist me. After a few minutes under the hood the car started. He said a relay had failed and he swapped it with another so I could get back on the road. I was impressed with his knowledge and your dealerships level of customer service. Thank you very much Mr.Johnson for you help even at dinner time. I think I will make the trip down here when I am ready to my next car. More
Service Recall Experience I took my Saturn Ion to Win Kelly Service on 07/24/14 with a scheduled appointment for the GM ignition recall. When I returned 8 hours later to pick I took my Saturn Ion to Win Kelly Service on 07/24/14 with a scheduled appointment for the GM ignition recall. When I returned 8 hours later to pick up my car, I was informed by David Johnson that my car wasn’t even looked at. David Johnson (Lane Manager) did not apologize nor offer any legitimate reason why my car was not serviced. I left with my car and a very bad impression of the Win Kelly Service Department. First thing the next morning, Lyle (Service Manager) called to apologize for the terrible treatment I received the day before. He assured me that he and Kevin Bell (Managing Partner) take very seriously their customers’ concerns. Within 24 hours of my conversation with Lyle, my Saturn was serviced for the recall. Based on my dealings with Lyle (Service Manager) I would give Win Kelly Service Department 5 stars. David Johnson is a 1 star, if that. Thank you, Lyle. More
Poor experience with body shop I have previously purchased a new Chevy and it is coming off of lease next month and I planned to lease a new Chevy from Win Kelly. Now all bets are I have previously purchased a new Chevy and it is coming off of lease next month and I planned to lease a new Chevy from Win Kelly. Now all bets are off and I will give my new car business to a different Chevy dealer due to a terrible customer service experience. Bottom line is I have been "promised" by the body dealership the car would be ready for the past 5 days, and every day it is not ready. The manager of the body shop has lost his credibility with me. I have tried to escalate this issue to dealership management, but have not been able to get anyone on the phone. For this reason Win Kelly has lost our families business. More

We have been to Win Kelly for services a couple of times now. The first time was for a recall in June 2013, but we had to bring the vehicle back twice for the recall because the first time they installed th now. The first time was for a recall in June 2013, but we had to bring the vehicle back twice for the recall because the first time they installed the repair but couldn't program it. They had to take the new part back out, put the old part back in, and have us come back a week later to re-do the repair. Meanwhile, we barely had communication with them during the times they had the car because they didn't respond to phone calls and didn't call US to inform us as to what was happening. We told them we needed the vehicle back by a certain time, and was told that was no problem. Then they failed to meet that time. The second time we went to Win Kelly for service, it was because several lights were lit up on our dashboard (engine light and traction control service light). We went in for service and for another recall repair. They ended up charging us an exorbitant amount for the repairs (near $1000), but otherwise we would have had to pay an astounding "diagnosis" fee. Within three days of bringing the car home (and driving it 2x), the engine light turned on again. We called to have them re-look why, and brought the car in. This time they told is it would cost another $850 for repairs. No apology as to how this "code" was missed the week before, or why we now had a second issue just coincidentally crop up right after bringing the car home from their repair facility. This seems so incredibly scammy to me, we refused to have them do the second set of work on our vehicle. We will go somewhere more reputable. Meanwhile, when I brought the car in for the first set of issues (engine light & traction light), I was checking the car in and one of the service people began cursing repeatedly, loudly, and boldly about his paycheck. Literally, five feet away from me, facing me, so I was clearly in his view. It was so unprofessional and so uncomfortable that I made my husband pick up the car, and made him check the car in the next time we went. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WIN KELLY SERVICE. They clearly have no clue how to properly diagnose issues, and they have no respect for their customers. More

I could go though a litany of reasons to go with Win Kelly. But to spare the reader and me, Win Kelly Chev, GMC ... etc., has been a respectable, family oriented place to purchase an automobile who make Kelly.
