I've been more than satisfied with Kolar's since 1985!! I have dealt with Mark Larson and the Kolar dealership exclusively since 1985 and have always been treated more than fairly and with great respect. M I have dealt with Mark Larson and the Kolar dealership exclusively since 1985 and have always been treated more than fairly and with great respect. Mark has always been my "go-to" guy and I've highly recommended him to many friends and colleagues. The service department has always been great to work with as well. Their service has always been completed in a timely manner and to my great satisfaction! More

Horrible Service and Vehicle I bought a vehicle from them 7 months ago and have had nothing but problems. After 3 weeks the vehicle had stalled on me twice. I brought it in and th I bought a vehicle from them 7 months ago and have had nothing but problems. After 3 weeks the vehicle had stalled on me twice. I brought it in and they had it for about 2-3 hours and then said nothing was wrong. Over the next month or so I got my oil changed and then had to get it changed early because the oil was low and extremely dark. I called and they told me that I would have to get my oil changed by them 3 times so they could monitor it before they would fix anything. that is 9,000 miles on a vehicle not working well before they would even CONSIDER looking into what was going on. MIND YOU, GM has a special coverage on this issue for my vehicle that still qualifies. Then, after research, there is a special coverage on my catalytic converter for another 10,000 miles that they did not look into doing after it has stalled on me twice and because no engine light is appearing and they cannot duplicate the stalling they will not fix it. I have called 4 times ( in one day ) and 2 times another day to talk to a sales person to see if they will just buy it back or try to work out a deal to get a different vehicle and was told I would get a call back every time and NEVER DID. They then decided to text me on a Saturday morning a week or two after the fact to ask me if I wanted to come in and get my car looked at to trade in and I told them no, and that I had called multiple times and never got a call back and that I would look into taking my business else where. I then get a voicemail from a gentleman the following Monday. Only because I text my concern of bringing business elsewhere. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would NEVER recommend this place. I am filing a formal complaint to GM about them for not fixing my vehicle as contracted through GM. What a joke of a place. More
The bosses are in a meeting. My son and I went there on Thursday June 22nd to test drive a 2016 Nissan Altima. We called before arriving and talked to Steve Fresacher. My son was My son and I went there on Thursday June 22nd to test drive a 2016 Nissan Altima. We called before arriving and talked to Steve Fresacher. My son was preapproved for a loan through our credit union by the way. The test drive went well and my son was very interested in buying the car. When we sat down with Steve he told us the bosses were in a meeting and he couldn't talk numbers but he would call us in a half hour. He never called. My son then had to call him twice Friday morning and he made a fair starting offer. Steve again told him all the bosses were in a meeting and he would call us Saturday morning. Guess what. He never called. I emailed both sales managers. Never got a response from either one. The internet sales person called and I asker to put me through to the sales manager. His name was Tom. Tom offered no explanation or apology for Steve. I see on their Facebook page they did sell some cars on Thursday and Friday. So some of the salesman were able to track down the bosses between meetings. Just not Steve apparently. Steve obviously isn't worried about selling cars. This was going to be sons first car buying experience from a dealer and he walked away pretty bummed out. Good job Steve Fresacher! The owner or owners of Kolar Toyota are lucky to have such a great salesman as yourself on their team! You clearly have no limits when it comes to making the car buying experience a fun one. More
Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Slimy, Grimy, Salesman. Agreed to a price on a new car before driving two hour's to the dealership. Got there and the slimy salesman upped the price a couple grand. Got tired Agreed to a price on a new car before driving two hour's to the dealership. Got there and the slimy salesman upped the price a couple grand. Got tired of arguing and agreed to pay more and sleaze ball said he needed approval from his boss in the morning first. Sleazy calls me the next day and upped the price a couple grand more. Also took away all discounts and promised deals, but still expected me to do business with him. Really brings to mind the typical slimy, grimy car salesman image you would expect from some small time used car lot. Yuck! More
Stay away! Bought a used 2011 Sonata from Kolar Hyundai, price seemed right and salesman was helpful and nice. Requested to do financing through my local credit Bought a used 2011 Sonata from Kolar Hyundai, price seemed right and salesman was helpful and nice. Requested to do financing through my local credit union, they said no problem they can do that. When the loan documents were ready to be signed, they had the loan set up through a large nationwide loan company. I asked why, he said that he was able to get me a better rate through them. Bought the car, then the next morning, just for kicks, I called my local credit union to see what their rates were, and lo and behold, they were 1.5% lower! they had no record of being contacted by Kolar the previous day. I went back to Kolar to confront him about it, and he laughed and told me he figured I should go with the big nationwide company because that would help my credit score. I told him to refund me the difference in interest charges over the life of the 6 yr loan and he laughed. About 2 days later I heard noise coming from the exhaust and went to the other Kolar building (the one that services the Hyundai's) and was told "If it gets worse, stop back, but its not too bad yet". I called and asked to speak to the general manager about my issues, when he finally called me back 3 days later I explained to him the issue with the loan and the exhaust and he replied with a chuckle and said "you signed the papers, not my problem" Needless to say, "The Kolar Experience" (as their tagline reads) is one experience you want to avoid! I did not buy a car from there, but that is only because they didn't have anything at the time I wanted. The salesman I worked with at Kolar Hyundai was awesome. He was friendly and helpful. I told him w they didn't have anything at the time I wanted. The salesman I worked with at Kolar Hyundai was awesome. He was friendly and helpful. I told him what I was looking for and he spent a lot of time researching all the cars on Kolar's lot in order to find the right vehicle for me. As luck would have it, I happened to find the right vehicle for me on an impromptu trip to other towns. I would have bought a car from Kolar in a heartbeat if the right one had been there! More
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was in the store filling out paper work, in the process of buying a car, and they sold that car to someone else..WHILE I WAS THERE! Lana handled the transaction, issued me temporary Wisconsin License Tag, and sent me on my way. Three months later my temporary tags expire. I contact Wisconsin Dmv, and they tell me they have no title or application, call Kolar Toyota. It took several calls until Pat acknowledged that the vehicle was previously titled in Washington State, and the title was lost. I called the Washington State DMV and asked if a title had been applied for. It had not been. This was a certified used Toyota Tundra from a Toyota dealer with a clean Carfax. I am unable to drive this Truck until Kolar Toyota gets a title from Washington State. This can take 3 to 12 weeks. Kolar Toyota does not care about customers and I would never deal with them or refer them to anyone. More
