Most unexperienced service staff I brought my 2015 Silverado in October 28th for transmission issues, and it was finally looked at on October 30th. Brent the service advisor called stating that they ordered a part to fix the truck and he'd call me when it's ready. He didn't tell me what was wrong, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. I had to ask!! He failed to tell me the part was on back order. The service was covered under warranty, I was denied a rental/loaner vehicle. I tried to share my complaints with the service manager but my calls went unanswered until I emailed the General Manager. I then contacted Customer Care who told me I was entitled to a rental which the dealer still failed to provide me. I finally got my truck back November 15, over 2 weeks. Brent has NO knowledge of vehicle mechanics, he stated he thought it would be a simple service, also his description of the part was a cover with bolts. OK..... Upon getting the vehicle back I found out they had to drop the transmission, replace gaskets, filter, fluids, and gears 1,2,3,4. Not so simple. Another service writer told me I probably didn't get the rental because I'm the 2nd owner. what part of that comment makes any sense?!?! I purchased the vehicle at Rice Lake Chevy with a warranty. The service manager, service writers at Kolar Chevy should Not be employed in the automotive industry. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE FOR SERVICE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!! More

Be very careful when buying a car from Kolar Chevrolet I purchased s used Chevrolet Silverado from this dealership. I tried several times to express my disappointment with this dealership. It started wit I purchased s used Chevrolet Silverado from this dealership. I tried several times to express my disappointment with this dealership. It started with the salesman/finance person and spread all the way to the owner Peter Kolar. Peter seemed nice and seemed as though he wanted the situation resolved but soon the truth came out. Peter was only listening to me to hear himself talk. He expressed no remorse of my situation, failed to find even 1 small issue where he could of accepted a little culpability, and was constantly trying to place blame on anybody he could that was somehow not affiliated with his company. At the very end of our conversation he told me to mail him a letter explaining what I was asking for. I have now mailed that letter as requested, and I have followed it up by leaving two VM’s. I know Peter was just talking to talk because I did exactly what he wanted and have not even received a reply back. Peter did not even have the common courtesy to contact me and either make a counter offer or even just come out and say sue me of do whatever you need to do. The ratings on the web-site I’m positive don’t reflect the actual satisfaction. These people will figuratively make you sit an one of their offices until you promise them (or if you don’t know how they ensure somebody will come in the office so you understand how to give a favorable review. Is one guy (me) really gonna hurt one of his 3 dealerships? No! Could Peter be a stand up guy and do the right thing? Doing the right thing would only cost him 3k. Wow!!! Think about if you really want to buy a car from an owner that will not correct a simple issue for $3k, does nothing but deflect the issues or problems on to other people, etc The truth of the matter is you could have s much more serious or problem that I have and be screwed!!! Peter offered no assistance or response, is failing to do the right thing, willing to exploit a vulnerable adult, and lastly put my credit in the crapper cuz he doesn’t want to do the right thing.... If your dead set on Chevrolet ( I am) thank god theres at least 1 other GM dealer in the Duluth, Mn area. I was going to say being totally bananas I might purchase a different vehicle from him if it works in my favor but it appears that Mr Kolar is prepared to ruin my credit which is in turn going to screw me on many of my future financial opportunities ( because he’s fails to pay 3k)which is literally going to screw up my entire life!!!!
