Great experience, which says a lot since it was a dealership. I was doing some car shopping before I entered Hyundai of Long Island city and every where I went the sales person I've dealt with was always pushy an I was doing some car shopping before I entered Hyundai of Long Island city and every where I went the sales person I've dealt with was always pushy and didn't understand i was just shopping. They tried to get me to put deposits down for cars I wasn't sure I even wanted. When I got to Hyundai of Long Island city my sales person Brian Gamboa helped me and took me step by step through the process. He stood with me and my family for an hour even though I told him I'm not buying a car today, instead of brushing me off he said that's fine atleast I'll gain some knowledge of the Hyundai product. I ended up leaving and me and Brian Gamboa exchanged numbers. I called him the next day and told him I made up my mind and wanted the Santa Fe Sport 2.0 turbo, it was his day off but he dropped what he was doing and went to the dealership to make this transaction happen for me. Brian thank you for everything, my family loves the car and I'm still in awe over it. I highly recommend Brian Gamboa as your future sales person and Hyundai of Long Island city in general as a dealership. They're professional, courteous, and never pushy. Great first time experience After doing as much research as I could on the Hyundai Elantra I'd had my eye on, I walked into the dealership ready for a struggle with overly eager After doing as much research as I could on the Hyundai Elantra I'd had my eye on, I walked into the dealership ready for a struggle with overly eager salespeople. I had to go alone, so that made me even more wary and guarded. I walked into the used car lot and approached the first rep I saw: Rich Samaroo. Within five minutes of talking to him, I was much more at ease with being a first time buyer. He asked what I was looking for and showed me the inventory without ever pressuring me to buy something other than what I wanted, and outlined the entire used car purchase so I knew what to expect.. What's more, he gave me tips on what to keep my eyes open for when purchasing a vehicle, and really educated me on the whole process. Rich, and the other staff members I dealt with, were very understanding and friendly the entire time I was there. At the end of the day, I came out with a 2015 Hyundai Elantra that I already love. I will be recommending Hyundai of LIC to anyone who is looking to purchase a new vehicle! More
