Buying My First Truck I've been looking at used Chevy Silverado pick ups for the past few months and saw one on Kocourek's website that I was interested in. I called in and spoke with a sales associate that informed me the truck was still on the lot and that I could stop by at my convenience to take it for a test drive. When I arrived to the lot the sales associate apologized for the truck having a little dirt on it and I told him it wasn't a problem. He got a copy of my driver's license and handed me the keys to the truck. Shortly after leaving the lot I heard what sounded like a chain dragging on the road behind the truck. I drove for a few more minutes and heard a ding. The truck was low on fuel. I returned to the lot after only about 5 minutes. When I returned to the lot the sales associate asked how I liked the truck. I voiced my concern about the sound I heard and he said, "I'm not a mechanic boss. The only way I could tell you what the noise was is to have a mechanic put it up on a lift. We have all of our used vehicles put through an inspection, so if it was anything major I'm sure they would have caught it." He asked, "So is that truck out of the picture?" I said, "No, but I would like a mechanic to fix the noise I heard before I'd consider purchasing it." He brought me inside and looked up a few other vehicles on the lot and then escorted me out to the lot to look at a few other trucks. I didn't see any other vehicles that really caught my eye so we went back into the dealership. We sat down and he asked me about the initial truck again. I said, "You know, like I said I'd want a mechanic to figure out what was causing that noise before I'd make a purchase." I also said, "I think the truck's a little overpriced." I gave him a number that I felt was fair and he shot it down right away. He said, "We don't negotiate prices. We follow the market values and with this economy the value that's on the sticker is what the truck is worth." I then told him, "I saw a truck on Gross Automotive's website that is the same year with similar features that is closer to my price." He then said, "Well if you think you can find a better deal elsewhere then I wish you luck my friend." He then flipped his computer screen around briefly to show me the going range for this model. I think he was surprised to see that the number I had mentioned was relatively spot on. Now I had anticipated paying a little more than the number I had started with. That's how negotiation works, but after that experience I probably will never return to Kocourek. I persisted that I was making a fair offer and told the associate if he changed his mind that he could give me a call. He said, "While the truck is on the lot we'll drop the price on it one time and then it'll be sent to auction if it doesn't go." He got up from his chair, told my fiance and I to have a good weekend, and led us to the door. I don't feel like my business is valued at Kocourek Chevrolet. And I didn't feel like I would be receiving value for my hard earned money had I purchased the truck at their asking price. For those reasons I would not recommend this dealership to any of my family or friends. If someone from Kocourek reads this I would make a recommendation to you. Treat younger customers as well or better than you would treat any other customer. People are creatures of habit. If you treat someone right the first time you'll receive their business for years to come. If you treat them poorly the first time you'll not only lose their business, but you'll lose their friends' business and now anybody who reads this will think twice. More

He explained every option very thoroughly to me and my mother; no pressure to buy. When I decided to commit to a lease, he made me feel like part of the Kocourek family; welcome to come in anytime for a car wash or ask any questions I had. He followed up to be sure I was understanding all the features of the vehicle too. I am really enjoying my Cruze. It is the perfect car that fits my needs and is very affordable-great gas mileage. I plan to work with Mike for many years to come! More
I have dealt with this dealer twice. I will never deal with again. I bought a car from them and it was very poorly pre-deliverd. Can you belive a used 2010 car that had wiper blades that were so bad that with again. I bought a car from them and it was very poorly pre-deliverd. Can you belive a used 2010 car that had wiper blades that were so bad that the blades did not have any wipeing rubber left on them. When I tried out the car it shook and shimmied bad at 55mph. They were supposed to fix and did somewhat, It wasn't as bad at delivery but was still there. I would never buy another vehicle from this dealer, and would not advise anyone else to!!! Oh!! by the way, they never did fix or offer to fix anything. More
We had purchased a vehicle six months ago from Kocourek Chevrolet. It did not meet our expectations and was not large enough for our family. We returned to Kocourek in regards to a trade in for a larger us Chevrolet. It did not meet our expectations and was not large enough for our family. We returned to Kocourek in regards to a trade in for a larger used vehicle. We were offered a low trade in value, and they would not negotiate. We were dismissed easily without any questions or offers. No way to go back in time six months, but if we could we wouldn't have purchased a car from them. More
It all started when I went in to Kocourek's with my mom and dad to see about purchasing a new Camaro. I went in with the intention of ordering one straight from the assembly plant. I sat down with a sa mom and dad to see about purchasing a new Camaro. I went in with the intention of ordering one straight from the assembly plant. I sat down with a salesman and he initially told me that they hadn't sold any of these cars to anyone under the age of 50(I was 19 at the time). He asked me what color and what options I wanted on the car. I told him that I wanted Imperial Blue Metallic for the color and told him what else I wanted and he entered it into his computer and searched to see if any cars from nearby dealerships matched what I wanted. There where none. So he looked at the similar ones. Now, the price of these cars range from $33,000 to $45,000 and the one that I wanted with my options came out to around $41,000. If I am going to spend that much money on a car, I want it to be exactly the way I want it. No different color and no missing options. So I told him that I was interested in ordering one. He told me no one does that anymore these days because they have this new system where they can trade cars with other dealerships to get one that matches my options. So I asked him the price of what my options would be and he told me he would give me a call the next day and that he would keep searching for a car. so the next day rolls around and he calls. He told told me he found a car for me. He proceeded to name off a car and its options. It was missing half the stuff I wanted. I said no and asked the price once again. He told me he would give me a call the next day. This was right after the earthquake in Japan happened(May 2011). So he calls me the next day. He told me that he found a car for me, and names off two cars, one that was the same from the day before, and one that wasn't even in the color I wanted! I told him no thanks and that I really would prefer to order one. He then says ok, so what color would you like? I told him that I wanted Imperial Blue Metallic, and I know for a fact that he already knew this. He then says I'm sorry, but GM stopped taking orders for that color yesterday. What I got out of this? I believe he knew about this deadline and intentionally waited me out so I would be forced to buy one off the lot. So I went elsewhere. More

We have done business with Kocourek previously for a used vehicle. The experience we had with them then is what brought us back again. Aaron is fantastic at his job and would bend over backwards if it mean vehicle. The experience we had with them then is what brought us back again. We ended up paying a little more for our vehicle than we had hoped but Toni was able to search the market and find us a loan payment that we were comfortable with. Our search for a new vehicle began with a test drive in the Chevy Cruze. Kim Haase made us feel welcome and was very informative, yet never came across as being pushy. When we came back for another test drive (this time the Chevy Equinox) we requested to talk to Kim and once again we were treated with respect and given plenty of time and assistance to make our final decision on our new Chevy Equinox! It was a BIG decision for us to make, but Kim was patient and very helpful. Also "thanks" to Marc Levy for all of his financial help to make our buying experience a complete pleasure.
