Varied It took me months to decide what I wanted. I have had 8 VW's prior to this purchase and I always enjoyed them, so after 25+ years, I decided to get a It took me months to decide what I wanted. I have had 8 VW's prior to this purchase and I always enjoyed them, so after 25+ years, I decided to get another VW. I couldn't decide between a Passat and a Golf Alltrack. Both are recommended by Consumer Reports. Kyle was very patient with me and eventually I opted for the Passat. I ended up purchasing the R-type Passat, never having driven it or even sitting in it. When I picked up the vehicle, I was surprised that it was not keyless entry and start. I don't recall if I was told this - I do remember being told one difference between the SE model and the R-type, was the lack of a sunroof, which I have never used on any of my previous cars, so that didn't bother me. I was also disappointed that it does not have memory seats. I don't want this review to sound too negative, because I truly like this vehicle and can live without the items I mentioned. There is one thing I am very disappointed in, however and that is the financing. I was told if I did not take the special VW financing, and got financing on my own, the financing I was able to get would be matched. I received 36 month financing from Wells-Fargo at 3.99%. I assumed when I signed all the papers that rate would be matched. Big mistake. The financing rate is 5.49% for 48 months and I was told the rate would have been higher if I financed for 36 months. If I was going to finance it for 48 months, I would be very irate. Fortunately, I will be paying off the loan in 4 months, so the hit isn't too bad. Bottom line - make certain you get the best finance rate you can and get the rate quote from Young's before you sign any papers - the words are only as good as the paper they're written on. I will be keeping this vehicle for a short time and will be looking for an all wheel drive sedan, probably in 2019. I would like to purchased a fully loaded VW (Arteon?) next. I only hope the people involved in the finance process read this. Either keep your word about the matching rate or tell the sales rep not to mislead the customers about matching the lowest rate one can get. More
