Mike the business manager was also easy to deal with and gave me a great deal on an extended factory warranty. Chris also has and continues to be helpful in checking out some other minor after market options I’m interested in. In October of 2017 I went to Koch 33 Toyota to purchase a Tacoma. One of the first things I noticed was the willingness of the staff to "bad mouth" other Toyota dealerships. Really? I explained that I had already selected the vehicle I wished to purchase and only wished to check a couple of varying features to make a final determination. That we accomplished and I advised the salesman of the "specific" vehicle I wished to purchase. That vehicle was not on the lot. I spent over 2 1/2 hours explaining that I was not interested in purchasing a different type vehicle from their lot. I went as far as showing them print-outs and information from Toyota's website of the truck I wished to purchase. They continued to balk at the deal. Only after I walked out did they decide that I offered them a VERY fair deal. I also had them include an accessory at a significant extra cost. My mistake was in assuming the accessory would already be installed upon delivery. When the delivery date came, the vehicle was not the specific one on the website (although it did include all features I requested) and, through their own admission, the accessory/add-on had not even been ordered. Simply pathetic. The main reason for me to order the add-on through them was to have the vehicle complete upon delivery. I was well aware that I had paid over $300 more than had I done this myself, just for the convenience. A week plus later they advised me the add-on had arrived. I asked to have them install it the next day (a job that in the end I did in 30 minutes by myself at my home, which now I am certain I could accomplish in less than 20 minutes). The staff member tells me they have no openings available and she can double check to see if they had any cancellations. Really? Is this a car place or the doctor's office? The next available time would be in a week. In the end I picked up and installed the accessory myself. I could have had it delivered to my door for over $300 less. Thanks for NOTHING Koch 33 Toyota. I wrote to Bob Bozarth regarding my dissatisfaction his reply was filled with denials. BEWARE: Koch 33 Toyota utilizes underhanded, shady sales tactics at every turn. They will change the background music to what they believe is your preference while you are there. When you're negotiating, the volume of the music is turned up to distract you and attempt to confuse you. The sales manager will change the topic mid-stream when he's "called-out". They use buzzwords like "transparency" without backing it up. (I nicknamed the salesman "The Buzzword Kid" when sharing my experience with friends & family.) They are nothing more than the same old shady Milham with a new coat of paint. BEWARE!!! More
