Kingstowne MotorCars responded

In response to our customer that purchased the 2006 Audi A6 and is unhappy with the transaction I would like to explain our side. The vehicle was sold sight unseen to Mr. and Mrs. Wallum that lives in Colorado. Mrs. Wallum was able to view 30 pictures of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. In addition to all the pictures that were available on our Website, we emailed eleven other pictures at his request. Once the vehicle was received by Mrs. Wallum, she called and started to explain that this is not the color she prefers. She mentioned that the color was not the “Grey color she was looking for. She then began to accuse us of selling her the wrong color. We faxed over the CarFax which is a recognized source of vehicle data history. On the CarFax there was 4 different dates that the vehicle was taken to DMV for registration and it noted that the color is Gray. We also faxed over a copy of the title which clearly states the color being Gray. Mrs. Wallum insisted that the vehicle color is Blue/Purple and not Gray. We suggested that she calls Audi and provide them with VIN# of the vehicle so Audi can determine what color the vehicle is. Few hours later after they completed all of their research with Audi they realized that Audi does not have an exact Gray color. Audi offers 2 shade of Gray Oyster Gray Metallic and Atlas Gray Metallic. Mrs. Wallum continuously insisted that there is a charcoal gray color that Audi offers and that’s what she wanted. Apparently in 2004 Audi did offer a darker gray color, specified as dolphin gray however after 2004 it was no longer offered. So finally to resolve the matter we offered to take the vehicle back at a $2500 cost to the customer which we believe was reasonable. If that was not the case everyone would buy a car and call back to return it for whatever reason they did not like the car. This is definitely not the first vehicle we sold to an out of state customer that purchased sight unseen. You can visit our website to determine our fair and quality business. You can see also see Dealer Rater, cars.com , washington post from all the positive reviews we get from customer who bought repeatedly cars sight unseen.
