So frustrating I hate giving negative reviews but OMG. I made a simple phone call last Saturday to find out if I could bring a battery in for warranty exchange that I hate giving negative reviews but OMG. I made a simple phone call last Saturday to find out if I could bring a battery in for warranty exchange that was bought over the counter, My first call from Service to Parts was dropped. My 2nd call I was immediately put on hold. After 23 minutes I hung up. My 3rd call was dropped or purposely hung up on. My 4th call I was finally connected to Parts. Explained I had not bought it there but I had the receipt and the original dealer (40 miles away) said I could take it anywhere for a 50% credit based on age. Also explained I was scared to drive the car as you could not shut it off without jumping it again. Gave me a hard time about having to take the battery back to the original dealer and I argued against that so he said he would talk to his manager on Monday and I had to call back. Really? An hour on the phone and I had to call back Monday which I did and was told, ok, no problem bring the battery in and they would do the exchange. Today I take it in after leaving work early and am told it has to be in the car to test. Adamant that I had to bring the car in with the battery that wont charge and doesn't provide enough juice to close the window. I made it clear twice it would not be in the car and was told no problem. Such lousy customer service. Not the first time received poor customer service here but this is the last I will ever step in the place. All I got was sorry for the miscommunication. I was really irate for my 2 hour investment for what I thought was a super simple problem to resolve and left empty handed. Had to have the car to test it? It's a dead freaking battery that won't even charge with a trickle charger hooked up to it for 2 days. VW has enough customer credibility issues as it is with the TDI lies.... you think they would be a little more accommodating to keep their current customers... More
Dealer lied about free 20K service Took my 2015 TDI Gold in for a 20K service that the salesman promised would be covered. It wasn't. The service tech didn't even check with the sales Took my 2015 TDI Gold in for a 20K service that the salesman promised would be covered. It wasn't. The service tech didn't even check with the salesman to see if he had promised me the service--he just told me flat out that they wouldn't honor it. The salesman lied. On top of that, the 20K service is just and oil and filter change and tire rotation. The dealer wanted $315. So, I went to a Jiffy Lube, got a synthetic oil change that meets VW specs and a tire rotation for $90. Dealer service was just as much of a scam as the lying salesman. Awful. Now I"m stuck with a car that lies about emissions sold to me by a salesman who lies about service agreements and a service department that are robbing people. More
Certified safety hazard Sales associate assured me the pulsation I felt in the brakes during the test drive was "a feature of the brake system". Had the vehicle in for servi Sales associate assured me the pulsation I felt in the brakes during the test drive was "a feature of the brake system". Had the vehicle in for service at my local VW dealership several times and asked them to check the brakes as the pulsation seemed to be getting worse. Each time I was assured the brakes were fine...even after the "low brake fluid" alarm had been going off. Finally, the alarm was going off every few minutes. So, we take it in again, and are told the caliper is broken and leaking brake fluid. The local dealership initially did not want to repair the caliper due to "non-factory parts". I informed him the parts were on the car when it was certified pre-owned by King VW, so they reluctantly replaced the caliper...and nothing else. The car still had a terrible vibration while braking since they had not replaced the warped rotor or the non-factory pads that were such an issue. The local dealership informed me I would need to contact the dealership where I bought the car. This is where things got ugly. The service manager was extremely rude and had the nerve to question my integrity when I insisted this issue had persisted since I bought the car (I am a honor, courage, and commitment card carrying former United States Marine and veteran...needless to say my integrity is very important to me). Eventually he conceded to pay for the rotors that were clearly warped when I bought the car, and I had to come out of pocket for the new pads(factory ones that should have been on there from the begining) and labor. I still have a vibration from the front brakes due to the rotors that were machined during the certification inspection less than a year ago. To make matters worse, this is my wife's car, and she has been pregnant during this very unsafe ordeal. The salesman was a liar, and the service center cuts corners. Turns out the owner is ill, and the service manager is his son. Buyer beware if Jason is the future of this dealership. More
Don't fall for their fake honesty. Everything was fine with the service department at this dealership until I gave them a bad score on a CSI survey. I took my car here to have the valve cover replaced which cost 516 bucks. So the car is now smoking from the engine and also from the tail pipe to the point I could not see anything behind me. This was not h cost 516 bucks. So the car is now smoking from the engine and also from the tail pipe to the point I could not see anything behind me. This was not happening to my car until they did work to it. I take the car back and they say it's an oil leak somewhere and the engine is dirty. So of course they charge me 99 bucks and 100 dollar diagnostic test to see where the leak is coming from. So they say the leak is coming from the vacuum pump. $1700 for that to be replaced. Of course I declined because I would like to get another opinion. The car does not smell like an oil leak, it smells more like plastic burning. I believe that one of the tech did something to my car and will they will not own up to. The car drives fine until 45 min- an hour on the road and its smoke every where. I hear clicking noises when this starts happening. I'm basically car less now because someone is not doing their job correctly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I wish I would have never had the cover replaced. Wasting so much xxxxing money and its ridiculous!!!! More
I leased my 2008 Jetta in early 2008 with the expectation that it would be a smooth 3 years. However I've has lackluster support from the service department. 8 months in the car developed a bad squeak from t that it would be a smooth 3 years. However I've has lackluster support from the service department. 8 months in the car developed a bad squeak from the rear brakes and a strange problem with the front passenger door. I took it for service and they "found nothing wrong". Then with less than 13000 miles on the car the rear brakes are gone and it will cost $400 to replace? $400 for $90 worth of parts and one hour labor? And my door problem still isn't fixed. No thanks. At least the people are friendly. More
