James McGarry - King Buick Maryland My wife and I knew we wanted a Buick Enclave for our family and us. We are very thorough and had done our research. We wanted a test drive to close My wife and I knew we wanted a Buick Enclave for our family and us. We are very thorough and had done our research. We wanted a test drive to close the deal and discovered King Buick on-line. We went on a slow day in the afternoon and were introduced to Jim McGarry. Enough said. Jim is professional, authentic, knowledgeable, engaging and humorous. We had a great experience in our first meeting. After that experience we did some research on pricing, comparisons and as a USAA member I looked to take advantage of USAA price benefits. Jim's calm and pleasant manner, and the choices King Buick had quickly proved that regardless of where the vehicle was we wished to purchase through Jim and King. This was confirmed after extensive research and determination that King had the best prices and the inventory. Truly the best car buying experience we have ever had over the past 25 years and not only are we highly pleased with our Enclave we are just as happy with King and feel fortunate to have met Jim. After the sale he has been responsive with requests we have had (I left my phone charger and a key chain in my trade in which he promptly mailed to me with a hand written thank you note) and pleasant touch bases to see if we are happy with the vehicle and any training we may desire to become more familiar with the vehicle. Our entire experience was very professional and pleasant including all of our interaction with Finance as well-which was great! I highly recommend King Buick and if you desire a great experience with a classy outfit and a professional you want to work with Jim McGarry. More
16 Year Loyal Customer - Needed Refreshing My review is updated based on their recent / honest effort to retain me as a customer. After 16 years of customer loyalty, I'm was done. Failin My review is updated based on their recent / honest effort to retain me as a customer. After 16 years of customer loyalty, I'm was done. Failings in service quality was my biggest issue, not in their friendliness or other factors. I'm editing and updating my previous extensive review only because the Manager contacted me personally to try to offer some guarantees to ensure personal service oversight and to offer first and formost and as a reflection of the issues I've had to deal with, they also offered me free service (oil changes, tire rotations.) on both my GM vehicles for a year in reflection of the issues I have more recently experiences. This was all in reflection of my loyalty and the fact they know I have been a fair and reasonable customer. For those reasons, I will give them another chance to earn my trust and continued business.........and hopefully loyalty to years to come. I do appreciate their efforts. Previous long time customer -- and hopefully a continuation of my long term loyalty if earned. Paul Argyropoulos More
AMAZING SALES TEAM!!! WOOT! WOOT!!! Good morning. I wanted to send a Testimonial on our experience with King Buick! I can't hold back...BEST experience ever in car shopping! My husband a Good morning. I wanted to send a Testimonial on our experience with King Buick! I can't hold back...BEST experience ever in car shopping! My husband and I purchased 2 vehicles that day. Unfortunately he didn't get his from King Buick and to say the least he didn't have such a great experience. My sales rep Jim McGarry was absolutely great! We communicated a lot via email and text which was what I preferred because of my busy schedule. Everything was pretty much complete before I arrived! All I needed to do was sign the papers! The financial guy we worked with was HILARIOUS! He even was able to get my rate down even lower. I truly believed both of these gentleman "worked for ME." They were honest and friendly. I purchased a 2012 Terrain and absolutely love it! I was concerned about snow and they were able to explain the difference of 4 wheel drive vs. AWD. After the past few days of snow, I am in love with AWD compared to my Explorer I traded in. We traveled a hour and a half to go to King Buick, but it was worth EVERY MILE! I'll be back when it comes time for the next vehicle and I can't stop telling my friends and family about the amazing experience!! Jim, I can't thank you enough! I am very happy with the Terrain. We went from a Ford Family to a GMC/Chevy Family and I can tell you now that we won't be going back! You were great! Best of luck to you and have a save 2015 as well, fellow birthday person! ;) Mr. Aschenbach, you have a GREAT team! More

A week of horrible dealing. Would very rarely return my calls or reply to emails. Had to constantly bug to get any kind of answer and they never get their facts straight. Was interested in a 2008 cadillac calls or reply to emails. Had to constantly bug to get any kind of answer and they never get their facts straight. Was interested in a 2008 cadillac SRX. First off after finding the vehicle on autotrader.com, the first listed price was 23,900. We talked for a little and after a bit a dealing I decided to give a credit app. I agreed to a $2k downpayment. After a little while (she never called) i called to find out the status. Se tells me I'm approved for 27,991 (which i think she lied to me) through 2 different banks! What! Where the heck did 27991 come from? Oh we forgot to add the price for the all new tires and brakes and rotors they had to put on to pass MD state inspection she tells me. No joke that very same day they raised the price on the Internet. So after dealing with them some more with my attitude now they decide to honor the first original price of 23,9 plus the inspection fee of $1938.00. I decided to go for it. Financing now would be 23,8 after my 2k down. Wouldn't you know it, they submit a new offer to the bank and run my credit again! Keep in mind that I never got my answers all in the same day. They can only handle one task a day. Wouldn't get an answer till the following day. This is like the 3rd or 4th day now of bickering back and forth. Any how, the next day after me calling them again to find out what my term was and how much my payment was gonna be, she says "can you put $4k down? The bank will only loan you so much". After I was supposedly already approved for a higher amount. I questioned her the first time when she told me I was approved the first time for 27991. I found it very hard to believe the bank approved that kind of loan when the vehicle wasn't even worth that much to start. No bank will approve a loan for more than the value of the car. The point of this review is their prices are way to high over the actual value of the car. They will lie to you, change their prices on you and not respond to anything you ask them in a timely manner. Would I ever deal with them, absolutely not. Would I refer them, absolutely not. We did not by the car. No dealer will sucker me into paying for their mistake and/or loss. I hate to say this cause we really did like the car, but I was glad that I told them that the deal was over! Just couldn't deal with them anymore. More
SO, my hubby has been in the market looking for a specific truck, a ford F150 with many requirements. The hubs decided to expand his search parameter so he could get a larger number of options within specific truck, a ford F150 with many requirements. The hubs decided to expand his search parameter so he could get a larger number of options within our price range (wanted to stay under 20k.) He was able to find a truck that met his requirements in MD at King Buick. After the hubs tried numerous times to get info out of the employees, noone would talk to him unless he gave his contact info. He decided to give said info and waited a few days to hear back from someone. He tried calling numerous times, speaking to 3 different people before finally hearing back from a female there. He spoke to her for a few days before deciding to drive down to look at it in person. The truck he was looking at came up on their website as "Sold" , so he emailed the woman and waited through the weekend to get a call back saying the financing fell through and the truck was still available. We told the woman that our loan approval was not available yet and asked if it would be possible to bring down a personal check and leave a deposit if we like the truck, She said YES, which is why we decided to come down. It was nearly 1:30 before we got on the road after receiving a call from her around noon. We drove almost 3 hours before arriving at the dealership. The truck was not what we had expected. There were nicks, scratches and dings on the body, the tailgate had paint missing down to the raw metal and it was broken. The detailing was shotty and personally, some of the body damage should have been repaired before even going on the lot. Inside the truck, the dash had some cracks and the upholstery had stains but we were willing to overlook s-o-m-e of this stuff because the price was right. The woman met us outside and went over the vehicle and took my hubs license. I showed her the missing paint and voiced my concerns and she told me she'd speak to the manager about fixing it. The truck drove great and all in all, we were pleased. We went in to talk to the woman about purchasing the vehicle. I asked her if she had spoken to the manager about the problem, she looked nervous and said, "yes, he feels that because the vehicle is so competetively priced, that we won't be fixing it and it is as is", i told her i spoke to a friend of mine who works as a certified ford mechanic and it could run a few hundred to a thousand dollars, she just said about the price again. Still we went in and sat down with her. After multiple attempts back and forth, she told us that the manager is not willing to negotiate the price nor make the repairs. We finally made it clear we werent going to buy the vehicle unless one of the two were met, so they finally agreed to make the repairs. After discussing repairs and coming down from Pennsylvania again to have repairs made (at a later date), she told me there would be no rental car reimbursement making it clear we would have to bring two vehicles down for a day trip. After settling on some small things and taking our info for financing, she walked us over to the new lot department and told us to wait in the lounge, that she would let the "financial consultant" know we were out waiting. 30 minutes later, he comes out an introduces himself and takes us back to his office. Once we sat down, he showed us the papers for the loan information. We decided to see what they have to offer. The loan option was awful. He gave us the option of 4.99% on a 60 term loan. We told him there was no way we were interested in that offer and we would wait for our bank to come back with the loan approval. He then told us that they wouldn't hold the truck for us. That we should hurry back before the truck was sold. We told him we were told that they'd hold the truck for us if we put a down payment down. I became aggitated and became argumentative when he told us that they don't "hold" vehicles for people and asked why we came all the way down here if we weren't going to buy the truck. After getting loud and angry with him, He agreed to hold the truck but he said we would have to sign a contract, write a check out for the full loan amount of 16k dollars AND if we did not get approved for our loan, that we would have to use their loan for 4.99%. We were very angry after he said this. Needless to say the consultant had to bring the "manager" in because he couldnt handle a petite female standing up to him. The general manager comes in with the same speel. The general manager and the consultant then tried tag teaming us to buy the truck using the "well it'd only about $20 different a month". The fact is, it doesn't matter how much of a difference it is a month, over 60 months, it adds up. We told him we werent interested in their offer and we would wait for our loan to come with a determination, we also told them we would not be signing a contract to purchase until that time. After many attempts on their end to demand we take their loan, we got up and left. We did not feel we needed to tell them more than once that we wanted to go through our bank because we trusted them. We also did not feel we should have to repeat multiple times that we want to see what our bank will offer us. Would I recommend them? Absolutely not. Not a chance to even people I dislike. This dealership is filled with nothing but scammers and shysters. They lack serious customer service skills and should learn to bite their tongues at some point. Oh, and maybe look up the definition of NO. Stay far away, very far away. More
I feel I must put something in writing as far as my unpleasant experience with your dealer ship. I purchased the vehicle from King Auto approximately 2 1/2 weeks ago. I spoke with you on the phone unpleasant experience with your dealer ship. I purchased the vehicle from King Auto approximately 2 1/2 weeks ago. I spoke with you on the phone the day I came out. I came on that day because we had a pleasant conversation and you answered all of my questions. I had a comfort level after my conversation. My first experience was with Knox. I asked for Juan and Knox response was "oh he just gets people to come in but I will take care if you". Was not happy about that at first but I went with it. I applied and understood my options would be limited due to my credit. I did not come in knowing I was going to drive a car home. I did need a second vehicle but it was not extremely necessary I get something on that day. However, the car Knox showed me was nice. But according to Knox It was the only car on the entire lot the can sell me. One of the important features was the cars Bluetooth system. As I have explained to you, Travis and Jean. My daughter is a first time driver and that was a very important feature. Knox explained "Oh all you need to do is go to Best Buy and they will install a cord in the stereo and them I will have it." That turned out to be false. Under the impression I had the vehicle that had important features I brought the car home. The very next day I started to call for the Bluetooth info and found out this was something that can only be done by Chrysler. $385 for a kit and $400 for installation. Completely way out of the ball park figure that was implied to me by Knox. When I contacted Knox the next day about this he said "oh I can get someone to do it for you cheaper." This gave me the impression of some back ally hook up from a friend of his. Not happy about this. I also asked for the extra key he promised me. So he said he will call me back. I waited a couple of days he never called. Now I am in contact with Gene Shanklin. He had been a pleasant person to speak with. He genuinely tried to help. He called me back as promised. He put me in contact with Travis Freeman. I finally compromised with the extra key and the Bluetooth. Even though I still have to come out of pocket $325. Now I had took the car to the mechanic on 4-1-13 and have a print out of the things wrong. Rack and pinion has a small leak Front rotors need to be cut due to pulsation. <-- I have this in writing. I called Travis Freeman and he said they will not fix those items since it already passed MD inspection and I didn't purchased an extended warranty. Which I don't even recall me being offered an extended warranty. Not happy with the answer I received since I thought within 30 days I should be able to get what ever is wrong with the vehicle repaired by the dealer. I understand it is a used vehicle. However, these sort of things like the brakes squeaking should be repaired. I called Jean and explained the conversation to him he said he will look into it and call me back. This was on 4-3-2013 and he would try to call me on Thursday. He did explain he would be off Friday and I think Monday. I was patiently waiting. However, another problem occurs on Tuesday 4-9-13. My daughter leaves her job to find the tire completely flat. This was an over 2 hour solution to this problem and my daughter stranded at her job. Come to find out the tire is defective. The mechanic said it developed a bubble and needed to be completely changed. So now $136 later I had to purchase a new tire. As we spoke on the phone I understand that sometimes tires just like other things we may have purchased my have a defect. However, for me to now try to get a reimbursement from a company whom I did not personally purchase the tires from because of a defect is un realistic. I bought the car from King Auto as a whole. King Auto should asked for the reimbursement. I kept the defective tire and will be happy to give it back to you all. My entire experience with purchasing this car has been horrible. I feel as though you all had a car to get rid of and just passed it off to the person who's credit did not deserve more than this. Don't get me wrong I like the car. However, I would like some compensation for the poor experience. I have purchased vehicles before and never experience Nothing like this. I would like the items above repaired and reimbursement for the new tire. I compromised with the Bluetooth which still not completely satisfied but like I said I compromised. I don't think I am asking for much. But as a Customer I am dissatisfied with my experience. I would not recommended you all to anyone else. I tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and the time to rectify my concerns. But that has not happen. 20 plus emails later. Still trying to allow them to rectify the matters above. It has now been past 30 days. Now they say they can not help me. Since the thirty days are now up.. Even though I have the receipt dated within the thirty days of the list of problems with this car. Needless to say I would not go to the dealership for a vehicle. You'd be better off at car max..my friend bought a car there and she gave them great reviews. More
I purchased a vehicle from them on March 19,2012 and on December 31, 2012 the car with no damgae done to it and still in the same condition in which I purchased it because it was barely used/driven was not December 31, 2012 the car with no damgae done to it and still in the same condition in which I purchased it because it was barely used/driven was not even worth half of what I paid for it. I understand that cars depreciate but not to less than 1/2 of what was paid for it. I also found out that the vehicle had damage to it that was never disclosed to me previously. I now know that the salesperson, Knox Masiyakurima and Clinton Jordan, the used car manager, did not car about their customer or repeat business but, about their bottom line. I would never ever purchase a car from this dealership or send anyone to it More
