It was my first online vehicle sales experience, but the human experience at Kiefer was beyond my expectations. Zach went to bat for me about an add-on I did not want. Before I could get settled in my chair, he was back with a positive answer, and the issue was resolved. That was just too easy. The car buying experience is normally stressful and, in general, it sucks, but Zach and Sales Manager Ken were open and honest through the entire process. I was especially impressed by Ken, who wanted to make sure that I knew everything about the vehicle and its unique history. I also have to highlight Alan in finance. Normally, the finance office is where the real high-pressure selling starts. The finance office always reminds me of a 1930's police interrogation: bright lights, high stress, and it won’t stop until you buy the premium, wazoo, super de-duper protection package with the undercoating package. My experience was the absolute polar opposite. Alan was a zero-pressure guy. He did not pressure me to buy a single extra plan! I was stunned, but in a very good way. I can’t forget to mention General Manager Chris, who weighed in to ensure things were right and that I was a happy customer. From clicking on the Cars.com website and then Kiefer.com, to calling and speaking with Zach, to traveling to Eugene, the ride Zach gave me from the hotel, the reception I received at Kiefer, to picking up my truck, and even the offer to bang the gong, I could not be happier! Zach, Ken, Chris, and Alan were the nicest people I have ever encountered when buying a vehicle. They all deserve five+ stars! My experience was so great that I recommend Mazda award them the company’s highest customer service award. Five stars PLUS, PLUS, PLUS, PLUS, PLUS for the fantastic team at Kiefer Mazda! THEY. WERE. They did such a great job at Kiefer Mazda! Louka happened to be the first person I saw with a free desk so I told him that I needed a new-to-me vehicle. He was able to work with my situation. They listened to our concerns, took responsibility where needed, and worked with us to find a solution that felt fair. They helped us move into a different vehicle and made the whole process smooth and low stress, with zero pressure. It's not often you see a dealership handle a situation like this with so much care and integrity. Took a recent visit to Keifer Mazda. Looked at a car around 15,000k. When they came out with the paper work the total was around 16,300k. Of course it was all hidden cost and taxes along with the brake pulse they put on all their used vehicles. Just be honest with people and put that 600 extra into your sticker price and not screw with people when you get them inside. Once we got them to take off the 600 for the brake pulse they wouldn't even negotiate off the sticker price. More
