Purchased a car in March. Brought it home and got check engine lights for a bad o2 sensor or catalytic converter after driving it for 100 miles from purchase. Sent pictures of Brought it home and got check engine lights for a bad o2 sensor or catalytic converter after driving it for 100 miles from purchase. Sent pictures of the engine code with mileage behind it. I was told to bring it in. Took the day off to bring it in and was told they couldn’t fit me in now until the afternoon. Brought it in that afternoon for them to tell me it was a bad o2 sensor. Was told they had to order the part and would call me the following week when a rental was available. No call was made to me that week. After I called and emailed I got a response and a day to bring it back in. Drove it the hour down and left it for the day. Car wasn’t touched until the afternoon and the service manager Steve called me when they were closing to let me know it was done but still had the check engine light. He let me know that Noah had told me at time of purchase that I would need to have it tuned because they had put a new catalytic converter on. That conversation never took place. They fought with me trying to get me to cover the price to have the car tuned. I got them to agree to have the car tuned since it started out right out the gate with check engine lights and the car had a 60 day warranty. I picked the car up and it had 4 additional lights on the dash and 11 new codes. I brought it to the attention of Steve as he was walking out and his response was “ I told you on the phone it still had a light.” He did not tell me his techs hooked me up with multiple more lights and 11 new codes. I brought it to a shop to get tuned that they approved of. The tuner could not tune the car because they put the wrong catalytic converter on, it had half of the flex fuel system, that was not emissions compliant, disconnected with wires hanging in the engine bay. The tires had belt showing and had one tire with belt shift and was no longer round. The uppipe was not emissions compliant. Noah argued that they would not pay for a new catalytic converter because they already did even though the catalytic converter was the wrong one or broken causing codes. Noah ended up giving me 1905$ towards the cost of repairs after stating over a dozen times the check would be for 2000$. The repairs cost me 6800$ to have the car I purchased with a dealer warranty 2 weeks prior fixed. They (Alex) sold me an extended warranty on a full bolt on modified car knowing the warranty company would deny every claim I put in. Alex specifically stated the car would be covered with the parts it had on it at the time of purchase which was a lie. Alex told me I could cancel it and get refunded at any time. It took me weeks to get them to cancel it and the money was returned to the lender and not me as it was told to me. While it is nice that the 3,044$ for the useless warranty, I am still out of pocket thousands of dollars for new tires, catalytic converter, new o2 sensor, and multiple other odds and ends to get the car correct. I was told after the check for 1905 that I was on my own and they would not be honoring the dealer warranty. I am now forced to take legal action. They sold me a non emissions compliant vehicle, won’t honor the dealer warranty, checked off on the vehicle inspection report that the tires, brakes, and exhaust system was good to go which was all lies. They lied to me multiple times telling me they had a Subaru tech on staff and that the car was tuned by them after they had the “new catalytic converter” put on but have no equipment to tune it. Steve told me straight out they have a few “car guys that love these cars” but no Subaru tech and no possible way to tune it. Noah stated the opposite. I was told it was not purchased at auction and then after all of the problems arose and I signed for tens of thousands of debt that it was in fact an auction car. Very dishonest. Not one person at that dealership was honest with me. I have pictures, documentation, and witnesses to support my claims. More
Do not buy a car from this dealership! I would give zero stars if I could. I was sold a used car with an undisclosed engine issue. I took it to another dealership’s service center and was I would give zero stars if I could. I was sold a used car with an undisclosed engine issue. I took it to another dealership’s service center and was quoted that it was going to cost over $6,000 to repair on a $15,000 used car. I have owned the vehicle for less than 30 days. The dealership said that there is nothing that they will do unless I pay them to repair it and that it is my problem. I would avoid this dealership at all costs. They are unethical and are not willing to own up to their mistake and instead try to take advantage of the customer. Take your business elsewhere if you want an honest dealership. I will update this review when there is a resolution to the issue, but in the meantime I recommend you look elsewhere for your vehicle purchase. More
We came in on Monday to see a Kia Soul Base model for a little under 7K. We called before we came over to see if it was still available. The salesperson not only said that it was available, she even got little under 7K. We called before we came over to see if it was still available. The salesperson not only said that it was available, she even got off the phone to double check. We arrived over there about 30 minutes later and she took all of our info and then went to get the keys. When she came back, she had a colleague with her that explained that he had sold the car the night before and was really sorry that he did not put that in the system. They apologized, and then explained that they had a Forte that had come in the night before which was a few thousand dollars more, and wasn't even entered in the system yet. It was more than we wanted to pay, but we agreed to look at it just to see what it was. So, I should have been a little more aware that if the Soul had been sold the night before, it would still be on the lot because it would have to be registered before the customer could drive it off of the lot. something was not right. The biggest red flag though is when I looked at your website this morning, the Soul is still listed there 4 days later. Clearly the website has been updated since then, as the Forte is on there. This is clearly a case of "bait and switch" and is a dishonest tactic to get customers in (but you know that), so you can sell them something that is more expensive than they wanted. There is NOTHING you can do to get me or anyone I know, to buy a car from you. More
Go see Anthony Russo at Kia of Old Saybrook – he’s a terrific car professional who really knows his vehicles. He went out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied with the car and his service. terrific car professional who really knows his vehicles. He went out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied with the car and his service. I wanted a Kia Sportage XS Prestige because I was looking for a high-tech car, and I found just the perfect sales person in Anthony. He knew everything about the car, was able to give me some great hacks on how to do things even more easily. Zero pressure. 100% knowledge and enthusiasm. This entire dealership is great… Jason another sales rep was super helpful, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Jordan, the business manager stays on top of things and makes you feel right at home. Noah the first rep I encountered was knowledgeable and helpful. Josh in the finance office was a true professional as well! A lot of car dealerships claim that they are different… This one truly is - and you get that feeling as soon as you walk in the door. They are extremely welcoming, competitive with price, a huge selection in stock and a wonderful service department - they serviced another vehicle that leased before this one. It’s a family business and it feels like your family when you’re there – even the folks who aren’t related to the owners have that same great pride of ownership in there dealings with you. Highly recommended! Come here first! More

The atmosphere at this dealership is great, just all around nice people. When I went to pick up my new Kia Soul, Evan was waiting for me. explained everything in detail, and I was not rushed. Jordan was great in answering any additional questions I had. Hopefully I will not need a new car soon, but if I do, I will only consider Kia of Old Saybrook :-) More
