I GOT SCREWED by KIA! My experience with Kia up until 2.5 years ago was fairly good. I was taking my car in for regular maintenance and oil changes. I have records to prov My experience with Kia up until 2.5 years ago was fairly good. I was taking my car in for regular maintenance and oil changes. I have records to prove this. In the summer of 2022, I found out that KIA FAILED to put oil in my car at a routine oil change back in FEB of the same year. Suspiciously right after the powertrain warranty ended. (strike one). I had KIA inspect the vehicle and they REPLACED the entire engine with a new one, free of charge, much to my surprise. Fast forward 2.5 years later, and they are telling me my engine requires $4100 worth of work because of RUSTED BROKEN DOWN parts in my NEW engine that is no longer under the 1 year warranty (strike two). I called the service department and asked if it made sense that a brand new engine would have these problems after just 2 years..... DOES it logically make SENSE that we would be where we are today if you gave me a new engine like you said you did back in 2022? His answer, "I've seen it happen..." I can't help but wonder...Do you do this to people all the time??? (strike 3). I'm no car expert but you can see how they've treated me and come to your own conclusions. Now, my family has to scramble to purchase another vehicle. I struck out.... More
