This is an update on my initial review after purchasing my teenage daughter’s first vehicle from Kia of North Austin. There is no way this vehicle should have passed inspection when it came in to Kia!! We my teenage daughter’s first vehicle from Kia of North Austin. There is no way this vehicle should have passed inspection when it came in to Kia!! We test drove the vehicle and came to the conclusion that it needed new shocks and struts (normal wear in tear for the age and mileage), but we’re reassured that everything else was good to go. After purchasing and driving the vehicle from the dealership to our home (30mins away), and to and from the gas station, we realized there was something more going on than we thought. We took it to our local shop and I was told that the steering rack was actually broken and has to be replaced and one of the tyrods is broken away from the wheel and just banging around. The right passenger wheel was actually about to fall off!!! How in the world did this pass inspection, or better yet, how could this dealership knowingly sell this hazardous vehicle to a single mother and her teenage daughter?! I’m disgusted! So now I’m out of pocket another $3,000 and hoping this is the only issue that pops up with our car. SHAME ON YOU KIA OF NORTH AUSTIN!! More
