Avoid the service Dept and service manager, Felix, like it is a contagious disease. There is nothing worse than technicians who don't know basic mechanics of a car or service managers who say they really d it is a contagious disease. There is nothing worse than technicians who don't know basic mechanics of a car or service managers who say they really don't care about their job because they can get one anywhere. This is just a few of the experiences I have witnessed at Kia of Lincolnwood. I'm really disappointed with the lack of standards in the dealership in general from a super messy dirty service shop, lack of customer friendly service writers, technicians who don't know how to follow service manuals, to the tripping hazards of the lack of a thresh hold at the floor transition from customer waiting area to the sales floor. From what I have read is that their sales department isn't much better either. Too many details, mess ups, lies and run arounds to explain here because it would be like a novel. Did I mention the loaner they lent me smelled like an ashtray and it took me almost a month to finally get the smell out of it? More
Insanely bad customer experience. They can put you the full process online including soft finance application and home delivery appointment. Only to bug you every day to come finish at the dealership (likely for random upsells the online process makes much easier to turn down). Special mention to Frank who I dearly hope doesn't need to sell cars to make a living More
I would be wary. They have some horrible practices: They will force LoJack and Xzilon on you, even when you don't want it. Xzilon- It's supposed to be a "cosmetic" insurance for interior & exteriors. If you read the exclusion list, they don't allow almost everything. The sales person will lie to say it's covered (read the terms, it's 100% not) LoJack - If your new car is stolen, why would you want it recovered? The criminal will most likely trash it, it will be used for illegal activity, and then it will be tossed to the side of the road. Your car will be impounded and then be given back to you in horrible shape. Might I add Kia's connect would be the GPS located for this thing. They will also scare you into paying above MSRP. We all know car sales are declining. This isn't COVID times anymore. You're paying a premium price for scams. More
The team was amazing. I inquired online and was contacted by Crystal who got me to Frank. I had been working with multiple dealerships and on different cars, talking with I inquired online and was contacted by Crystal who got me to Frank. I had been working with multiple dealerships and on different cars, talking with so many people. Frank was the first person who I truly felt was willing to A. Work with me B. Sincere and honest about pricing C. Just an overall good person. Once I got there, I was met Kiki! OMG Kiki is by far the best sales person I've ever worked with. She identified the pain points my wife and I were having with our previous vehicle. She showed how the Carnival would literally fix everyone. She reassured me through the whole process that I was making the right decision. The whole team worked so well. I honestly felt like I was back in my hometown of Cincinnati OH, buying a car not from a sales person, but rather a friend/family. The sales team, GM and all create such a relaxing, non-pressure environment. Never once did I feel like they were trying to screw me or push something on me. From start to finish the team was honest up front and genuine. I would 100% recommend people to Kia of Lincolnwood. Seriously Ask for KIKI! More
They are polite and professional but there is a lot of lying about their inspections, if you are planing on buying here make sure you check everything that matters. lying about their inspections, if you are planing on buying here make sure you check everything that matters. More
Worst service ever, Felix the manager worst person ever, very rude and unprofessional. Mechanics don’t know how to do their job. DO NOT Recommend this place on the contrary I hope everyone will stay away fr very rude and unprofessional. Mechanics don’t know how to do their job. DO NOT Recommend this place on the contrary I hope everyone will stay away from that place and hope no one will ever set foot at that store. I took my 2017 Kia Optima with a Check Engine light and shaking problems when I tried to drive the car. Took car for repair was charged $1,200 to get it fix with the promised that I wasn’t going to have the same problem again they said I had a 12-month warranty on the work. 2-weeks later the check Engine light came back again, took it back and they said I had to pay $1,200 again to get it fixed. I was upset because I had already paid $1,200 to get it fix on top of that they said their work had warranty. So I asked to speak to the manager, he was very rude from the start, you could see that he wasn’t happy to be confronted because his team’s work had failed I explained him that I wasn’t willing to pay another $1,200 for the work that was supposed to be done l2-weeks earlier. He said if I wanted to get my car fixed I had to pay again for a different treatment that they needed to do, to get rid of the Check Engine light and the shaking of the car. I asked him why do I have to pay 2 times for them to do the job that was supposed to be done when I first took the car? He said because it was a different part that they didn’t, change because their system didn’t show before, since at that point I didn’t trust their diagnosis I requested a refund for the work that they didn’t do. He said he couldn’t do that and if I didn’t want to get my car fixed at their place I had to pay a service fee $300 for the diagnostic that they did that second time, otherwise I wasn’t going to be able to get my car back. I was outraged when I heard that and told him that wasn’t right,. He tried to calm me down by saying that If I was willing to have my car fix there he was going to give me a discount ($100) and promised that he was going to make sure that the work would be done properly so that I wouldn’t have the same issues again. Since I needed my car fix and they had already messed up once I thought the second time for sure they will fix it so I accepted. But 3-weeks later the car started doing the same thing and Check Engine light is back again. I called the same manager that promised to make sure that my car was fixed properly and when I stated the reason for my call, he hanged up on me. How unprofessional of him, instead of facing the problem like a man of his word should. He hanged up on me and when I called him back he didn’t answer. I used to hear a lot of people say that mechanics and dealers take advantage of women, but I never believed it but now I do. More
