Very happy my issue was taken care of. I was very worried at first, communication with me could have been better and a ETA on when my car was going to be ready would have been helpful. I will NEVER buy another KIA vehicle! My 2012 Kia Optima with 65k total miles on it was a total xxx from the day I bought it brand new. I wanted to drive it til the wheels fell off. I did ALL my routine with 65k total miles on it was a total xxx from the day I bought it brand new. I wanted to drive it til the wheels fell off. I did ALL my routine maintenance at the KIA of Lansing (Michigan) dealership. Oil changes, tire rotations, alignments etc. Plus brakes, tires (a ridiculous number of tires), headlamp replacement, A/C repair etc. I did All of the recalls. Got a new engine after your 3 required Oil Consumption tests. Pain in my arse. My car only had 65k TOTAL MILES ON IT, and MAYBE 12k miles on the factory replaced engine in April 2021! ...then the car started dying in the middle of the road upon pulling out into traffic! Exceptionally Dangerous! Had it towed. Kia of Lansing diagnosed it as a "throttle body pressure sensor" and stated it was Not part of the engine warranty. 10 days and over $500 out my pocket- it happened AGAIN 6 wks later! They said it was the SAME issue- throttle body pressure sensor...but they would repair at no cost...but couldn't get it in for 2 weeks! Completely Unacceptable. Upon repair Again and picking up my car from the dealership- my rearview mirror literally fell of my windshield overnight and was hanging by wires when I got in my car to go to work the next day! Kia of Lansing service dept couldn't repair in a timely matter- nor provide a loaner or rental! They seriously couldn't get my car in to service it for 2 WEEKS!!! Had to have it Towed to them more times than I can count. Keith Sleght Service Mgr could/would only tell me "They will get to it when they can." I nor ANY customer should be expected to be without a vehicle for more than 2 days. ...Then the a/c they repaired ONE yr prior quit...and my car refused to accelerate and died in the road a THIRD TIME within a matter of weeks- same throttle body pressure sensor. Same wait time when I called the dealership. xx! 65k TOTAL MILES ON THIS VEHICLE! KIA owners should not have to wait weeks to get their car repaired. The repairs provided should be sound. If they cannot get to it in 1 day- an alternate vehicle should be provided free of charge. That's basic customer service. I will NEVER buy another KIA, and I will recommend to anyone to Not buy a KIA and NOT use Kia of Lansing service. I HAD to use them to maintain my engine warranty but they are shady and incompetent. I bought a new (non Kia/non Hyundai) vehicle in May 2021. Julie Raynor More
I brought my vehicle in to have warranty work done to replace a broken sensor. It took 2 hours and they said it was fixed. I got in my car and the warning light is on again saying the sensor was bad! I took it back to tell them and the technician angrily challenged me and told me it worked when he drove it. They rescheduled me to replace the same part again but I do not have confidence it will work the second time. More
