The stereotypical used car salesman I found a car from this dealer and the price listed online was the best I could find around ($26,695), so I put a deposit down on the car on a Friday I found a car from this dealer and the price listed online was the best I could find around ($26,695), so I put a deposit down on the car on a Friday and set up an appointment with one of the representatives on Sunday at 3pm to actually see the vehicle. I get there at 2:45 and was informed the sales rep who said he would be there for my appointment didn’t even work on Sunday’s, so already not off to a great start. I decided to go on a test drive anyways and the employee was very nice but was also very new and was unable to answer any of my questions. We get back to the dealer to start talking about pricing and after waiting about 20 minutes, a sales manager comes up with a piece of paper stating they would sell me the car for over $29k after they had already deducted the pitiful $1800 trade in offer for my vehicle that you can find listed all over for $6-8k with even more miles. I told them I was going to be paying for the vehicle in cash and that the offer they gave me was not what I was willing to spend. They then came back with $2200 for my trade in but at this point I walked out. The next day, I call and speak with a different sales manager about the price and I told him my out the door price after the trade in would be the price listed online. About 30 minutes later he calls me back and says the best he can do is $27,074.45 but I would need to come in that day otherwise it was no deal. I couldn’t make it that day and informed the sales manager of such and requested for my deposit back, to which he replied, “Well don’t you want to come down and get it?” I just wanted them to refund the deposit back on the credit card in which I had used initially and eventually this SM said he would have the original sales rep (let’s call him “J” but he was the one who failed to inform me of his day off on Sunday when I initially made the appointment) refund my card. I then texted that individual asking for the refund and was then informed he wasn’t even in the office but asked me to EMAIL HIM MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION so he could process the refund the next morning. About 2 minutes later, I get a text from the SM saying, “J would process my refund ASAP” even though I was just told BY J PERSONALLY that he wasn’t even there! I then call the dealership hoping to speak with a manager... no one answers and the phone just hangs up. I call back again to speak to someone in a different department than sales and ask to speak with a manager... all the managers were gone but I could try again in 30 minutes. Eventually, J calls me and I tell him I want my refund immediately and inform him of how dissatisfied I was with the entire experience and overall lack of customer service. J apologized and tried his best to smooth things over but then asked, “How much was the deposit again?”... Two days later, I get a text from J asking if I was still interested, to which I replied, “After all of the disservice and overall lack of respect I received from individuals at your business when I was willing to write a check and walkout with a car, unless you can make an offer that I simply cannot refuse, I do not wish to do business with your company now or in the future. I have an OUT THE DOOR number in mind where you take my trade in vehicle and a check and I leave with the CPO stinger, however, I’d like to see what you guys can put together to see whether or not I’d like to give you my business and refer others to you in the future.” He then asks me for my number and it was $25k out the door, they take my vehicle, I write them check, and I leave with the vehicle. We then negotiated to $25.5k and he responded via text that we had a deal. I come in on a Friday to purchase the vehicle and had set up another appointment at 12:30 with J... J was 15 minutes late and first walked up saying that we needed to talk about the price. Ummm we had already established the price yesterday? He said he didn’t remember the price and so I had to show him OUR TEXT MESSAGES FROM LESS THAN 24 HOURS PRIOR. He then says he will need to discuss with his manager (Let’s call him “M” and it was the same sales manager from earlier) even though I thought everything would have already been taken care of since we had made the deal the day before. After 1.5 hours, M comes up and says they couldn’t do $25.5k and that his best price was $26.4k (even though he said earlier that week $27,074 was his best price). As much as I did not want to give them my business due to their lack of customer service, punctuality, commitment, and overall integrity, I realized this was still the best deal I could find in the area for this particular vehicle and we ultimately agreed on $26k. Overall, I am happy with the car but, if possible per, I plan on having all future services conducted elsewhere as I hope to never have to see ANYONE from Kia of Irvine again. When you think of your typical “used car salesman”, Kia of Irvine sales associates are the embodiment and definition of this stereotype. More

I went out and asked my salesman to show it to me on the car and before he got to the car he called the sales manager and told him to back off with the false stories. Then they finance manager took off the cost as there was no security system on a base model car in the first place he was just trying to sell me one. He was also a pitbull trying to sell me an extended warranty after I had said numerous times I was not interested. He just kept offering it in different ways. Had to threaten to walk out to get him to stop, not pleasant. Obviously management sanctions these kinds of tactics. Shameful as he is representing state license and registration. More

He definitely hustled and took care of us. The Finance guy wasn't so great. He was super-aggressive in trying to sell us a warranty and maintenance plan we told him many times we didn't want. He practically threw the paperwork at me when I firmly told him NO. The dealership was bright and courteous. Rabi was a huge help in setting up our Internet Sale. More

Drove us over to the other lot twice just so that we could be sure of the color, and didn't see a single unhappiness in his face. Mas also knows a lot about the car and willingly shared a lot of the information about the vehicle. Definitely will recommend Max to my friends and families. More
