Our experience here was not the best, to say the least. We were in the market to purchase the Sangria 2019 Kia Sorento However, we were very disappointed with our experience. It began with Marcus when we arrived he was very aggressive immediately upon entering the facility. As we are discussing the details of the vehicle Marcus gives us a different quote for the SUV other than what is on the Carmax website baiting people to come into the dealership. This was the first red flag for us because we drove over in an hour to visit this Kia dealership. The cost alone was $19,995 that's if it's financed however if you buy the vehicle with cash out the door the price jumps to $26,000+. We did not understand why was there a significant price increase. Marcus tells us it's fees and taxes, however, failed to disclose the breakdown of costs. Little did we know we were told the warranty had to be included in the pricing. We were very hesitant to move forward but gave the dealership another chance the following day. We came back to speak with the sales manager Rob, expressed our concerns, and received what we believed were the final numbers of the SUV from Troy in the finance department. We were told to get a certified check and to switch our insurance over to the new vehicle which was taken care of in advance. What was interesting was Marcus called my husband and asked if we were returning on Saturday and my husband advised him we were coming on Thursday. Keep in mind Troy was already aware that we were coming because my husband called to reconfirm the final price and told my husband that the SUV would be ready once he arrived, they knew that the dealership did not have the title to the vehicle, EVERYONE knew! Here is where the plot twist comes in, they told my husband the person did not comply when it came to giving the title. Like how can you sell this vehicle without the title and why is it on the website? They did not have the common courtesy or respect as business professionals to advise us what was going on. My husband left from work in Manhattan, traveled to Downtown Brooklyn to pick up the check and caught LIRR to Huntington. We asked in advance could we arrange to have someone pick us up from the dealership and were told no one was available. My husband caught an Uber over (a 20-minute ride from the train station) all to be told this news. You talk about mad... Not to mention Troy failed to add the registration fees for us and Marcus tried to get additional money by stating the final price we were quoted wasn't what we agreed upon. Never experienced anything like this ever! I will say the General Manager attempted to make up for this by waiving the Dmv fees and offering an extended warranty on tires for 3 years, but it wasn't enough didn't make up for the time and money lost. I will say what is amazing is how God works, my husband left there and I got on the phone with Don at Autoworld Kia (remember this name) explained to him everything we just went through, and Don was able to accommodate us, offered water and coffee immediately upon entry and the overall customer service was impeccable compared to what we received at Kia Huntington. Interestingly enough Marcus and Troy had a few negative reviews on Google we noticed this after everything occurred so please stay clear of this facility. It is rare that I find myself feeling that an overwhelmingly negative review is necessary and proper. I have bought TWO vehicles through Kia of Huntington, and experienced some of the worst service and assistance that is possible in any industry. Car Dealerships tend to require a certain degree of prudency when searching for the right one, and I know now that I should have done my homework with a bit more care. My first experience in 2019 was rather poor, but I gave the dealership the benefit of the doubt and chose to be lax with my opinions and demands after the sale was completed. A week ago, my feelings towards this dealership and Kia Motors were completely and entirely soured. Our salesman, Marcus, was an incompetent, impersonal, and disorganized individual with no care or concern for our needs and no interest in making the sales process efficient. He deeply undervalued our vehicle trade, failed to prepare our car for pickup, and didn't even have the courtesy to greet us or update us while at the dealership for the official sale of our new Kia Niro. With regard to civility, I spoke to one of the sales managers, Joe, and told him that I'd like to arrange a phone call at his convenience to discuss my experience. A week later, six hours at the dealership, four unreturned phone calls, and a silent abyss of telephone holds from the receptionist have resulted in absolutely nothing. I will never recommend this business to friends or family, will actively encourage others to visit other Kia locations first, and remain disgusted that I have to send my hard earned dollars to a lowballing, low quality establishment. To ice the cake, few to no employees followed mask mandates and paid attention to the public health regulations that exist under the current COVID-19 guidelines. Horrible customer service. Took well over 4 hours to lease a car, despite knowing make, model and color I wanted. In addition, covid protocols were not enforced or followed. Most of the sales staff had either no mask or wore in below their mouths. Will NEVER go back. Would rather take the ride to smithtown.
