I made a call to Tia regarding our title which did not make it to our credit union.Tia said she would look into the matter and call me back. Within 1 hr she not only found the problem but called motor ve make it to our credit union.Tia said she would look into the matter and call me back. Within 1 hr she not only found the problem but called motor vehicle and the credit union to handle the problem. It is not often you find an employee who goes over and above what is required. Recently purchased a new 2012 Optima from Gengras Kia. This was absolutely the best customer service experience I have ever had while purchasing a new vehicle. The salesperson (Juan) and the sales manager (Dave)were professional, accommodating and reasonable. After identifying the actual car I wanted to purchase and sharing other prices quoted me by other CT and Mass area dealers, we agreed on a price. They were very price competitive and there were no games or gimmicks that I experienced at other dealers I visited while purchasing my new Optima. Gengras Kia is an outstanding dealership that I would highly recommend for purchasing your next vehicle. More
Bought a new 2012 Kia Sportage, which they got from another dealership, got hit with their conveyance fee, which no one could realy explain but was told it was non negotiable. Had to sit with thier fin another dealership, got hit with their conveyance fee, which no one could realy explain but was told it was non negotiable. Had to sit with thier finance person who tried to sell us every extended warranty they have. Had my first oil change at their service dept, got home and had oil leaking from under the front (noticed spots in the driveway), went back and had them check, showed me the oil as was all over underneath of the vehicle, also notice the resonator was severly dented? claim when they preped the vehicle it was no dent,also was not noted when they did the oil change basically blamming me! Was taken over to their empty Fiat dealership next door to discuss with Tony Oliver and Jason thier service manager, quess they didn't want me around potential KIA customers.Told me they would check to see if they could do anything about the resonator. Now back to the oil leak,which they cleaned and put dye in to try to find a leak, they drove the car, back on the lift no leak!only explaination they could give me was they spilt oil or it splashed onto the frame when they drained it!! Come on really!Guess what got a call saying there is nothing they can do on the resonator, big surprise!Another disappointing experience buying a new car. More
This was the easiest car purchase I have ever had. The sales staff placed 0 pressure, listened to what I needed and met that need. Service staff is crazy good. I was very impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the sales associates, the comfort of the atmosphere, the low pressure environment, and the time devoted to me....no rushing. All of my concerns and questions were addressed and my needs were very well met. Sylvester Evans listened to me and took the time necessary to take care of me. Tony Oliver took the time to address the particulars about the safety components of the Optima. I had been researching Kia's a bit...particularly the Kia Optima, but originally went into Gengras Kia in East Hartford, CT to possibly test drive the vehicle, gain more knowledge about the car, and run some #'s. In the end, 3 hours later I was signing papers!!! I needed to stop back the following day to make some final decisions and that was no problem. I felt respected and the entire experience was a pleasure!!! I never thought I'd be saying that car buying would be fun. It's always great and reassuring to get a new, safe, reliable, comfortable, and enjoyable vehicle, but I would never have thought, or have found the experience to actually be a bit fun until my time spent at Gengras Kia. I love my new Kia Optima and I give a great deal of credit to Sylvester Evans for his professionalism and character!!! More
I had just started to look around for a new car even though my old Jeep still ran well. By the time I left that same day, I was convinced that my new Kia Rio SX was for me. I was torn between the hatchback and the sedan so my salesman, Neal Phealon, helped me out making the decision (my lifestyle, I have to comfortable in the car, etc.). He had me drive both cars to see which one I liked the best. He has a very laid-back, not pushy, way about him and I felt he was honest and sensible. I would buy a car there again, and hopefully Neal will still be there for many years to come. I did buy a jeep there 11 years ago as well. They were all accommodating. Neal's the best! I started at a different dealership but was feeling like I was being taken advantage of, so I stopped in at Gengras to check pricing and possibly find a better personality fit. And boy did I ever. I initially worked with Andy, who has since moved back to another Gengras dealership, but they seemlessly transitioned me to Fitz and Tony who stuck with me through to the end (including 3 overnight test drives)and multiple vehicle choice changes. Fitz is not only hysterical, but friendly, honest and down-to-earth. I had to wait for my specific car to become available, and he called me frequently during that time, just to check in and give me a status update. I really believe I got my car for a steal but he still spent tons of extra time with me going over the whole car and made me feel like I was a truly valuable customer. In fact, I stopped in a few days after picking up my car because I found a spare key for my trade. Tony was there and we talked for a few minutes, he even came out and talked about the car with me a little more. They just seem to really care about their customers. This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Sue, she is awesome...squared. Sue works the financial end of the deals and the service packages. I am always wary of "extras" like service packages but after nagging her with tons of questions I did finally decide to add them. She was very patient with me and a blast to talk to. Travis did it once again. I needed to bring my car into service and the only number i had available at the time was Travis's. I called him and told him that I needed to bring my car in for a service. I know it is not his job to deal with service; but he helped me out anyway. He went to service himself got everything all set up for called me up and told me everything was all set. I didnt need to do anything he is very helpful. This guy really knows how to work with people. More
