I hate car shopping - I feel like a minnow in a shark tank. Joey Pellegrino was a most pleasant surprise. He stayed late so as to accomodate my schedule. Working with Joey was great. I brought my daughter with me to select a car with great safety ratings. I got the great safety ratings with SOOO much more. Joey greeted me promptly on the sales floor. As soon as I sat in the seat and felt the power of the car and reviewed the gas mileage I would get. I knew Joey had hit a home run. I recommend Joseph. I just had a refreshing experience! Gengras Kia rocks! Having done mostly online research, i have learned that I was "flipped" about $4000 in my 2009 Impreza. Even members of my chat forums agreed that I may have troubles trading. I cannot afford a new car, and I put a ton load of miles on a year, so I thought I just couldnt find what I needed. I went to Carmax, and 2 other dealers that I will not mention by name, (I like to be fair), and they all told me I needed money down, then quickly seemed like they were being bothered that I didnt have any. I first spoke with Lindsay through an online chat, she assured me that Gengras would listen to everything I needed, and then give me a couple of choices and the decision would be left up to me. It turned out i did need $600 for my financing to go through, but after dealing with the guys, they did not pressure me just told me what i needed to do. I got a Camry, same model that carmax had, probably the same kind of deal, but Sylvester just told me it was all up to me if i wanted to make this trade. I guess i really didnt want to give up my fun car for a family car, but i realized now it was the right choice- BUT MY CHOICE! Thanks guys! Necer thought I would have fun buying a car! sylvester cracked me up, and I will recommend everyone I know to see these guys when they are shopping for a new car! More
My fiancé n drove 1 hr to look at this car we loved from this place we decided to buy it sat down filled paper work out n the finance person came over told us we could not pick car up till Monday becau from this place we decided to buy it sat down filled paper work out n the finance person came over told us we could not pick car up till Monday because they has to get in touch with DMV keep in mind we had the check ready to sign away n leave with the vehicle that day so they told us they would hold the vehicle till Monday for pickup we call Monday to let them kno what time we will be there n they said the vehicle was sold n was rude about it. We will never ever give them our money they are very rude here and uncaring . Never again will we set foot in this place! poor customer service!! More
I NEVER take the time to write reviews, but Michael and Dave made a good enough impression on me that I decided to make an exception. I found the car I wanted on the Gengras website late Saturday night. Dave made a good enough impression on me that I decided to make an exception. I found the car I wanted on the Gengras website late Saturday night. I called the dealership as soon as they opened on Sunday morning and Dave was very friendly and helpful making sure that they had the actual vehicle available and explaining the buying process to me (I haven't bought a car from a dealer in 26 years). When I arrived at the dealership Michael greeted me in the parking lot and helped me make sure I was getting the car that I really wanted. We drove several and went over all the different options and packages available. The entire process was fun and easy and I drove home in my new Kia in just a couple hours. I would definitely do business with them again. My only negative is that a couple days after the sale I called the parts department looking for an accessory and was given some misinformation. I did some further research and got the correct information elsewhere. I passed the correct info on to the dealer so that hopefully the next guy will get the right answers the first time. More

Absolutely fantastic dealership! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and kind. It was a pleasure to do business with Gengras Kia. Before even entering through the front doors, Fitzroy Galli knowledgeable, helpful and kind. It was a pleasure to do business with Gengras Kia. Before even entering through the front doors, Fitzroy Gallimore greeted us and immediately began showing us all cars that fit our criteria. He was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained each vehicle as well as each trim and package to which we could upgrade. It was quickly decided that a Kia was the car for us! When going through the purchase process, my husband and I were presented with all the facts and given a very generous price for the new vehicle and trade-in value for my current car. Although they did not have the exact vehicle I wanted on their lot, they assured me within days I would receive a call informing me my car was available. Low and behold, 3 days later my phone rang and my dream car was detailed and ready to drive home! Only the paperwork was left to complete. Gengras Kia accommodated our busy lives and scheduled a very late appointment to pick up my new Optima. Matt, the business manager, quickly took my husband and I through the paperwork. Afterwards, Fitz took 20 minutes of his time to thoroughly go over the new vehicle and teach us all the tech savvy features. He was incredibly knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we would enjoy all that the Optima offers. Not only do I highly suggest purchasing a Kia, but I strongly suggest purchasing from Gengras Kia of East Hartford. The staff was a joy to work with and made the process of purchasing my dream vehicle fast and painless. More

I was a first time car buyer, and the guys at Gengras (especially Rich) really took care of me. I got a great deal on my Soul. All I had to do was show them the Edmunds True Market Value, and they agreed to the price. Rich was especially great. He walked me through every step of the process, and never once took advantage of me as the apparent novice that I am. Rich even took the time to show me the service center and explain everything about getting service at the dealership, even though it was after 6 and the service center was closed to regular customers. There's not a doubt in my mind that I will go back for another car once my fiance and I have the money. Auto salesmen often get a bad rep. I definitely went into the dealership expecting the worst. But what I got was a perfect customer service experience, and I do not use the word "perfect" lightly. More
