Beware of false advertising and poor communication. I called to get pricing on a new Kia Forte FE at the end of September to see if there were any end-of-month/quarter sales. I spoke to the phone saleswo called to get pricing on a new Kia Forte FE at the end of September to see if there were any end-of-month/quarter sales. I spoke to the phone saleswoman three separate times on the phone. She was very friendly and helpful and gave me a fair price point to start. I inquired if she could speak to her manager about any further price cuts if I were to walk into the dealership that day with a cashiers check to take the car. On a different call, she told me they could possibly do a couple hundred more but I had to come to the dealership, which was fine by me. The final price (out the door) given was 17,066 before the extra couple hundred. When I went to the dealership, they failed to tell me that they sold out of Kia Forte FEs (suspicious as I called an hour before arriving). The car they had me test drive was a totally different model which I found out after the ride. Then the salesman came back with the lowest price at ~18,600, almost 2K more than discussed. Not only did they waste 2 hours of my time, but I planned to drive to the dealership with the best offer that night and take a car. I missed out on the other dealership end-of-month sales thanks to them. Needless to say, I left the dealership not a happy camper. The woman I spoke to over the phone called me after leaving. She did halfway apologize for the confusion, but also used it as an opportunity to defend herself and make me feel like I had taken information down incorrectly, and that the figure I came in to discuss was never given to me. I have multiple notes from the three separate phone conversations with pricing we went over. I'm 100% certain if they went back over their recorded phone conversations, they would find they straight up gave me false information. Whether it was intentional or just poor communication, unsure, but either way, I won't be dealing with their incompetences ever again, and advise you do not either. More
