Confirmation appointment only listed time of appointment- address for maintenance not provided (had to find it on google maps). When I entered the maintenance dep't, there is not a clearly designated place address for maintenance not provided (had to find it on google maps). When I entered the maintenance dep't, there is not a clearly designated place to check in; one of the maintenance techs approached me to inquire if I had an appointment and let me know someone would be with me shortly. A gentleman did help me after a couple of minutes. His interaction was courteous, but he was not informative. He informed me there were 2 recalls for my vehicle, but did not elaborate on what the recalls were. He asked if I wanted to do both and I replied that it depended on how long that would take. He informed me it would be about 2 hours. I responded that was fine, but still no specific information about the recalls was ever provided. The service invoice states "C 01K1ZMISC1 MANDATORY OPERATION I have been advised and I have removed everything of value from my vehicle. I understand that Kia Downtown LA will assume no responsibility for the loss of damage of articles left" This was never verbalized to me. My vehicle was ready in about 2 hours, wherein I received a text message and email to inform me that it was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I noticed that vehicles that had completed maintenance are all double parked along the street. This is deeply concerning- how is Kia ensuring vehicles are safe and who will handle citations if the city of LA chooses to enforce parking laws? When I entered the service dep't I was quickly given my paperwork, but I had to ask where or to whom do I go to get my car? The gentleman quickly pointed at the front area (a small podium w/ an umbrella) and told me to go there. I went there and waited for a few minutes and eventually got tired of employees walking by and not acknowledging me, so I asked someone where should I go? He said "Go inside to the cashier and then come back here." This was a bit of a waste of time and should have been made more clear to me. I went inside and the cashier processed my paperwork. I went back to the person retrieving vehicles and showed him my paperwork; he then proceeded to fetch my car (which was double parked down the street). If I knew my vehicle would be left double parked on the street, liable to get damaged, broken into, or cited, I would have scheduled service at another location. I know staff are busy, but Kia service dep't leaves much to be desired. I would not want to revisit this service center, and this experience only strengthens my resolve to never purchase a Kia again.
