This review is in regards to service begun on October 24, 2021. I dropped off my 2016 Kia soul via tow truck for service. My vehicle was not accelerating properly and was randomly shutting off. For the next 2021. I dropped off my 2016 Kia soul via tow truck for service. My vehicle was not accelerating properly and was randomly shutting off. For the next two months I struggled with the customer service representatives as for updates on the status of my vehicle. Specifically I was kept on hold for an extended amount of time and my messages were not returned. My car was under manufactures warranty so most of the repairs were covered however I was billed $238 for what I was told was a faulty valve. I was finally able to pick up my vehicle today December 20, 2021 however I discovered that my vehicle had received damaged while in the service centers possession. To be specific the rear driver side fender had visible damage (photo included). I spoke to the service manager Frank Gonzalez however he refused to take responsibility and said that he would refer to the shop cameras "when he had time". I filed a claim with my insurance company of caution and they are looking into the matter as I write this. Additionally security was called on me after I complained about the damage. The security guard proceeded to tell me to get the F out of there and also insulted me using racist language. I let the manager (as did other customers) know about this but yet he seemed unbothered and nothing was done about it. I genuinely feared for my safety at this point and was just wanting to leave but my car was being further examined so I did not have access to it. In short my experience with Kia of downtown was terrible. I felt especially wronged being that I have been a loyal customer of the service shop since I purchased my vehicle from their affiliated dealer. I was made to feel like a dishonest person when Frank question me on whether I was telling the truth about the damage to my car. I have done 99% of the service, both oil changes and major intervals, at Kiaodtla but I will never ever patronizine nor purchase a Kia vehicle again. More

I took my car to the shop for a diagnostics for some sounds coming from my front tires suspension. When I left my car there they told me it was due to me having after market parts that I've had for over sounds coming from my front tires suspension. When I left my car there they told me it was due to me having after market parts that I've had for over 6 mos. They were charging me $200 to tell me something I already know but not what was wrong with the car? They were not able to give me the exact cause of the sound to get fixed other than return it to original parts. They refused to fix my car despite my warranty due to having after market parts. I wouldn't mind paying for a diagnostic fee but they were not able to pin point the cause of the sound and they kept avoiding my question and resorted to saying I needed to put it back to its original parts. Attempted to leave several voice messages but the mail boxes were full including the services managers, emails and texts. I had to leave my car there for a second day and still no return call made to me to explain the reason for the sound. More
Arturo was very attentive and thorough. Made me feel like my concerns and time were very important. He is by far the best service advisor I’ve dealt with in my 7 year relationship with Kia Downtown LA/ like my concerns and time were very important.
