We drove from the South Bay to Cerritos because we had such a good experience there when we bought a car in the fall. It has the best selection of models and color in the area. It does not have the same selection. Plus, the service is better at Kia Cerritos. Both salesmen we worked with there were excellent. More

This is our 3rd Kia. We enjoyed our 1st two Kia’s that we decided to stay loyal to the Kia brand. We didn’t have any issues with the first two leased Kia Optima’s. Becaus We enjoyed our 1st two Kia’s that we decided to stay loyal to the Kia brand. We didn’t have any issues with the first two leased Kia Optima’s. Because of the experience we decided to buy. All three Kias’ have only been serviced by Kia’s service department. When the opportunity presented itself to purchase another car, we were always adamant about purchasing our cars from Kia of Cerritos. We purchased the Kia Sorento in December of 2019. We identified a problem during the 45,000 mile service. We informed the service rep that the car was riding rough. During pickup, the service representative said that should fix it. On December 22nd the engine light came. The next morning we checked oil and the stick was completely dry. We took the car to dealership on December 26th and it stayed overnight. To remedy the situation according to the rep the injector and the oil was replace. We were instructed to bring it back in 1000 miles so they can check the oil and 3 quarts had been used. Currently, the car has been with service department since January 26, 2024. We have been working with Victor and if do call we do not get any updates or status. On January 31, 2024, After googling the issue and notifying the service rep (Victor) we finally were told an engine was ordered. If didn’t send him the information we would have never been told they ordered an engine. That same day I spoke with Sean I stated that the lack communication is the reason why we were googling what was going on. When you speak to either Victor or Shawn (service manager) their attitude is you have a rental car at no cost to you so what is the problem. My husband called on Friday 2/16 around 10:30am to find out a status and once again Victor states I gave you a rental car like that is the answer. He puts my husband on hold and comes back and says the car will be ready later on today. At 4:30pm I call Kia of Cerritos and spoke to Ross Hellman and informed him of my concerns, lack of professionalism from the service department and disappointment. He says to me that I will walk this over to the service department and make sure you get a call. Victor immediately calls my husband at 4:45pm and says the car is ready. We pick up the car this morning (Saturday, 2/17). My husband goes inside and Victor instructs him to go the cashier because he is busy. After completing his transaction with the cashier he goes back to speak with Victor and was no where to be found because he disappeared. My husband waited outside for the car and Victor never walked to car to explain what service what was done. Thanks to a local mechanic my husband was able to get an explanation of the service and what was done. Corporate was very apologetic for the dealership being so unprofessional. More
