I used to live in Los Angeles and recently moved to Florida. Three months, I leased my car from Los Angeles, and when I was talking with the salesman, he mentioned that the lease agreement was for thre Florida. Three months, I leased my car from Los Angeles, and when I was talking with the salesman, he mentioned that the lease agreement was for three years with 10,000 miles per year. He also told me I didn’t need to pay anything for car registration and plates. I checked everything several times on the phone with the salesman, and he confirmed every time. He even said all the paperwork for registration was done and ready. However, after the shipment, when I went to register the car and get the plates, I noticed the paperwork was not completed. Unfortunately, the salesman didn’t answer my calls the whole day. Finally, I had to contact the General Manager, who checked and told me that the paperwork was not done yet. The GM completed and sent me the paperwork overnight. Because my car didn’t have plates, I couldn’t get parking authorization at my apartment and had to park on the street, which resulted in a ticket due to the lack of plates. When I got the registration, I noticed I had to pay for it myself. When I called the salesman, he told me the dealer wouldn’t cover the registration, which was against his previous statement. Unfortunately, my car has had a transmission problem since the first day. When I went to a dealer in Miami, I was told my car needed to stay at the dealer for them to find and solve the problem with the transmission. I initially gave a 3-star review for my experience in the dealer survey, and the salesman immediately called me, insisting that I change it to five stars because his bonus and income would be affected. He told me that the financing office would send me a check for the registration fee that never happened. I kindly changed it to a five-star review. However, I recently realized that the salesman had sent me a contract for 7,500 miles per year, not 10,000 miles per year. On the signing day, around 8 PM, he rushed me to sign the contract, saying that if I didn’t sign that day, he would have to run my credit again. I didn’t check the annual mileage and only looked at the payment. Even though I had checked several times during phone conversations about the mileage, he sent me a contract with lower mileage. Now, I have to drive my car only three days a week or pay for excess mileage at the end of the lease agreement. I believe it’s my responsibility to share my experience to prevent the same thing from happening to others. More
