My Experience buying an auto at Key Ford I had reservations about buying an automobile over the internet. We really liked our old Lincoln MKX but wanted a more current year. I had looked locally & was unable to find the color (interior & exterior) that I wanted with low mileage in a used vehicle. I saw the 2016 Lincoln MKX listed on Car Gurus at Key Ford in York. This was too far for my husband to travel because of back issues. I decided to call them anyway to see if they had a reciprocal agreement with a local dealer. To my surprise, they said they could deliver it! We agreed on a price, traded our old MKX, & they delivered the vehicle to us. I downloaded the owner’s manual for the MKX in advance from the Lincoln website onto my iPad which was a real help since there is a lot of new technology. This all went very smoothly from the financial transaction, the delivery by a very congenial person, & now to enjoying the new vehicle which we are vey happy with. Car service review I have always gone to Starkey Ford for services and have always had good luck and recommended them. Kim and Frank typically help us and are great. Unfortunately I recently had an extremely inconvenient experience where my car was brought it for a “recall” service. It was returned back to me a few days later (on-time service), however, broke down two days later and we sent it back in. We suggested that it could be a specific problem but for weeks we were told they “didn’t know what was wrong”. Fast forward to TWO MONTHS later and come to find out it is the issue we were originally thinking, a technician left, and our paperwork had been “lost”. If we were given updates regarding that throughout, considering we reached out almost every week, I would have been more understanding. This has been the BIGGEST inconvenience of my life due to the fact I rely on my vehicle for work, so that has really impacted that department and family members (borrowing everyone’s vehicle...). It was completely unnecessary for my car to be sitting in your lot for two months with no work done on it and no updates. I am very disappointed and frustrated and will not return again because I refuse to be placed in the same situation again. Better communication would have worked in your favor this time, and that’s unfortunate. More
