A Son bought his first car frim there. Bad brakes, ok i changed them for him. What we thought was a bad shock ended up being a completely blown strut. A different repair shop told us it was hazardous to drive and until fixed they wouldnt let it leave their parking lot.. Fine bought strut paid them to fix.....this was day 5 mind you, day 15 engine blows!! We dont even have the title it is still in kerns name. They refuse to take car back, exchange it for the exact same car mileage and condition, or refund his money he oaid for car. I even told i would contact bbb and ohio attorney....i was told "Go ahead he was not scared, there are ways around that" then he hung up. STAY AWAY AN BUYER STAY THE xxxx AWAY!!! More

I checked everything to include the oil before I purchased this car. It was all good. My first oil change the oil was off the dipstick....and every oil change after that for that matter. It is a 07 that had 85K miles when I bought it and burns 2 quarts of oil between every oil change. I know someone who works there that tells me stories about how shady they are to make a sale, and that they find it hilarious when they scam people! They fix cars just enough to make them run....even GO TO JUNK YARDS FOR PARTS!!!! Save yourself the trouble and ALWAYS steer clear of these people...go to TOM AHL...never heard a bad thing about them. I wouldn't buy a car from Kerns again if they paid me to take it!! More
$21, 500 on windsheild, Kern's rock bottom? $23,800! $21, 500 = bright yellow paint on the windshield of a truck… sitting in their lot. $23,800 = Kerns take it or leave it offer. I was informed sever $21, 500 = bright yellow paint on the windshield of a truck… sitting in their lot. $23,800 = Kerns take it or leave it offer. I was informed several times that Kern’s is an internet business, and $23, 800 was their best internet price. There was a mistake in marking the windshield apparently. They didn’t budge. Seems it is a detriment to do try to business here face to face, made me wonder why I had taken the drive to look at buying a truck. Do you really want to spend your hard earned money at a place that won’t honor the price they have written right on the windshield? Yea, neither did I, so I walked out and won’t be back. Spend your money at a place that earns it by acting honorably. More

I have had the vehicle for 3 weeks and it completely broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed. I called the dealership to see about getting it fixed. They blew me off, didn't return my calls, and I had to call another store to even get an answer...which was that I was over my miles and they would not help me. I am stuck with no vehicle as I wait on it to be fixed and completely left responsible for paying for it. Worst dealership experience I've ever had! More
Every employee was fantastic and helped us above and beyond the call of duty. Our car was broke down and they even let us stay in their lot in our motor home for three days! My family purchased a "nice" vehicle from this dealer. It was so clean and ran great that we thought this is too good to be true. The people are very nice. The skillset of the service dept is ques dealer. It was so clean and ran great that we thought this is too good to be true. The people are very nice. The skillset of the service dept is questionable though. The day after we brought our vehicle home, we had issues, the door on the pass side quit working, the check engine light came on, and the vehicle would not start. I only have a 30 day 1000 mile warranty mind you. They came and picked up the vehicle and brought us something else to drive. This showed great customer service. They repaired the problems and brought it back to us. Great huh? The very next day the check engine light came back on. They came and picked it back up and again brought us another ride for the week. They again fixed the problem and brought it back to us. Must have been a fluke... guess what,,, the very next day the check engine light is now back on and they are coming to get the vehicle again for the 3rd time in the 3 weeks i have owned it. We have put less than 200 miles on it and it has to go back to the dealer again. We are expecting a baby any day now we expressed concern about the integrity of the vehicle. They refuse to extend the warranty on it through 3 months and 3000 miles. They wont even stand by their product through the 1st oil change. They are burning up my gas and my 30 day warranty while it gets worked on at their shop. When my 30 day warranty is up, i know i will be told that it is out of warranty and i will be out of luck. We will be stuck making payments on a vehicle that has been broken from day 2 of our ownership. More
I recently had a poor experience with Kerns Ford. After calling about a vehicle listed on their website my husband and I drove an hour and a half to this "Superstore" (as it is advertised online) to find a calling about a vehicle listed on their website my husband and I drove an hour and a half to this "Superstore" (as it is advertised online) to find a nearly empty lot (should have been the first clue). The car we had just inquired on (on the telephone that same day) was nowhere to be found. When someone finally came out to greet us (most car salesmen endlessly prowl the lots) the person to whom my husband had just spoken had no recollection of the conversation. When we asked where this particular vehicle was the salesperson replied that it may be on their other lot. We asked if maybe we should go there to which he replied no, that they would take care of it. The salesperson took us into a dilapidated, empty "showroom" save one Mustang, showed us to his office, stated he would be with us in just a few minutes and left. After 10 minutes, I walked away from the office to find the restroom. The only restroom that could be found was not worthy of the lowest rated interstate truck stop. The smell was horrendous and the toilet appeared as though it had not been flushed all day and held the most awful black water I had ever seen. I immediately turned around and walked back to the office where my husband and child still sat waiting. After a solid twenty minutes the salesperson finally appeared and stated that he was still working on our paperwork with his manager. He told us that there was a waiting room where we might be more comfortable. He did not show us to the waiting room, he merely said that it was up front. So we gathered our belongings and wandered through this empty "Superstore" to a corner of the showroom with a few chairs. We sat here for another ten to fifteen minutes before the salesperson came to make copies of our documents. He then returned and told us that he was unable to do anything for us that day. We understood and agreed to leave our telephone number for him to reach us on the next business day. The next business day came and went with no word. As did the second business day. On the third business day the salesperson called my husband and offered him a different vehicle than the one we had originally applied for. Not only this, but he was now asking for double the down payment and still would not (or could not) tell us what finance rate they were offering. At this point my husband and I were so frustrated at the whole process that we declined any deals with this business. Now, after researching and seeing that others have had less than ideal interactions at Kerns Ford "Superstore", I am thrilled that we did not give them our business. If ever given the opportunity, I will direct any future customers AWAY from this dealer. On a side note (and not surprisingly), this dealer is not accredited with the BBB. More
All of my service experiences have been GREAT! Everyone there has done exactly what I have asked and have brought issues to my attention that I was not aware of. I took my vehicle to Kerns Lincoln Mercury in Celina because the CD player didn’t work. I was told that it was under warranty and to make an appointment and a tech would check the serial number of the because the CD player didn’t work. I was told that it was under warranty and to make an appointment and a tech would check the serial number of the player to ensure that it was under warranty. After the tech checked the serial number, I received a call from the manager saying there was liquid in the player and, as a result, the player wasn’t covered. To add insult to injury, I received a bill for telling me that it wasn’t covered. After much time and numerous visits to the dealership, I was told that if I would take the player to Barry Electronics in Lima and if they ascertained that there was no liquid damage, Kerns would cover the player under warranty. I did as Kerns instructed and took the player to Barrys. Barry’s inspection indicated no liquid problem whatsoever. I returned to Kerns with the statement from Barrys and after weeks of delay, I was informed that Kerns didn’t tell me to take it to Barry Electronics and they were not going to cover the player. After all of this hassle and wasted time and getting the run-around with Kerns, I decided to purchase a used CD player for $56.00 and it works great. There is a valuable lesson to be learned from my experience, Kerns Service Manager (Butch) is definitely not a person of his word. I will take my business elsewhere as I prefer to deal with professionals that I can trust. More
