I was drawn to Kernersville Dodge because of their prices and selection that I had found while internet browsing. I met David Maxson on my first visit and we started narrowing down what I wanted and what I needed. I test drove several vehicles and went back and forth over a weeks time span. Finally found what fit my needs the best with the patient help of David and the rest seem to be easy. Emily Bandy provides a very thorough and detailed introduction to your new vehicle showing all the features and functions it has to offer. They even send you a step by step video in case you forget. They are genuinely glad to help you out. Thank you David and the great team at Kernersville Dodge! More

Worst & most costly purchase experience of my life Fifteen thousand dollars. Remember that. In summer of last year, I went to Kernersville Dodge to look at used heavy duty trucks. Kernersville Dodge Fifteen thousand dollars. Remember that. In summer of last year, I went to Kernersville Dodge to look at used heavy duty trucks. Kernersville Dodge is known as the #1 heavy duty truck dealer in the state, so I figured they would know what they were doing. This was my first heavy duty truck, and my first diesel. I told my salesman this, and we looked at quite a few trucks that day. Finally, we settled on a Chevrolet 3500 SRW diesel. The truck ran rough (not enough to raise alarms, but enough that I commented on it) during the test drive and I was told that was normal for a diesel. Having never driven one before, I believed him. Everything cursory that I knew to look at seemed OK. The tires were in decent shape, the parts of the undercarriage and the mechanics under the hood I could see looked OK (I had no idea what to look for on diesels, so I was just looking for any obvious issues). One of my main concerns is that I'm short and overweight, so getting into the truck would be hard day after day. The sales guy assured me that I could take off the current running boards and get electric ones that would extend lower than the current ones. So, I went home that day thinking I'd gotten a good deal on a great truck. Immediately, I had a high-end alarm system, stereo system, new speakers (some of the originals were blown), and remote start installed. This was going to be my daily driver for a while, and I wanted it to be nice. I took the truck the next month to my new diesel mechanic because of a check engine light and learned that this truck wasn't such a good deal after all. It had broken motor mounts, all the shocks were broken (a lift kit had been improperly installed), there was NO spare tire, rim, or wench, my tires were leaking (two of them), and glow plugs were bad (hence the check engine light). Basically, I'd been sold a truck that was unsafe and never should have been sold in that condition. I paid the mechanic to fix it all, and hoped this would be the end of the repairs. The mechanic also told me that the running boards and the brush guard were an obvious (to an experienced eye) home/backyard job (welded improperly and almost completely to the frame) and they would be very difficult to remove, and that most likely, the truck was used on construction sites due to the wear and tear on the undercarriage. A local welding shop and two off road shops refused to remove the running boards since they were so completely attached to the frame, and it could have damaged the frame to remove them. Also, there was a very large dent in the front of the truck bed where the bed back and bed bottom met. Due to my shortness, I couldn't see it when I bought the truck. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. After thinking on it I called Kernersville Dodge to see if they would make it right - reimburse me for the issues or allow me to return the truck and purchase something else (this was 60 days after purchase). They also removed my running boards WITHOUT my permission -- and then told me they couldn't reattach them when they found out they couldn't install electric running boards on my truck model and year. Then they tried to charge me for the new running boards. We went back and forth (they tried to tell me my truck had depreciated $12,000 in the three months since I had bought it, so the trade in value was a joke). They stated their service department had gone over the truck before I purchased it. I don't believe that for a minute. I really tried to work with them. As you can tell from this review, it didn't do any good. Management was rude, callous, flat-out didn't care that they had a very disgruntled customer on their hands, and truly lived up to the "sleazy car salesman" stereotype. I was passed from person to person, having to retell my entire story each time, you could tell each person didn't really care AT ALL about my purchase satisfaction. It would take days or weeks for them to return calls. After refusing to reimburse me or fix the original issues, I just gave up. They stated they would reimburse me for the spare tire, but never sent the check and wouldn't return repeated phone calls. It was just not worth the stress. I actually ended up with a broken foot due to their direct actions with the running boards - the new running boards were sloped downwards, and I fell off and broke my foot. Between the time I purchase the truck and when I sold eight months later, I put more than $15,000 into the truck OVER the loan amount. About $2600 was for the new stereo upgrades, yes. The final straw was needing to replace a $1500 DEF sensor -- I traded in the truck that night at a different dealership. By the time I sold it, the truck had an entirely new suspension system, most of the break systems had been repaired or replaced, the head and tail lights had all been replaced at least once, a wiring short or three were fixed, it had all fluids flushed, radiator work done, and countless other issues had been fixed. So - if you're considering buying a vehicle, from Kernersville Dodge -- BUYER BEWARE. Bring a certified mechanic with you to inspect the vehicle before you buy, or better yet just go to a different dealership. If you want to lose $15,000 dollars, feel free to ignore this review. More

These People, especially David Maxson is a professional and with no doubt in my mind with what he had on his plate, when he rests his head on his pillow at night, I beleive he sleeps extremely well. Because he gives his everything to his clients whether they be big or small. My hats off to you David, thank you for making my experience with your company so much better than anticipated. P.S. The Guy that picked me up at the airport was like sending your long lost older brother that you've missed, and started the experience off like one feels when they hand you a glass of champagne on a cruise ship. David Maxson & Megan Blevins turned my visit around! I had been looking for a truck for several months. I needed something 4x4, less than 100k miles, and newer than 2010 for less than $20k. As many can a I had been looking for a truck for several months. I needed something 4x4, less than 100k miles, and newer than 2010 for less than $20k. As many can attest to, this is a nearly impossible task. I was referred to Kernersville Dodge by a friend from Fayetteville, NC, so I looked on their website while I was at another dealer in Durham and I found my truck: a 2014 Ram 1500 Tradesman 4x4 and less than 100k miles for around $18,500. I thought this was a great deal and left the other dealership to make the 1.5 hour trip to Kernersville Dodge. 10 Minutes into my drive, I call ahead to make sure they pull the keys for me and they say no problem. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up as someone else was also on the way to buy the truck. An hour into my drive they caught the mistake and called to inform me that my truck was no longer available. I was pretty disappointed, and even more so when I finished the trip to find they didn't have much else in my price range, so I headed back home to Chapel Hill. A few days later, Internet Sales Rep. Megan Blevins gave me a call about a review I left on Google about my experience. She was very professional and brought good news: my truck was still available! I rushed out to 31Dodge and it was right there waiting for me. David Maxson was my salesperson and he was absolutely professional and very understanding of my past gripes. He made the whole process of getting the truck (for a good price as well) very easy and went the extra mile working with me for financing, trading my old car, and even getting me a new spray-in bed liner. While my initial impressions of Kernersville Dodge were sour, David and Megan really turned my experience around. I still contact David about some things and he is always more than happy to help me out. The only negative thing I will maintain about the dealership is that a TPMS sensor in my front right tire went off about half an hour from the dealership and when I called about it, the dealership informed me that they can't help me out with that because it doesn't pose a safety hazard. Kind of disappointing since I just bought it, but that's life. Thanks again to David and Megan for helping me out; I love this truck! More
Illusions of Grandure Been in/around car biz my whole life, and I have never seen a dealership in such denial. Every website, dealer (other than this one) valued my trade Been in/around car biz my whole life, and I have never seen a dealership in such denial. Every website, dealer (other than this one) valued my trade 2500 more than this place. Told me the market for full size trucks is down... What???? It's the highest it's ever been. Then the vehicle I was looking at was priced $3000 higher than any other comparative vehicle, and $3000 higher than the high end retail of KBB. But they were not willing to negotiate over $2000... Really... Undercut my trade and over price your vehicles... Keep it.... Myself nor any of my friends, family, or colleagues will ever set foot in that dealership. More
