Extremely disappointed by the poor customer service and unprofessionalism from Kenny Kent Chevrolet and would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them if you can avoid it! I called Kenny Kent Chevro unprofessionalism from Kenny Kent Chevrolet and would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them if you can avoid it! I called Kenny Kent Chevrolet on October 15, 2022 to inquire about a 2022 Cadillac XT6 that I found on their website. I left a message that I was interested in the vehicle and was contacted by their sales rep Gary Lavore later that afternoon. I scheduled an appointment to test drive the Cadillac XT6 the following Monday morning with Gary Lavore. Gary later called me that afternoon and advised he was heading home sick but James Meyer would be taking over as our sales rep. My wife and I arrived to test drive the car and found a few issues that caused some concern, especially for a car that was less than a year old. The lift gate did not properly function, the floor mats were all missing, and a plastic piece on the passenger side doorway was broken. We were a little disappointed in the condition of the vehicle considering the year and were definitely on the fence about proceeding with a purchase. After explaining our concerns to James, he asked one of the sales managers to come out and speak with us. The sales manager (didn’t catch his name) advised that Kenny Kent Chevrolet would take care of replacing the missing floor mats and would also order us a replacement trim piece if we decided to proceed with purchasing. He also advised that someone with Kenny Kent would call the local Cadillac dealership to schedule an appointment to look at the lift gate since no one at Kenny Kent could get it to operate correctly either. After hearing that Kenny Kent would take care of the items that caused us concern my wife and I discussed whether or not to proceed with purchasing. We met with James Meyer in his office to discuss financials since we would be trading in a vehicle that we owned. James brought in a second sales manager who began to “negotiate” the amount Kenny Kent could offer us for our vehicle. I use quotations around “negotiate” as the sales manager spent more time bragging to us about how much money he makes buying and flipping houses and how much money his current house is worth than he did about the specifics of either vehicle. Having our 4 month old son with us we agreed on a price but stated that we would like to come back the following day to take care of the financials. The sales manager promised us he could get us out of there in 45 minutes so we agreed to stay. At this time, our sales rep James left to go clean up the vehicle, which my wife and I greatly appreciated, but left us alone in his office for more than an hour. After an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting, the sales manager walked by and I told him we had to leave, we could not wait any longer as we needed to get our son home and would much rather just come back the next day. He insisted on us staying and promised us we were next in line for the Finance Manager. It was another 20 minutes before the finance manager finally came and got us. The entire process took much longer than promised, much closer to 3 hours. We would definitely preferred to have closed the deal the following day but the pushy sales tactics of Kenny Kent kept us there. After one week from the purchase date I contacted Kenny Kent to follow up regarding my parts order (floor mats & trim piece) and to see if they had scheduled us an appointment with the Cadillac dealership to have the lift gate inspected. The receptionist asked me my sales reps name and I advised I had worked with James Meyer to purchase. Instead of forwarding me to James, she advised that my file showed Gary Lavore as my rep and he would have information about my parts. I was forwarded to Gary who was away from his desk so I left him a message. Gary called me that afternoon and made a comment about remembering meeting me to test drive the car (he didn’t, he was out sick) and didn’t have an update on the parts but promised to check with James and get back with me that afternoon, but before hanging up asked me to do him a big favor and set up my 1-month free membership to OnStar. Gary never followed up with a call. After another week (2 weeks from purchase) I called Kenny Kent Chevrolet back and spoke with the receptionist who pointed me in the direction of Gary Lavore since he was my sales rep. Gary once again made a big deal about how he remembered meeting with me (which he hadn’t since he went home sick, I never met him). Gary then advised that James had not told him about the parts needing to be ordered but promised to look into it and get back with me that afternoon. Again, before hanging up Gary asked me to do him a big favor and to go into the vehicle and set up my 1-month free membership to OnStar (obviously it benefited Gary in some way). Gary never called me back. After three weeks from purchase, I called and asked to speak to a sales manager as I getting nowhere talking with Gary Lavore. The receptionist forwarded me to a sales manager who I updated regarding the parts that were supposed to be on order and that I had talked to Gary the two weeks before and had not heard anything back. The sales manager apologized for the poor customer service and stated that he would look into it and personally give me a call back that afternoon. He also advised I didn’t have to wait on them to schedule an appointment with Cadillac, I could just do it myself (even though it was supposed to be a courtesy call provided by Kenny Kent). I never received a call back from the sales manager. After 4 weeks I called Kenny Kent Chevrolet and told the receptionist I would like to speak to someone other than my sales rep or one of the sales managers. The receptionist put me in contact with Brenda Sellers who was a manager over a different department at Kenny Kent Chevrolet. I explained the situation to Brenda and she apologized and said she would personally look into the situation and told me she would have me an answer shortly. Brenda called me within 30 minutes and again apologized for the situation and let me know that the parts had never been ordered but she had them on order now. Brenda advised somebody from Kenny Kents parts department would call me when the parts arrived and would schedule a time for me to bring the vehicle in. Brenda was by far the most professional person I dealt with at Kenny Kent and appreciate her helping me even though it was outside of her responsibilities. After another 3 weeks (7 total weeks from purchase) I called Kenny Kent Chevrolet to find out an update regarding the parts. The receptionist put me in touch with someone from the parts department who was able to look the order up by my telephone number. The parts person was able to find my order and said that they had delivered a while ago and wasn’t sure why nobody had called me. I asked if I needed to schedule a time to come in and he advised I could just show up. When I showed up the following Saturday I was greeted by a sales rep who was seated on a bench outside. The sales rep shouted at me across the parking lot and asked if there was anything he could do to help but didn’t get up from the bench. I advised I was there to pick up some floor mats and a plastic piece that was on order. The sales rep who was still seated on the bench asked who my sales rep was and I said I had worked with James. He advised James was back in his office and I could head back there and talk with him. I went inside to James office but he was not there. I went back to the and told the receptionist I was there to pick up some parts that were ordered for me. The receptionist asked me my phone number to look up the order and advised that my sales rep was Gary Lavore, who was outside sitting on the bench. The receptionist then paged Gary that there was someone at the reception waiting for him. When Gary came in the show room, he immediately made a comment about remembering working with me when I came to test drive the vehicle… keep in mind this is the same sales rep who greeted me outside who didn’t recognize me. Gary then invited me to head back to his office. When we arrived in Gary’s office I told him about the parts that were supposed to be on order and he stated that nobody had ever told him about the parts and this is the problem you have when you ask others to help you (blaming the other sales rep James). Gary then picked up the phone and called the parts department and told them I was out front for my parts. Gary Lavore then jokingly made a comment to the parts guy and said, “Don’t make me come back there and whoop your f***ing a**”. I could not believe he would say something so unprofessional in front of a customer. Gary then hung up the phone and told me they were bringing the parts up and I could wait in his office with him. At this point I was completely disgusted and told Gary I would go outside and wait. I went outside and Gary never followed up with me, even though it was obvious I was an upset customer. The individual from the parts department met me out front in the parking lot with the floor mats and the trim piece in two large cardboard boxes and sat them down beside the car. When I asked the individual if they could install the plastic trim piece since I didn’t have the parts to remove the existing piece they just advised they didn’t know how to either. The individual then let me load the boxes myself into the car to take with me to figure out how to install. At this point I was so upset with the lack of customer service I was receiving I went back into the showroom and asked the receptionist if I could speak with the General Manager and that I did not want to speak to anyone from sales or any other sales manager. She left to go check to see if the General Manager was in his office but came back and advised that he was out to lunch but that he would call me back once he got back to the office. I explained to her exactly what had happened over the past few weeks and she took several notes to give the General Manager. She then took my number and advised me that he would follow up with me that afternoon and apologized for my experience. I never received a call from the General Manager of Kenny Kent Chevrolet regarding any of my concerns or the poor customer service I had received. I ended up having to call the local Cadillac dealership myself and scheduling an appointment to have the lift gate inspected and the plastic trim piece replaced. I will not ever purchase a vehicle from Kenny Kent Chevrolet again. If you decide to purchase from Kenny Kent Chevrolet, I warn you to proceed with caution. However, I would like to thank Brenda Sellers and James Meyer who both went above and beyond to help us out, especially James who stepped in to help another sales rep and spent an hour detailing the car once we agreed to purchase because the detail department had left for the day. I really believe he should be the one fully compensated for the purchase of the vehicle. More

This tells me that this car underwent little to no inspection. The car itself is not what landed this 1 star review. In fact, the 1 star review is mainly for the horrible service I was given. Prior to picking up the car, Chis made several promises that he obviously did not have intentions in keeping. When confronting Chris about what he promised to do, he ignored it and only got upset and refused to keep his “promises”. Overall, I am not upset about the car, but am genuinely concerned about the fact that a company that is supposedly so devoted to customer service had a person like Chris White working for them. More

Chris White deserves every kind word! He was not pushy at all, he gave my husband and I total privacy, and he just went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. After visiting other dealershi all, he gave my husband and I total privacy, and he just went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. After visiting other dealerships and dealing with rude salesmen and rude managers, I just wish we had found Chris sooner! I will most definitely recommend Chris to friends and family, unmatched in his true care for the customer. More
Kenny Kent lied to me about what discount programs were available, so I made a purchase in good faith. Then I called my national association about why they continue to promote this benefit when it wasn’t a available, so I made a purchase in good faith. Then I called my national association about why they continue to promote this benefit when it wasn’t available They assured me it was, and I bought 2 more trucks from another dealer and I received both the national discount and fleet discounts - worth over $4,000. Kenny Kent would not call me back until I contacted them a 3rd time and the sales manager just brushed me off. DISHONEST and crooked dealer. Stay away!! More
