My experience with FORD started off a little rocky. I came in late one night just to look at the new cars and get some price ideas for when I was ready to buy. The sales man who helped me was VERY pushy and tried to get me to buy a USED 2008 Ford Focus which I was not 100% sure I wanted to buy. He got his sales manager to come and try and pressure me into the deal (it was the end of the month and I know every one has goals, but really?!) Eventually me and my boyfriend just walked out of the place. I worked in Anchorage at the time so instead of going back to Kendall I ended up meeting with a gentleman at Cal Worthington FORD. He was very nice and polite and I decided that I wanted to take my business there. I needed a co-signer on my loan and my Aunt did not want to drive into Anchorage, so we went back to Kendall FORD where my Aunt had purchased her car and even got her sales man, Michael Schneider. Michael is wonderful! He is funny and informative and very patient! I ended up buying a 2012 FORD Focus SEL and I love my car! I have had a couple issues with it since I've purchased it but Brad Tidwell in the service department was always more than willing to fix the problems and in a timely manner. When I moved to Oregon I had to drive an hour to Eugene to get my car serviced and to finish fixing one of the things that went wrong while my car was in Alaska but wasn't critical to fix before shipping it. I can tell you that the service department in Wasilla is 100 time's more friendly and accommodating than the one in Eugene, Oregon. I bought my car from Michael almost two years ago to the day and he still remembers me, my Aunt and things I told him while we were waiting for my loan to process. He is STILL two years later someone I can depend on to help me get things done, and done correctly, and always follows-up! I recently called to get pricing on new snow tires since I moved back to Alaska and he followed up with me multiple times to make sure someone called me back. I am sad to hear that Brad no longer works in Wasilla! I just hope that the level of service I am used to continues in his absence. More
I had the chance to deal with Michael Schneider again at Kendall Ford of Wasilla and it made the car buying experience much more pleasurable. There was a mistake about my appointment for my Ford Escape for 09//03/13 and I had made a call to service the previous day to confirm my time and appointment and asked is my appoint for the 3rd of Octo Escape for 09//03/13 and I had made a call to service the previous day to confirm my time and appointment and asked is my appoint for the 3rd of October when I got there Mr Krueger told me that it was for the 4th I told him I called to confirm the previous day and told me Mr Conrad we will take care of your issue and he did. I was delighted with my overall purchase of a new 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid vehicle because Car & Driver gave it an excellent rating and went on to say that it is more roomier and gets 250 HP more horse powe Ford C-MAX Hybrid vehicle because Car & Driver gave it an excellent rating and went on to say that it is more roomier and gets 250 HP more horse power than the Toyota Prious. Doc helped me put my car together with the features that I wanted, kept me posted on the progress of my car and updated with where my vehicle w Doc. When I picked up my vehicle at the dealership, he thoroughly went over the car with me, set up my Bluetooth and emailed me information that will help me understand my vehicle better. The combination of years of experience and knowledge coupled with charismatic personalities facilitated an extremely smooth purchasing experieince. Upon arriving in Alaska in 2002, we purchased our first vehicle from Nye Ford. Yesterday’s vehicle purchase makes this our third new vehicle from this dealership. Often overlooked is the Kendall Service Department. Although I find the high rate of turnover in service advisors puzzling, we have only high marks for the Service Department at Kendall Ford Wasilla. A thorough and honest service department weighs heavily in our decision process on where to buy any durable goods. Thank you Jim, John and Ryan. More
The Kendall team is truly a well oiled machine, from the leadership and direction of GM Grant Olson, to the relaxed efficient and courteous Robert Taylor in sales, the detail shop whisking vehicles in and o leadership and direction of GM Grant Olson, to the relaxed efficient and courteous Robert Taylor in sales, the detail shop whisking vehicles in and out at a rapid pace made my used purchase look brand new,then finishing up in finance with Ryan Benson Who made what appeared like a mountain of paperwork a non issue with his quick and efficient processing skills. I have been buying new vehicles from Kendall Ford since 2004. Owning a business in Anchorage, we have upgraded our fleet to keep in step with our needs and I am pleased with Kendall's sales and service dep 2004. Owning a business in Anchorage, we have upgraded our fleet to keep in step with our needs and I am pleased with Kendall's sales and service departments. We of course deal with their fleet sales department and have been very satisfied with how my salesman has worked with and for us to provide the best deals available in Alaska. To date, we have purchased five light to medium duty trucks. We also got a Flex for my wife ( drives as nice as my Lincoln Towncar ). We have had a couple mechanical problems, but they were dealt with by their service department and solved in a professional manner. I will continue to use Kendall for all my vehicle needs. I have to qualify my statements with saying that I am a "Ford guy". I believe Ford to be the best available and I think they will only get better. The F-350 that I just bought is as light on its feet as an F-150 and the performance is mind blowing. (6.2 L) WOW, Thank you Ford. More
My husband and I went into the dealership to test drive a vehicle. Doc Kane was our salesman who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy at all! He spent a few hours with us, test drove a couple of vehicles and was very patient with us when we decided to order a Ford Edge directly from the factory. Doc kept us informed weekly on the status of the vehicle and it arrived sooner than expected. We picked up our new vehicle on 11/5 and Doc called us the following day just to follow up and answer any questions if needed, and see if we're still happy with our purchase, which we are. I highly recommend Doc Kane and will certainly call on him again in the future when we need to purchase another vehicle. Rich & Tina Bosela More
Very poor quality of work. I had front axle and hub seals and a burnt up hib that were bad on a 2005 F350 so I took it to Kendall to get repaired. $3000 later I was still having issues. I had also requested to see and keep the old parts which mysteriously were never found after requesting them before and after the work was completed. I brought the truck back because the 4x4 was inoperable and they told me it was a solenoid. This is something that should have been checked before it was released out the door. I replaced the solenoid myself because they wanted to charge me another $400 to do so. Still had issues and a few months later I checked the seals and found the passenger side to be leaking. They stated they would cover the repair under warranty. They lied. The whole passenger side hub got trashed and they tried charging me again for repairs because water got inside. If the seals were replaced right the first time this wouldn't have happened. Save yourself the stress and headache and money, go somewhere else. They will do anything to screw a customer and don't stand behind their work at all. More
