I bought a used electric vehicle in April of 2025. By the IRS website I am eligible for the $4000 tax credit which gives me a $4000 windfall on my tax return. Being a return customer I thought that Kendall knew what they were doing and would do everything necessary, which includes filing the Clean Vehicle Sellers Report with the IRS. I attempted to file my taxes today and it was rejected. I spoke to an accountant and they said it was rejected due to Kendall not filing the proper paperwork. The IRS website states that the seller MUST submit the paperwork within 3 days of the purchase. I contacted Kendall Ford and spoke to several people and none of them were aware that they were supposed to submit the paperwork. They kept saying that “I would bet that none of the dealerships submit that paperwork on used vehicles”. Which is akin to saying, “Well, since all the other guys are jumping off a bridge, so am I”. I, do to no fault of my own, lost my job on 11/26/25. I have put in 80+ applications and for the most part have been told I’m overqualified. I even applied to Kendall and they refused to interview me as it was an “entry level” position. The bills have been piling up. I finally got hired by a government agency yesterday with a start date of Feb 7, 2026. The job is in Victor, ID. 5 hours away from the treasure valley. This tax return was supposed to catch me up on my bills (so the car I purchased doesn’t get repossessed) and pay for my love for my new job. I wasn’t asking for a $4000 check from them, which they accused me of doing, I was merely asking them to upload the form that should have been uploaded upon the purchase of the car. Under the ITS guidelines they are able to submit a corrected form that would then be looked at by the IRS and the IRS would determine if they would use it or not. Brandon, after calling someone, still refused to do so. Kendall Ford couldn’t care less about the fact that their ignorance is causing negative consequences for their customers. Now I’m unable to take the job as I’m unable to pay for the move or even catch up on my payments with the vehicle. I’m a few weeks from being homeless and they couldn’t care less. I had the worst experience with their salesman, Daniel Cyr. Dan Cyr is the slimiest and most dishonest salesman I ever met. When I told him we'd like some time to think about it, Dan cursed off my wife an Cyr. Dan Cyr is the slimiest and most dishonest salesman I ever met. When I told him we'd like some time to think about it, Dan cursed off my wife and called her racial slurs. He called her the N word because she is mixed race. He then gave me the middle finger. Extreme aggressiveness in car salesmen and racism in Idaho are one thing, but Dan went way over the line and should not be employed at Kendall Ford of Meridian or anyplace at all. More
