We received an email asking us to review our experience buying our truck from them.... I would love to let them know how it's going with our new truck except for the fact that we haven't had it since we bo buying our truck from them.... I would love to let them know how it's going with our new truck except for the fact that we haven't had it since we bought it, it's still in their shop at the dealership. We bought it on Labor Day (September 2nd) and here we are on the 17th and do not have our truck. I'll start by saying our sales guy, Jack, was good. Very up front with us, very personable, and honestly has been great with us through this whole ordeal. We're not throwing him under the bus, as we know what's happening has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Kendalls higher ups and the company themselves. So buckle up, this is a long one. When the truck was first brought to us to look at, we were told that we couldn't take it on the main road yet, as they had just brought it in that weekend and the safety check had not yet been performed. As soon as we said we were interested in buying it and were approved for the loan, Jack had been told by the sales manager that never mind, the safety check has been performed and we were good to go. We were rushed through the process, and pretty much pushed out the door. So we drove the truck home, and the next morning as my husband was driving to work he realized something was really not right. There were issues with steering components hitting each other that were causing the vehicle to swerve. We immediately contacted the dealer (less than 12 hours later) and were told to bring it in. We brought the vehicle in, explained what was going on and that it was not safe to drive. They said they'd take care of it and let us know when it was done. They call us the next day to tell us it's fixed, but couldn't tell us what was done. We go in, nothing has been done to the vehicle, they hand us the safety inspection report from when the vehicle was brought in on trade. The report says there are issues with steering and suspension that will require further attention. But they were unable to give us paperwork showing what was done to fix it. So we refuse to take it and explain again what's wrong with the vehicle. So again, it's there for a few more days. We get another call saying ok, now it's fixed. I asked what has been done to it and was told over the phone he wasn't sure what was done but the sales manager would be available for pick up. So we go in again. And again get there and it's not fixed (at this point we know what's wrong, and also what needs to be done to fix it). So again we get under the vehicle, point out what's wrong and explain it. The sales guy sees it, agrees with us on what's wrong and what would need to be done to fix it, and flat out tells us the dealership is going to try everything to not do that because they won't want to spend the money. So again, we refuse to take it and leave it there. My husband is told it'll be done Monday, and here we are a week later and have not heard a peep. So now we're stuck paying for a vehicle we have yet to even really bring home, we don't even really want it at this point because we're worried about what else could be wrong with it. And we have lost all trust in this company to do what's needed to fix it. More
