They ordered part and replaced and then called and said it was another sensor that is bad and that it will cost another $1300. The service manager called and explained they don’t know all the issues until they start replacing parts. I think they misdiagnosed the issue to begin with. I have heard horror stories about Kendal Ford since buying the dealership from Cal Worthington and their poor vehicle service department I had received good service in the past Now I have experienced the poor side. The paperwork they gave me said they replaced the oil pan assembly in order to fix what they diagnosed as a leaking oil pan. Fast forward nine months, the car stinks again - of burning oil. I take it in again - one full day to diagnose that it's the oil pan again. "Come back in two weeks when parts are in." The service department rep calls me to bring it in a week from that day - this dealership is booking service appointments more than a week out - I tell her that I can bring it by that evening b/c I'm leaving town for a week. She says they can probably work it in while I'm away, so it will be done when I get home. Nope. While away, I receive Zero phone calls and status reports. I call her on my last day away to find that my car is still not done (it's been there six weekdays by then). They give me a "rental car" loaner (NOT an equivalent to my car) - and check it out to me for FIVE days. What?! It's going to be another FIVE days? They already had the parts. This is simply man hours at this point. No calls, no messages. I call her - no call back. Finally today (by now, my car has been there 13 weekdays) I call and leave an "urgent" message. Amazing! She calls me - all happy: "How are you?" Seriously? How am I? I want my car. No apology, just excuses. It's going to maybe be done in two more business days. I wish I'd read the reviews on this site before buying my Ford - it looks like people have pretty much the same experience I have had. Poor form, Kendall. You do know that customers with bad experiences talk about their experiences more often and to more people than those with good experiences, don't you? You might want to listen to your "hold" music - it says you really care about your customers. Actually, you should probably change it, so that it's more accurate. At least it will give customers a heads-up of what they're in for. More
“ this old truck” 2010... 2019 purchase. I don’t usually use names for the rare occasion that I am compelled to write a complaint. But Tony? You are an unscrupulous ( even by car salesman sta I don’t usually use names for the rare occasion that I am compelled to write a complaint. But Tony? You are an unscrupulous ( even by car salesman standards). Flat out liar. Selling me the most expensive used truck, sans any knowledge of the vehicle. Or maybe you just knew that you were selling a lemon. It’s transparent that no mechanic touched anything under the hood or under the truck. ( a destroyed drive train, transmission, the disconnected washer fluid, the screwdriver that was left under the hood for probably 8 years)... I could continue on rattling off the issues with mechanics 101. Won’t do me any good. But this 19$k+ purchase? I expect more from a rental car. Not Tony’s “well these old trucks” crap. Yeah maybe I am not a mechanic. But I am also a brutally honest man. Tony is a useless cog in the Kendall machine. A 2010 truck is not a “old truck” too me. Outdoor neon should read “ Ford dealership, if you buy brand new only”. And that’s pathetic. did I mention the transmission, drive train? I drove that truck less than 50 miles. And less than 2 weeks before it cost us 1800$ for a “refurbished drivetrain” could be installed. A good month and a half later. it’s now back with Kendall. And my differential is now broken. And that was only 2 days after the 2nd mechanical failure. Do not have business with Kendall. All I wanted was an extended cab, 5 seat pickup. Tony and the rest of Kendall used that. And exploited that. Lying to me and my family. For the weasel like commission. Once he sold us a lemon? He doesn’t care. Typical of a weasel. And I have had ferrets with more integrity. More
They don’t care Big take a way, if you take your vehicle here, you will get liars and crooks who will tell you you need a $9000 job when it will probably be about $50 Big take a way, if you take your vehicle here, you will get liars and crooks who will tell you you need a $9000 job when it will probably be about $500. The awful experience I had here was one of the worst. I brought my 2004 Ford F-150 5.4L V8 in because I have having misfires in cylinders 6, 7, and 8. I though I would get a good diagnosis and have it fixed, but boy was I in it. Not only did the technician who serviced my vehicle not do anything, he told me that I needed a new engine and he quoted me $9,050 to repair my issue. Really! So obviously I didn’t do that and had it towed home. When I looked at what the technician said he did, I didn’t find any metal in my oil, so I did an oil change just in case. I replaced my spark plugs as well and done. The truck runs better than it did before my issue. Really disappointed with you Kendall Ford. You should strive to do quality and reliable work. More
More concerned with money than doing right by the customer *update- I called the general manager and when he returned my phone call, he also refused to honor the original deal. I test drove a used car and w *update- I called the general manager and when he returned my phone call, he also refused to honor the original deal. I test drove a used car and worked out a deal with the salesman. In the final paperwork it was discovered that they had mistakenly put in the wrong stock number. They came back and told me what happened and gave me a new price on the car. They refused to honor the original deal. They instead offered me the same deal on a much lesser car, the car in error, a car I have never seen. The sales manager was unapologetic and refused to budge in the matter. More
Careless staff My car had stopped working and was brought in to Kendall Ford of Anchorage on 12-18-2018, front desk told us they won't touch my car until 12/24. We w My car had stopped working and was brought in to Kendall Ford of Anchorage on 12-18-2018, front desk told us they won't touch my car until 12/24. We went to the dealership on 12/22 to get something out of my car. The hood of my car was popped open out in the open, only God knows how long it had been open this week's temperature had been below 20 degrees. Was it that hard to close the hood if your done looking at it and open it again when you are ready to work on it. Some people see it to be just a job and not give a xxxx about people's property. This is not right! More
This place will Rip you off !! I recently bought a Lincoln from here. I am sure I am not the only one saying that all the vehicles here are marked at least 10-12 k over its actual value. Also, if you do go here, do the research on the vehicle first and also please inspect the car inside and out because they will not tell you or show you the damages. They will also make you believe that "they do not mark up their prices like other dealers". I know they have to make some profit but ripping me off over 12k was just disgusting, I think. Also, be careful of their finance guy, he will make you believe that he is giving you a discount but the price on the warranties are already inflated over 300% which I think should not even be legal. I made a mistake of not doing my research so don't make the mistake I made. This place is full of crooks and will take advantage of you at every chance. More
Price gouging to the max They wanted $5000 over NADA retail for a vehicle that has some damage. Car Gurus says this vehicle is overpriced more than $12,000!! Not only that bu They wanted $5000 over NADA retail for a vehicle that has some damage. Car Gurus says this vehicle is overpriced more than $12,000!! Not only that but they were only willing to give me less than $7,000 below the NADA clean trade in value of my vehicle which is in pristine stock condition with no issues. Be wary of Kendall!!!! More
