What an excellent experience I had working with your team as I purchased a new Ford Bronco -- specifically Justin James, an absolutely fantastic sales rep. I've met with many automotive sales reps through the years, and Justin and the team at the dealership were just great. Patient, helpful, responsive -- I was genuinely impressed, especially since I took my sweet time finding the right Bronco for myself! Justin was so helpful in following up with me over time, providing options, and -- as your campaign says -- genuinely listening to what I wanted and what I was looking for. And the purchase experience was great too with Jake Beck, he was outstanding. I've never felt this way in buying a vehicle, thanks for running such a great team. 🙂 More
I bought a van from here two months ago, and my experiences with this dealership have been abysmally negative. I can make a list of all the things that have gone wrong since I walked in their front experiences with this dealership have been abysmally negative. I can make a list of all the things that have gone wrong since I walked in their front door: -They failed to give me all the documentation they needed when I first arrived and purchased the van. I even came the next day regarding an issue with my temporary tags (which they did nothing to try and resolve) and they did not advise me of this missing document until an hour after I had already returned home. -I have had a check engine light on literally since two days after driving the van off the lot. I took it in within two weeks to get it fixed, and they kept it for a week. A WEEK! And all they did was put in transmission fluid (or at least, that's all they said they did) and gave it back to me. No paperwork or anything with it. -And guess what? The check engine light came back on within 50 miles again! It was the same code regarding the transmission. I took it in two weeks ago (after waiting nearly two weeks from scheduling the appointment), and they didn't have any updates for me at all when I called 4 days later. After 8 days, I finally called and asked for a supervisor, and was told that my transmission needed to be overhauled and that I was looking at another week without a van. I told them to give it back to me while they got the equipment need to reassemble the transmission, since it was driving alright at the time, and they said it was usable at the time, and could manage a few hours on the road. -During that window, I spent roughly 3.5 hours on the road, The van went from working fine enough to becoming nigh undrivable. And not because of the transmission! No, the power steering completely stopped working! If you don't know just as I didn't know, these are totally separate systems. The power steering makes it so you can hardly turn, and when you do, it sounds like an angry monster getting abruptly woken up in the morning. Oh, and the van has had no windshield wiper fluid since the time I drove it off the lot. Mind you, this was a 2019 with 64K miles on it, and I've barely put on 1K. I bought a 2008 at another Ken Garff dealership a year ago, and despite that car being a lemon too, I had less issues in the first 2 months, with more miles, than with this one. How was this considered ready to sell!? Go watch the original Matilda movie--it's like I bought this from Wormwood Auto Sales! I am a rideshare driver, and I have missed out on opportunities to make thousands of dollars because of the ineptitude of some of the representatives here. Why they've spent an accumulated 2 weeks with my vehicle over 2 separate periods without resolving the issue at hand is beyond me. Meanwhile, the Sundance Film Festival passed me by, and numerous promotions on rideshare driving apps were out of reach. The van didn't even get halfway through a 26 ride threshold before the power steering essentially fell apart. While thankfully I am a year out from being financially desperate, I would be 100% SOL by now if I lived from paycheck to paycheck, and as a direct result of this dealership. If you are looking at buying a car from a Ken Garff dealership, don't. I've had so many miserable experiences between both of the vehicles I've purchased from KG dealerships in the past 10 months. They've rendered me unable to work and essentially isolated within my home while I'm left hoping that they are doing more than filling my van full of sawdust and duct tape. Just don't, and thank me later. More
Worst car buying experience of my life. I will never do business with any Ken Garff dealership again. They are dishonest. We made a $1,000 deposit to be put on a waiting list to order a Mac I will never do business with any Ken Garff dealership again. They are dishonest. We made a $1,000 deposit to be put on a waiting list to order a Mach-E after being told the deposit was fully refundable. We found another vehicle prior to entering any order for the Mach-E and when we requested the deposit back were told they had changed the policy and the deposit could only be applied to the purchase of another vehicle. When questioned about the previous statement we were told that unless we had it in writing they wouldn't honor it. More
This is no way negates my other review but to give credit where credit is due Brandon in the service department did do some serious legwork to fix a totally botched situation, and I was very happy with his e where credit is due Brandon in the service department did do some serious legwork to fix a totally botched situation, and I was very happy with his efforts. After another month waiting for my marker lights to be installed, and being assured when I got there everything would be ready to go, they had indeed ordered the wrong parts two months before and NOT checked them until the day of my (third) appointment. Brandon called other dealers to find the right parts, personally went and got them, and had his service team still get it done for me that day. I am still extremely disappointed in that it even got to this point but Brandon was fantastic and got it done. Despite the fact that there were significant metal shavings left in the interior as well as on my windshield when I picked it up, a strong thank you also to the mechanics who hustled to get it done. I am very disappointed with my experience with Ken Garff Ford West Valley. They played fast and loose with car prices and other details of making the sale. The biggest issue though is their MANDATORY char Ford West Valley. They played fast and loose with car prices and other details of making the sale. The biggest issue though is their MANDATORY charge of $995 for CarRX. This is a complete scam, and you cannot remove that charge. The General Manager's name is Brian King, and he is responsible for this obscenity. More
Extreme sketchy experience with this charged, completely standard stuff when a bank and a dealership are working together on behalf of a customer. Dealership was unable to provide that standard documentatio standard stuff when a bank and a dealership are working together on behalf of a customer. Dealership was unable to provide that standard documentation, instead insisting they needed the money to be wired first in order to provide that paperwork. Nothing had been signed at this point, my bank had absolutely no paperwork regarding the car, the dealership just wanted thousands of dollars wired to them immediately without providing any documentation or having either me or my bank sign any kind of paperwork. When the dealership finally did give some paperwork, it was insufficient and lacked necessary details about what exactly is being charged, leading to my bank loan officer telling me they are getting uncomfortable working with this dealership due to their behavior to that point. After changes in my personal life led to me having to unfortunately pull out of the deal, dealership management still tried pushing the sale onto me, even after I explained I literally could not afford it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this dealership! I thought in ordering a brand new truck it wouldn't matter too much what dealership I went through, and a friend (who has bought multiple new trucks I thought in ordering a brand new truck it wouldn't matter too much what dealership I went through, and a friend (who has bought multiple new trucks through them) had recommended this branch of Ken Garff so here I am. Ordering my truck was easy, my salesman was friendly, seemed knowledgeable and walked me through everything at that stage. He told me that financing through them would save me $2000 as an "incentive", however, when I set up financing on my own my salesperson then said "I must have communicated that wrong" and that I actually would pay close to 4k more for financing on my own, but not actually "save" any going through them. Wow, but okay. When it arrived I didn’t get a call, but had followed its production online so after a week or so I called them, and my salesman and the finance dept. then HEAVILY pressured me into signing online for it that day, even though it still wasn't quite ready, saying I would "lose incentives" if I didn't. Fine. I was told he would walk me through the paperwork and give me copies when I picked it up the next day. He was not there. Two months later I am still waiting on lights to be installed that I had ordered and were missed in production. They were ordered quickly and my salesman said he would schedule the install for me, it's "easy". After not being able to get me in on any day I don't work I asked if I should call the service dept. directly, "no, I'll handle it for you". No news from him for two weeks, so I reach out and he says that it's actually too hard for him to schedule... at the same place he works... and that I should now call directly. The next available day was a month out, I took work off, arrived at the dealership at the time they scheduled me, and they tell me they cannot do them on that day. Too many other vehicles and the mechanic to do them was not scheduled. No phone call in advance, when they scheduled me a MONTH before. I missed work, spent time and gas unnecessarily (3 hours each way) and am now another month out. The service department manager was the only person who seemed to give a xxxx they messed this up so bad and topped off my tank. On top of the lights, the bedliner that comes with the package I ordered ($600 value) is not on my truck, and I was told by my salesman that's what holds up production at the factory and they wanted to push it through. It arrived 3 months earlier than he told me to expect. He offered to have it done at Ken Garff for $475. I did not receive a $600 discount on the package I ordered, so I would expect them to do it for free. I would much rather have waited 3 more months for the truck to be done exactly as I'd ordered, as I'd expect on a brand new nearly $70k truck. Now I have to take another day to drive 3 hours each way, spending time and gas I wouldn't have had to, to get the lights done. They still won't do the bedliner unless I pay for it AGAIN though, and deal with more of their xxxxxxxx. There's more, but I digress. Just please do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. More
Read your sales contract. I bought a vehicle about 6 weeks ago. They offered some addons which we declined, so on and so forth. We signed the contract assuming it was as a I bought a vehicle about 6 weeks ago. They offered some addons which we declined, so on and so forth. We signed the contract assuming it was as agreed and discussed. 2 weeks go by and I get my bank my initial finance paperwork. Their summary of financed charges indicated several items we were not offered or informed were added to the list price. I then realized I didn't get any copies if the sales paperwork. I had to call and have the paperwork emailed to me, sure enough, it had nearly $3k of items I didn't want. The item that I find the worst is they ADDED a anti theft tracking service that I wasn't given the opportunity to decline. When I mentioned this the answer was they INCLUDED that with every sale. They didn't argue when I pointed out if the cost is added to the agreed price it's not included and that can't add something without my consent. They actually didn't argue at all about cancelling and refunding any item they added. The biggest reason I will never deal with any Ken Garff again is they offered a service package which I declined but he said he would give it to me as a courtesy. Guess what, that charge was added. I asked about that and I was told the sales price was adjusted to compensate, not according to the contract you didn't. It's only $150 but you lied so take that back, I'll have people I can trust service my vehicle. More
Where do I start. How about after the deal is done and I drive 4 hours I am doing a walk thru and notice the front tire has a four inch gash in it that folds back abou How about after the deal is done and I drive 4 hours I am doing a walk thru and notice the front tire has a four inch gash in it that folds back about an inch. Real safe for driving home on the interstate at 80. They did however put 4 new tires on after I informed them I wasn’t sharing the bill with them. Earlier that day they had told me they fixed the retracting step that would get stuck half way down. All looked good. Two days after I get home the step sticks half way down ( which they told me they fixed). Take to my mechanic he says the teeth are sheered off on drive. Needs new drive. I call and ask what they was going to do. They wanted me to drive 4 hours back so the service manager could look at odometer to see if the manufactured warrantee would cover it. I informed them I bought it with more then 36000 miles on it so what was they going to try to do? No answer. I informed them it wasn’t worth my time to drive there and the fuel to have some service manager tell me ford wasn’t going to cover it. They informed me that they was upside on the deal cuz of the tires (that probably would of had a blow out on the way home) that they wasn’t going to do anything about it. So I would stay completely away from Ken Garff ford Also it takes 2–3 days to get any kind of response from anyone there. More
