WORST EVER! Service, Repairs and Communication I bought my 2013 Altima last year from Ken Garff of Orem. Once I left the dealership with my new car, I found the salesman had been very dishonest about several things during our transaction and I posted about this last year stating I would never step foot on that property again, absolutely worst car buying experience EVER! Well several things have gone wrong with the car since then including seat warmers that I discovered (when trying to get them repaired) that they were put in after-market even though I bought the car new - no problem just was not informed of that or how to use the electric start or that there was a trunk button on the back, etc., etc., all things I discovered as I used the car. So reluctantly I had to take the car back there for this repair. I spoke with the manager Scott several times about my experience and reluctance of which I was assured I would be totally taken care of, enough to win back my business - HOLY CRAP WAS THAT ANOTHER LIE!!! So I left a list of things that needed to be looked at, including the seat warmers, and asked for an oil change and tire rotation. (Now these items had already been discussed with the manager Scott but also left with two people at the shop when I dropped it off). Days go by and no one calls on the status of the car. I call and leave messages for the manager which are never returned. So I start calling the shop itself and leaving messages. After a week I finally get a hold of someone and they tell me the car is done and that they have finished all repairs and the oil change and tire rotation. So I go over the list with them and they are like "We didn't know about any of that". WHAT?!?! The seat warmers are why I brought it down there in the first place. They had only fixed a loose ground (AFTER A WEEK)! So another week goes by and they say they have everything done including oil and tires (as that was done very first I was told). I go down to get the car and as I am leaving I notice my dash says "Engine Maintenance" (change oil). I turn around and go back in and ask them about this and they say yes of course it was done, here let me check and show you. As they go through the computer, there is no record of the oil being changed or the tires rotated even though they told me on the phone and to MY FACE that the work had been done. BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP, SALES PEOPLE AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN THE U.S. More

The new car agents, Chris and Jose were both working hard to get us into a car so we could get home. It took awhile but we left very happy with a 2014 Rogue. I will most definitely recommend this service department and especially the new car salesmen. More

I walked in to the dealership knowing exactly which car (model, trim, color, etc.) I wanted and what I was willing to pay (based on my research). This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. They found my *exact* car (from another dealership), beat the price I had found online, and then delivered it to my house (took them overnight to get it from the other dealership). Andy Allen (andya@kengarff.com) is a fantastic sales guy. Look him up. He'll take good care of you. Financing experience was flawlessly awesome too. Hence, 5 stars. More
Terrible Customer Service I was dealing with Nathan and he was condescending during our communications then he just ended all communication when I asked for a manager. I ended I was dealing with Nathan and he was condescending during our communications then he just ended all communication when I asked for a manager. I ended up going to a different Nissan dealer for business. Never again will I bother with this location. And believe me when people ask me about my NEW car I will make sure that everyone knows to avoid this location. More

I was searching for a used convertible and I found one listed through the web that led me to Garff Nission. i live in Colorado and the car was at the dealership in Salt Lake City Utah. Since my experience was quite full I will just list this fantastic experience. Thanks again to Cory for being the Ideal salesmen and to the whole Garff Nissan team. - Call online and communicate daily for a week to make arrangements - super support - Additional pictures sent as requested as I will not physically see the car.until I arrive. - Salesman worked through weekend as needed to support - phone & texting - Dealer/Salesmen agreed to pick me up at airport - since I will be driving the car back to Colorado - Dealer agreed down payment could be used for another car if I wasn't completely happy - Prior to my arrival Dealer/Salesmen provided additional discount without my request due to "check engine light" being on - high level of integrity. - Dealer/Salesmen visited DMV to check temporary tags process prior to my visit. - All paperwork and processing done in about 45 minutes. - Dealership office is very cool - Wifi - Couches - soda and popcorn -Dealer/Salesmen escorted me to DMV - Salesmen kept in touch with me on my drive back to Colorado and also since then. I have to say not only am I pleased with my vehicle but the customer service was just incredible. I can't say thanks enough to Cory Fenton for his great customer focus and sincere interest in my purchase and satisfaction after the sale. I strongly recommend Ken Garff Nissan, and I don't even live in Utah! Regards, John More

They offered hardly any incentives and it felt like I really had to fight them to get a good deal, plus they kept trying to convince me to lease a new vehicle, and that wasn't what I wanted to do at all. But this year my husband and I were kind of entertaining the idea of upgrading to a Traverse. We were simply just looking and we happened to come by Ken Garff Nissan in Orem to look at a Traverse they had there. Oh my goodness! Best experience I ever had! Bryan would suggest an idea and I would say that that was not what I wanted, and then he'd go fight for me to get what I wanted. And the incentives were amazing. They really do listen to us! And he got us a killer deal; we left with our Traverse that day and were very happy with everything! All the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was very light and upbeat; we felt very comfortable being there and not pressured at all. We will never go to any other dealership again, Ken Garff is the place to go! More

I do have one complaint, find a way to update your cars being sold on the internet faster!!!! I spoke to Kyle on the phone Saturday and the truck we wanted sold that night. :-(. We arrived early 8:30 to get started, nothing on his lot so he took us to their ford lot. We are big ford family. Took awhile and spent more money then we had planned but these used ford trucks sell like hotcakes.it took us all day from start to finish but my boy is a happy camper. Thanks Kyle holliman More
"WE WILL BE BACK" My husband and I have been looking for a new car/SUV these last couple of weeks. We have purchased 8 new cars and trucks and more than we would like My husband and I have been looking for a new car/SUV these last couple of weeks. We have purchased 8 new cars and trucks and more than we would like to remember, several used cars for our 5 children over the past 17 years. In doing so, have had many many experiences with salesman and dealerships. We had been really shopping hard for a car for three days straight and were getting tired. We have never owned a Nissan, but our daughter made us promise to visit your dealership. We had pretty much been sold on a Honda Accord, but in keeping with our promise to her, we visited Orem Ken Garff Nissan. As we were looking, Tony Knighton approached and asked how he could help us. From that time forward, until we drove off a day and a half later with our new 2014 Rogue, we were treated with the upmost respect, kindness and patience with "no pressure", but with sincere concern. We were just going over all the options Nissan had to offer with Tony, when his partner John Elswood, listening and giving support to our conversation said, "have you tried our Rogue?, I think it will be just what you want !!! We really asked tons of questions and were given informed answers. Three test drives later and wanting a white one, they found a white one from another dealership. We came back the next day and purchased that SUV. With out sounding too corny, these two men were able to forget their "commissions" and attend to us, our needs, and concerns. They treated us like they had all the time in the world to make sure we were happy. All I can say is that our experience with Orem Nissan was great!! WE WILL BE BACK !!!! Thanks again, D & G More

My family informed me of a sale on the Nissan Probe Select and I went to Ken Garff in Orem, Utah to test drive this vehicle. Mr. Jose Feliz was very patient and spent over 4 hours explaining the vehicle, taking me for a test drive, and making sure I was pleased with the vehicle overall before making the purchase. I truly dislike buying new vehicles, but Mr. Feliz was extremely helpful and made this a very pleasant experience. Plus, I'm loving my new SUV. M. Fisher, Orem, Utah More
Very Disappointed at the Service Center My "Check Service Engine" light came on, and I just happened to have a coupon for a free diagnostic check. Those things usually take 5 minutes, but I My "Check Service Engine" light came on, and I just happened to have a coupon for a free diagnostic check. Those things usually take 5 minutes, but I didn't have an appointment, and they were really busy, so they said come back in 3 hours (understandable, since I didn't have an appointment). I can back 4 hours, they still weren't done, and made me wait another 2 hours! (6 hours to plug a machine in and check what the problem was!) (should have been my first warning sign!) They told me the problem was the manifold, and gave me a quote (reasonable, as I went to two other places). For my car though, I looked online, and a lot of other owners were having an issue, so apparently Nissan issued an extended warranty on the part. I asked them about this, and they said never heard anything, but didn't even take the time to look it up in the computer. Second warning sign. They said they had to order the parts in, and that might take a couple days, so I scheduled an appointment for the following week. The day before I was suppose to go in, I called to check if the part had come in, and they said it hadn't, but it might come the next day, so call back. I called back the next day, and they said only 2/3 of the parts were in. I called AGAIN the 3rd day, and they said still only 2/3 of the parts were in. I was getting a little frustrated at this point because I had called so many times. They called me back within 15 minutes and told me they could maybe do the repair without the 3rd part. I was a little confused about this, because although I don't know that much about cars, i didn't want them to try to cut corners on my repair. I said I would wait for the 3rd part to get in, and I was going out of town anyway, I said I would wait for the following week, and made an appointment for the following week. This time, over 2 weeks had passed since the initial inspection, so i assumed the parts would have arrived. When i got there at 9:40 (my appointment was at 9:30, so I was 10 minutes late), even though they said it was only going to be a 3 hour repair, they told me the mechanics were all busy, and they wouldn't have it done until 5PM (6PM the LATEST). I was annoyed because I was coming back and forth so many times, and had to get rides from friends each time. I wanted to get it over with, so I said okay. At 5:45, the dealership calls me and tells me there is a problem... apparently, they switched the manifold, but there was a problem with the new one, so they had to order a new. He tells me they ordered a new one (overnight), and tried to make me feel better by telling me the service center was going to cover the "overnight" charge. Of course they would! That's not something extra... don't try to patronize me! Now I'm having to make ANOTHER appointment, and I'm kind of sick of dealing with these people. I've worn gym clothes the past few times I've gone, so maybe I look like poor, and they don't treat me as a priority, or maybe they see me as a woman (and younger), so they aren't really treating me like a priority? Either way I'm really sick of dealing with these sleazy mechanics who do not view me as a paying customer. Either way, I'm very disappointed. I've decided I'm just done with them, and will take my businesses elsewhere. Be warned, they will not treat you with respect. More
