They told me that I needed to replace the catalytic converters. $2000.00 to replace them. I ended up not having the repair done because at the time I could not afford it. I drove my xterra like that for well over a year. Finally I had had enough of the noise so I took it to Ray's Muffler based upon a friends recommendation. After they looked over my xterra they said a new muffler would fix the problem. THEY WERE RIGHT!!! $200.00 for a new muffler and the noise is gone. KEN GARFF SUCKS!!! More

However, when it comes to sales, it's been a disappointment every time. The last time I went there for a sales appointment, the salesman never showed. My husband went there on Saturday to look at the 2012 Nissan Altima and they pressured him, trying to get him to pay $9,000 more than they posted online for it. I do not appreciate how sales tries to scam you by talking low monthly payments but extends the life of the loan; they also promised to match the bank's interest rate, but when it came time to sign the papers, the rate had increased. If you decide to purchase a car here, review all your paperwork to ensure you are getting the price and interest rate you agree to. More

It puzzles me as to why it took close to THREE weeks for your loan to clear. Never once have I tried to get a loan without supplying my income verification at the time I wanted to purchase a vehicle ( that's just common sense ) if I wanted the vehicle by time I left that same day!!! Shame on you for not having prvided required information in a timely fashion and trying to ruin a reputable business. K. Archibald More
BEWARE!!!! Do NOT buy a car here! I came into this dealership on JULY 18, 2015. I traded in a car after much headache and frustration over the littlest requests. After driving the car I purchased for 18 days, I still had NO contact from Ken Garff's financing department, their sales assoc, or my credit union. After several phone calls to Ken Garff and multiple calls to my financial institution, I was informed that the credit union was waiting for proof of income that they had requested from Ken Garff. This was never requested from me. They also informed me that they deal solely with Ken Garff once paperwork is signed with them. My payment for the trade-in that Ken Garff agreed to payoff was due on JULY 28, 2015. After checking on my car loan today, I noticed that the trade in loan has STILL NOT BEEN PAID OFF!! Yet my new loan had FINALLY funded 18 days after signing paperwork. This only happened due to the last phone call I had made to piece together the information my credit union needed that Ken Garff wasn't requesting me or providing to them. I called Ken Garff today, I was told AGAIN that the person I worked with in the finance department was out and I would need to leave yet another message or call him back. I asked to speak to someone else in the finance department. The person I spoke with agreed to look into why a payoff hadn't been issued. I requested a call back with the information. When he called back and left a message, he informed me that the payoff will be sent TODAY!!!!!!! Did I mention I made this purchase on JULY 18, 2015 and it is now AUG 6, 2015. I am currently considered 10 days late on my payment to my credit union for a car I DON'T EVEN OWN!!!!! He then proceeded to place blame on ME, saying there was a delay due to the information they were needing. THEY NEVER CALLED ME FOR ANY INFORMATION!!!!! Do NOT buy a car here.......RUN THE OTHER WAY! So she decided to get a second opinion... my brother downloaded a app for free and ran a scan. Turns out it was a Transmission Range Sensor $100, he replaced it and it runs better than ever. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! She called them and they blamed it on a new employee "/ full of crap!!! More

This was my second experience working with this shop. The traction slip indicator light was on constantly in my 2006 Titan. I stopped by the service department to leave the truck for diagnosis. When I explained the problem, the service advisor asked if the brake indicator light was also on. I said it had just started coming on today, while the traction slip light had been a problem for a week or so. He said "it's probably just low brake fluid". We popped the hood and the brake fluid reservoir was about half full. He grabbed a bottle of brake fluid and filled the reservoir. The lights are now off! I fully expected a diagnosis of the electrical system, with the associated cost, but he offered this simple solution which solved the problem. When I asked him the cost, he said "no charge"! Would any other dealership's service department do that? Great experience Ken Garff Nissan, I'll be back. More
Warning! Do not buy from this Stealer - Dealer Called about a used car, was told the car had a 125 point inspection done and was in great condition. Drove the car noticed a bit of pull to the right while braking and that the tires look like they may not pass inspection. As part of the offer for the car I signed a sales contract that included front brakes, checking that the tires would pass inspection or be changed and an oil change. I Was called the next day and told that all 4 brakes were bad, as were the tires and an axle shaft to the point it wouldn't pass safety inspection. They wanted me to pay half the cost of repairs. I reminded them we agreed on the car passing safety inspection as part of the sales contract, and asked how if the car had been through a 125 point inspection these items could have been missed. Brad told me the car hadn't actually gone through the 125 point inspection. I said I wouldn't help pay for the repairs. The sales person didn't call me or return my calls the next day. When I finally reach him he said they agreed to do the repairs. I ask if they were going to try and low ball the work, he said no they would use BMW parts and do the job right. My son drove the 95 mile round trip to this dealer to pick up the car. When he got home I noticed they had only changed the front two tires and the oil level was 1 quart low and looked dirty. This car is a 4 WD car and the two rear tires we at 3 and 4 mm compared to the 10 mm new on the front. 4 WD cars need to have even wear tires front and rear. I called Brad the salesman 4 times today, left a message did not get a call back. I have scheduled an oil change and bought 4 new tires to avoid causing damage to the 4 WD system. This dealer has no integrity, is totally dishonest. Do yourself a favor don't buy from this place. NO YOU DON'T HEAR ME!! More

I wanted 17,000 for my trade in ( like new condition) with the vehicle being sold on lot for 22,000. Ken Garff told me the very best they could do was 14,500 for a trade in with buying a used vehicle. I spoke for hours with the salesman he just couldn't get it through his head I wanted 17,000. They refused to budge or work with me even though I'm a return customer and they showed me the door. I ended up leaving and getting 17,000 at a local dealership that we've done business with before. Now all of this wouldn't be enough for me to write a review it's what the salesman told me when I sent him a email citing it was a little ridiculous that they couldn't work with me and a local car lot fell hands over head to get me where I need to be (by the way I have a 760 credit score). The salesman told me "I wouldn't make assumptions about your line of work so don't make assumptions about mine, we obliviously can't do business now". We hear you? I think not. Sales Manager’s bad attitude! Recently I purchased a brand new 2014 Altima from Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale at 615 West Riverdale Rd. in Riverdale Utah. I selected that particular dealer (even though it’s an hour drive each way for me) because they had the Altima in a color I wanted. The next day I made an appointment with their Service Department to get an accessory installed in my Altima. When I showed up to this appointment I found out that they didn’t even order the parts! So I drove two hours to make this appointment for nothing. Big waste of time! When I later filled out the Nissan survey I was honest about what happened. At that time I still felt that Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale was a good service oriented dealer (despite the simple mistake they made), however, I wanted to mention this problem in the survey so the Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale was aware of it and could use this information to improve their customer service. And, after all, the survey was supposed to be anonymous right?! About a week after I purchased my Altima I realized that there was a safety problem with my front windshield. It seems that the front windshield has thousands of micro pits in it. I guess that during the transport the truck/car drove through a sandstorm and that sandstorm “sandblasted” the front windshield. I didn’t notice the problem until about a week after I purchased the car and I drove my car into the sun early in the morning. When the sun in low on the horizon all these micro pits catch the sun like a thousand stars! The result is that it’s like looking through a frosted glass. Makes it difficult to see anything! Thus the safety issue! I didn’t get to Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale until a little more than a week after that because of the travel time (about an hour) and the difficulty of getting time off workl After all, it’s only a problem when I’m driving into a low sun. The main problem is, when I finally made my way up there and I talked to the Sales Manager about it, his attitude was hostile and contentious! He told me that because of my poor review (he stated that I “trashed them”) he wasn’t going to help me and Ken Graff Nissan Riverdale would not be doing any warranty or service work for me either! In summary, I purchased a $31,000.00 car at Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale, drove miles out of my way to do it and because I gave an honest appraisal on the survey I was suddenly the enemy!!! Are you kidding?! I DESERVE MUCH BETTER THAN THAT! This Sales Manager’s hostile, contentious attitude belongs more in a WWF wrestling ring than a customer service oriented organization like Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale! By the way, this survey was supposed to be “confidential”. Not only did the Sales Manager know that I was the one who filled out the “trashing” survey he even repeated to me some of my written answers! Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t these surveys are supposed to help the dealership toward better service not be a tool to find out which customer to wage REVENGE against?! More
