On March 20, 2025, I purchased a service contract and warranty from Lexus of Santa Barbara and immediately cancelled both with the finance manager, Ezequiel Maciel. Despite his assurance of a refund with warranty from Lexus of Santa Barbara and immediately cancelled both with the finance manager, Ezequiel Maciel. Despite his assurance of a refund within one month, I have been repeatedly misled and have yet to receive my money back. Following the cancellation, I spent weeks attempting to get a written confirmation from Mr. Maciel via calls, emails, and texts, but received no response. After finally contacting him on April 27th, he informed me the cancellation had been processed but the refund would take another month. On May 15th, Mr. Maciel emailed me a photocopy of a check he claimed was mailed. Shockingly, this check was made payable to "PNC Bank" and not to me. Despite my immediate attempts to contact him about this clear error, he stopped responding. To make matters worse, a new and fraudulent charge of $3,981.00 for a "REBILL" appeared on my card on June 25, long after the cancellation. The dealership has been completely unhelpful in resolving this, and my refund remains outstanding. This entire experience has been a masterclass in poor customer service and deceptive practices. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a service or warranty from this dealership to proceed with extreme caution. More
