Six years ago we had no room to be picky & they got us into a very nice Mazda 3 that we loved for years. Today, (I wish our credit situation was better, but it’s not) they got us into a very nice Subaru SUV that we were so proud to drive home. These people care! Totally different sales people from six years ago but the culture is the same. We will go there next time too! Thank you, Ken Garff Hyundai! We are so happy with our new car! Service dept: They almost got me stranded!! DO NOT take your vehicle to Ken Garff Hyundai downtown! I am Female. I took my 2005 Hyundai to them for a recall (new straps for gas tank) and decided DO NOT take your vehicle to Ken Garff Hyundai downtown! I am Female. I took my 2005 Hyundai to them for a recall (new straps for gas tank) and decided to also have them do my emissions test and registration as it is due this month. Less than 1 hour after leaving their facility in my car, my check engine light came on. Shortly thereafter the engine totally quit on me. Fortunately I was where I needed to be and coasted into a parking space. When I came out the car started up just fine, but I decided to head home and switch vehicles because the check engine light was still on. I made it from SLC to Bountiful MACU. As I was leaving the drive up, the engine quit again, forcing me to coast down a tiny hill into a parking space again! I waited a few minutes and the car started up again just fine. I quickly drove home and parked it. I then called the service guy, Jake Bussio, and asked him "What did you do to my car?" They had told me on this big sheet of paper that I needed to change my timing belt ($550) and that my Left front axle seal is leaking ($220). He said that they would give me a free tow back to their facility on Tuesday and check it out; and would call me before any repairs were done. After talking with my husband, we decided to take my car to Auto Zone in Bountiful on Memorial Day 2018. (THEY are awesome! 1st, they are open on a holiday; 2nd, they read codes for FREE!) The code showed "Massive Air Flow Failure". The guy popped open my hood, and as I was standing there I noticed as he was pointing out what could cause that code that the ENTIRE AIR FLOW TOP WAS CROOKED AND UNLATCHED! The Auto Zone guy re-latched it for me, and told me the code should reset and I was good to go. My car was running Just Fine before I took it into these Garff guys. I will NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO KEN GARFF DOWNTOWN AGAIN!! They caused me undue stress, I could have been stranded on the highway, and they tried to rip me off on repairs!! BEWARE!! More

Getting a good quality basic car with a fair amount of warranty backing is all that I really needed and wound up getting. Added to that, my sales rep was pretty much on point with my wants and needs and didn't try any high pressure techniques. Just a couple to a few papers to sign and I'm out the door with more debt LOL More

I purchased a Genesis from out of state with less than 10,000 miles and p Overall very poor experience with Ken Garff Hyundai in Slat Lake City, Utah. I purchased a Genesis from out of state with less than 10,000 miles and paid over $30,000, so I had certain expectations. When it arrived it only had one key, it was completely filthy(I looked at photos from when the delivery driver picked the vehicle up), the gas tank was empty, it had no floor mats, the sales person Anthony wouldn’t call back after the purchase and when getting my registration they under paid $176(but agreed to pay “all transfer/title fees). Individually they are pretty minor issues but then no response from the dealership when trying to address them is where it gets frustrating. All I know is they contacted me many more times before I purchased the vehicle than when I was calling to address my issues. After getting forwarded to the customer service representative she assured me she would call back the next day to deal with things, but still hasn’t followed up. There are MANY dealerships out there so I highly recommend you don’t purchase from Ken Garff Hyundai in Salt Lake City and take your business elsewhere. More
