When I first entered the store I was met by several salesmen but Brett Nielsen stood out because he stepped out of line, smiled and asked me how he could help me. I told him I was just looking for a n salesmen but Brett Nielsen stood out because he stepped out of line, smiled and asked me how he could help me. I told him I was just looking for a new car but wasn't sure what I wanted. He asked me questions about my needs, how much I drive, family size. Instead of taking me to "the special of the day," and TELLING me what I wanted, he listened and wrote down what I told him I need. Wow! No one, especially a car salesman has ever done that before. I feel like he cared about what I might need. Thank you! I have told others about my experience. It makes a difference! More

He handled the repair, washed the car, and due to our schedules accommodated us very well. I would recommend Nate. Our experience was outstanding. He provided a great service for us. Thank you! More
Things started out great.. they were friendly and said they would match my internet price from another dealer, but they complained and lectured me about the low price. (hey, dont tell me you're losing mon they would match my internet price from another dealer, but they complained and lectured me about the low price. (hey, dont tell me you're losing money and then agree to the sale) They did return calls when they said they would and the day I was to buy the car they called me and said they had just sold it... No biggie, my fault I could'nt get there sooner. They said they would find me my 1st or 2nd choice, called me back later and said sorry there are no cars those colors around anywhere. As we were talking, I asked Todd to please call me if they ran across one and I would come back in and buy it... Before I could even finish my sentence, the salesman cut me off and said "I gotta go, I gotta go!!" Then he hung the phone up on my ear without even as much as a goodbye.. just hung up on me..xxx! Poor customer service! Hey I get it.. you are going to make more money from those who don't do research. So, once he had no use for me, his customer service skills go by the wayside and he hangs up on me!! Well, that motivated me to jump in my car, drive to SLC Ken Garff and as I pulled into the parking lot, what do I see? Both my 1st and 2nd choice colors... xxx! How hard was that? Within the first 10 min they areed to match my internet price from another dealer, without the lecture or crying poor us, we're losing money in this deal. The customer service at Ken Garff SLC was top of the line and classy! Do what I should have done from the start.. Go downtown SLC and see why they have the best customer service awards. Or let OREM KG salesman use his GREAT customer service skills to hang up on you mid sentence! If you have to hang up on someone mid-sentence, at least have the courtasy to call them back and explain. Thanks Orem KG for the motivation, we are now driving a new car and sending our friends and family to SLC KG for all their car needs! More

I was sucked into buying a car I did not want... the model I wanted was not available at this dealer, they have me test a similar vehicle and was told they would get one for me with the features I wanted model I wanted was not available at this dealer, they have me test a similar vehicle and was told they would get one for me with the features I wanted, the sales man sweeten the deal by throwing some "free" window tint and a few hundred dollars off; come to find out that the car being sold to me, has the tint already on it and is priced below the discounted price I was offered. The car-sales man lie to my face when he offer to personally make sure the tint was done quickly, and his discount price is almost 2k more than the INTERNET pricing from the other dealer; part of the Kent Garff family. I will most definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone. More
Before I had a horrible experience with a salesman who, like salesmen do, built value to work to be performed after the sale, and I spelled out what it would take to make me happy and what those services w like salesmen do, built value to work to be performed after the sale, and I spelled out what it would take to make me happy and what those services were, spelled out on paper. Easy home run for the sales guy. Long story short, we didn't feel we were taken care of at all after we voiced our concern that the service rendered did not align with the price we paid to that value with the expectancy of service. The sales guy couldn't care less, and still doesn't. HOWEVER, Wendell Wood, their online marketing director, contacted me directly via Twitter in response to my negative online reviews, and took our car in, fixed the problem, hooked me up with a courtesy car (2012 Civic with 3 miles on it to drive to salt lake and back in), and sweetened the deal with dinner for me and my wife, knowing she wasn't so pleased with the deal and it was her car. Top notch response by someone keen to make a customer happy, what that does for a company's customer base, and how great reviews and news spreads like wildfire on the internet as well. Get it on paper with your sales person. If they screw you, they'll hear about it as it costs the company more later to make nice than to be one with integrity from the get go. I think most people just get mad and shrug it off, and salesmen know this. Stand for your rights, and use your public-facing tools to give the company a chance to be absolutely wonderful, like Ken Garff turned out to be. More
Got suckered into buying a 2007 Honda Civic for more than I could afford. After realizing that I couldn't afford the payments, I took the car back and Todd basically told me "sorry, you're screwed." Now, a m I could afford. After realizing that I couldn't afford the payments, I took the car back and Todd basically told me "sorry, you're screwed." Now, a month later, I have been calling the dealership and leaving messages for weeks because I haven't received license plates or proof that I even got financed yet, and my temporary tags are expired. Nobody will take my calls or return them. Tomorrow I am going to take the car back and demand my down payment back because they didn't get the car licensed by the time they said they would. More
Worst experience ever! We took our new Honda Pilot in for service (a quick oil change and tire rotation). The price quoted was a higher than other service shops, but we thought we'd give a dealership a for service (a quick oil change and tire rotation). The price quoted was a higher than other service shops, but we thought we'd give a dealership a try. BIG mistake. We called ahead and they said they could have it done in an hour. So we dropped it off at 10 am and my husband called at 11:30 am to make sure it was done and pay, as I was on my way to pick it up. They told him they hadn't even started the service. The Pilot was still parked exactly where we had left it. We were leaving town and needed the vehicle right then. I walked in and politely told them I was there for the Pilot and the receptionist smiled and laughed and pointed to a guy that was talking on the phone. He smirked and dangled the keys out in front of him. I took the keys and walked out. I couldn't believe how they could find it funny that we might be a little upset about being told they would have our vehicle completed and yet hadn't even touched it. It was insulting. I will never step foot on their lot again. More
I was only there for a few minutes but have never felt more insulted in my life. First, Ren was busy at our scheduled appointment time. That's not a huge deal, things happen and he got busy. He did person more insulted in my life. First, Ren was busy at our scheduled appointment time. That's not a huge deal, things happen and he got busy. He did personally introduce me to his partner I'm not sure on his name, but I think it was Rusty or something like that. I mentioned that I'd spent some time in Korea with the military and he told about him having served a mission there. After showing me a couple of cars, (which were all filthy dirty by the way, especially the Versas) he told me that even though I had pre-arranged financing with USAA (my bank) I would undergo ANOTHER credit check. This one to verify who I am and to "make sure I'm not a terrorist" There is nothing in your credit report that would or wouldn't make you a terrorist, and is not in anyway required to verify Identity. So, lets start off with how to insult a soldier in the US Army. Start by questioning his loyalty to his country by saying he might be a terrorist and they need to check it out to make sure. Second, assuming he's ignorant/stupid enough to fall for that line. Third; simply not being honest. If there's another reason for the check, then fine. I know it's not needed to complete a sale or to verify who I am, and I for sure know that my status as a citizen in good standing is not verified by the credit check. Bottom Line: He lied. He didn't angle the truth, or twist it a bit, he flat out bold face lied to me. If you don't have the fortitude to simply say what's going on, then you are exactly the reason that people hate dealing with car Salesmen. I gave you guys a try because I talked to Ren on the online chat and he seemed straight forward enough to give you guys a shot. MY HOPE is that I just got bad luck in who I got assigned to take care of me. Either way, no way in heck I'd ever recommend you guys to anyone for anything. More
