My experience with Ken Garff Honda has been wonderful. Tyler has been a very attentive, involved salesman. He listened to what I wanted, and did a comprehensive search for the vehicle I desired. Overall Tyler has been a very attentive, involved salesman. He listened to what I wanted, and did a comprehensive search for the vehicle I desired. Overall, the dealership seems well run. Emails I received initially were informative, without being overwhelming. I would recommend Ken Garff Honda for your next vehicle purchase. More
I had a terrible experience shopping at Ken Garff Honda Riverdale. After having compared prices for a new Honda Fit at several dealerships I decided to drive over two hours to visit the Riverdale team, pas Riverdale. After having compared prices for a new Honda Fit at several dealerships I decided to drive over two hours to visit the Riverdale team, passing multiple Honda dealerships on the way up. Once in Ogden I met with Jess Wright and got him to commit to the deal we made over the phone, and had him shake my hand. After taking a look at the car, we went inside to do the paperwork, and when it came time to sign the price was $500 more than we shook on. When I asked him what was going on he replied that he never made an agreement with me, and that I must have misunderstood him. When my two witnesses who were there with me during the entire ordeal confirmed that he had committed to the price, not once, not twice, but three times he also accused them of being liars. Obviously I wasn't about to do business with crooks, so I walked out, only to receive verbal abuse from the Salesmen, and the Sales Manager as I was walking to my vehicle. I would not recommend Ken Garff Honda Riverdale to anybody worst car shopping experience I have had in my life. If you want to play games and get yanked around Riverdale is the place to go, but if you want good service, and to talk to somebody you can trust go somewhere else. More

All I have to say about this dealership is that they have the staff to make it happen. Last year I purchased a Honda Civic from this dealership, which was my first purchase from them. Then just last week, I the staff to make it happen. Last year I purchased a Honda Civic from this dealership, which was my first purchase from them. Then just last week, I totaled that car and by the next morning, Charlene Veeder in Sales had set me up with Theresa Block at Kornerstone Administrative Services, so that Theresa could handle my Gap Insurance on my totaled car. Theresa communicated with my Auto Loan Insurance Company and they worked side by side, updating me every day via email. Theresa Block took care of EVERYTHING related to my insurance. She went through the list of required items, which was a lengthy list, and had everything done by the next day. Theresa told me, "You don't need to wait to buy your new car until this is done. If you have your new car picked out, you just mention my name to Isaac in Financing, they all know who I am. I've got you covered, and you can go purchase your new car anytime!" After test driving and selecting my new Honda Civic I wanted to purchase, Charlene got the General Manager to approve giving me 3 years of free routine maintenance on my new car, because of an issue I had with their service department last year. The dealership took my feelings very seriously, and told me that it was important to them to secure me as a lifetime customer. Charlene is hands down the one who made that happen. There is a reason she is rated as one of the top car salesman in Utah. She told me that she takes pride in breaking the M.O. of the stereotypical salesman, and she did just that. I totaled my car on a Wednesday night, and walked out the door with my 2012 Honda Civic six days later all thanks to the wonderful team at this dealership. My Gap Insurance I purchased through this dealership even paid my deductible, so I was out of pocket nothing after my accident. Charlene got my new car detailed and gassed up for me, then Isaac in financing had me out the door in 20 minutes. He remembered me from when I purchased my other Honda Civic last year. He told me, "I've been here 17 years, and if you need anything, you don't hesitate to call. We care about our customers." Charlene, Theresa and Isaac know what they're doing, and I know that I would not have been able to get this type of excellent customer service without the impeccable turn-around time that all 3 of these individuals offered me. This is the reason they average a million in gross sales each month, because they know what they're doing and their customer service is top notch Considering how picky of a customer I am, I would never go anywhere else. "Clean" experience. I took my "car friend" to a Subaru lot just down the street hoping to get into a Suby, and lets just say that it didn't go so well... after leaving their lot we hea friend" to a Subaru lot just down the street hoping to get into a Suby, and lets just say that it didn't go so well... after leaving their lot we headed to Ken Garff Honda and grabbed a sales guy and started looking around. The sales guy asked me some questions about what I was looking for in my next car, spec and features and capabilities. He listened well, showed me some cars and while walking around the lot I spied the car that really got my attention. I asked him some questions about it and sofar it was meeting my needs and at an AMAZING price. We took it for a spin and I fell in love with it. The funny thing is that he didn't try to sell me x car or y car, but just kinda told me about them as we walked by, never stopping at one for him to try to cram it down my throat, nope never happened. These guys then go and wrestle with some creditors and banks to get me a loan at an amazing interest rate. Let's just say that it all worked out pretty dang well! No sharks and the ads are true, these guys really do listen!! More
Our car shopping experience with "other" dealerships, had left us dreading to shop for a car. At Ken Garff Honda of Riverdale we were pleasantly surprised when we asked to please not be pre dealerships, had left us dreading to shop for a car. At Ken Garff Honda of Riverdale we were pleasantly surprised when we asked to please not be pressured, we weren't! They made it easy, comfortable and when they didn't have exactly what we were looking for, Abram let us know when they did. He was pleasant, friendly, and knowledgable. We would recommend him to any of our friends. When we finally selected a used car, it had just been traded in and hadnt been through their detailing shop and inspection. We purchased the car and had to wait for a couple of days before we could receive it. It had a tiny chip in the windshield. We asked if they could please make sure it had been sealed correctly, and to our suprise when we picked up the car, they had replaced the windshield! It was beautiful, full of gas, and had had an oil change. I was thoroughly happy with the total experience. Thanks Abram Hardy, and the entire staff at Ken Garff Honda! We will be back for our next vehicle. More
I have never been so offended by the business practices at a dealership before. My father was a car dealer and this was my first experiencing shopping the Salt Lake City area for vehicles. I went back an at a dealership before. My father was a car dealer and this was my first experiencing shopping the Salt Lake City area for vehicles. I went back and forth between Ken Garff Nissan, Christopher Nissan and was here looking for a Honda Pilot. We found the vehicle we were interested in and had the salesman start working the numbers. Another customer came in inquiring about the vehicle about 30-40 minutes after we came in, test drove the vehicle, and were working on a potential purchase. This man was working with another salesperson, Charlene Veeder, and test drove the vehicle after us. They then proceeded to start paperwork with this other potential customer while we were working with them. We had a blank check and 110% LTV we were working with. They pressured us into filling out a credit application with them and having them run our credit to seek potentially better options. The finance manager stated that the inquiry wouldn't affect my credit score which was a lie. The dealership must make money on financing with certain financial companies as they were pushing this hard. While I was looking over the numbers I had them go back and tell them we could pay for the sales tax on the vehicle so we could work the deal with the LTV we had to work with and he stated he would go back and have them run the numbers that way. While he was "consulting" with his manager, I overheard the other salesperson Charlene Veeder go back and tell the other guy that everything was approved and that they would have the same Honda Pilot we were trying to purchase ready in 20-30 minutes. The salesperson came back (I believe his name was Tyler) and stated that they couldn't do that because their "policy" stated they had to pay the sales tax and it had to be included in the final loan amount. I previously had two other Ken Garff dealers tell me this was fine and I ended up doing it at Christopher Nissan where I ended up buying my car. I argued that point with them, which they were firm was a "policy". I then asked to speak to the manager and they referred me to Andrew Garcia. I spoke with him about this and he kept referring to the policy that they couldn't work the deal because I couldn't take care of the sales tax myself (which was incorrect). My main concern and upset was over the fact that they were lying to me the whole time when they already closed the deal with the other customer in the very next cubicle! Apparently this is business as usual with Ken Garff Honda of Riverdale. Very unimpressed and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! More
The worst experience I've ever had in my life. Do not buy from Ken Garff. I bought a car that was 2 years old and was just out of the manufacturers warranty. First the salesmen told me the car was $1,500 buy from Ken Garff. I bought a car that was 2 years old and was just out of the manufacturers warranty. First the salesmen told me the car was $1,500 cheaper than it actually was. I fell in love with the car right away because I thought I was getting a great deal. Then when it was time to sign the papers, thats when I seen the price I was quoted was incorrect. They would not give me the price I was quoted. They just told me it was an error on their part and they couldn't do anything about it. So I bought the car. Two weeks later, different lights start coming on in the car. They won't help me because I bought it without any warranty. Two months later, I still didn't have my plates. I had to go in to the dealership 3 different times to get temporary tags because they couldn't get the correct VIN. Come to find out, they bought it from an auction and made a killing on what they charged me for it. 3 months after I bought it, I took it in for an oil change. After I left the dealership, the thing just about fell apart on me. Not sure what they did, but I was stuck on the side of the road with a broke down car. I had to get a tow truck to tow it back to Ken Garff......................The worst car buying and maintenance experience I've ever had. I will never buy anything from Ken Garff again!!! More
We loved Abram as a salesman! He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we were looking at. He was helpful, patient, and eager to please without being pushy, or condescending. He worked very hard to fi about the vehicle we were looking at. He was helpful, patient, and eager to please without being pushy, or condescending. He worked very hard to find us what we were looking for. We own two Honda vehicles and absolutely love them both. We would definitely buy another car from Abram at this dealership. More
This car dealership is the real deal. I have never seen any kind of business this honest. The car we bought from them had problems with the waterpump. We called them after the purchase and told them about any kind of business this honest. The car we bought from them had problems with the waterpump. We called them after the purchase and told them about it. They offered to fix it no cost to us. We were skeptical at first but, decided we had no other options. Not only did they replace the waterpump but, the engine mount and something on the alternator as well. Ken Garff Honda is great and, I highly recommend them. More
