Ken Garff Ford Hyundai Toyota Cheyenne responded

Mr. Skycop we are always thankful for the opportunity to correct a problem when we have not met a customer's expectations as well as take the corrective action necessary to resolve any and all issues you may have found. We here at Spradley Barr Motors stand behind all of our work and feel very strongly about achieving complete customer satisfaction. As to the repairs actually performed on your 2002 Ford F150: After speaking extensively with our Body Shop Manager about the work we performed, we found that this vehicle upon arrival was deemed a total loss through your respective Insurance Company and that you had requested we please work with you in order to keep this vehicle on the road. We made certain price concessions as a favor to you in order to earn your business as well as aid you in being able to keep your vehicle as an insurable asset. Due to the extremely large volume of vehicles needing repair in the Cheyenne area because of the two large damaging hail storms that occurred within 10 days of each other, we were purely unable to get your vehicle in any sooner than we did, May of 2012. In order to help with the damages cost and in order to keep you vehicle from totaling out, your insurance company did not authorize to have the vehicle completely refinished. Your insurance does opt to use paintless dent removal where ever possible to also help cut down on repair costs, and yes during that operation two trim pieces were damaged. We ordered new pieces and this is where we admit the ball was dropped. One of these two items was on national backorder and when the part did come in, we failed to contact you. In regards to the clear coat over your bumper pads, we had to replace your old bug shield with a newer version as the old model was obsolete, because this new shield did not line up exactly is why there is a discoloration. We also did not refinish the area at the front of the fenders where the old bumpers touched. We did credit you in full ($1301.67) for not repairing the topper as we do not work on fiberglass here at our facility. Your out of pocket credit card charge was ($4412.11) for a $10292.08 job. Yes we did fail to contact you in a timely fashion when the two trim pieces arrived, but we feel very strongly that the repairs performed on this 12 year old vehicle were completed at or above industry standards. Our owner has tried contacting you directly in order to discuss these issues with you, but has had no success in speaking with you. We would love the opportunity to talk about this matter with you as well as see if there is anything more we can do in order to assure you are completely satisfied.

I did not get 1301.67 refund for the topper. I I take very good care of my vehicles and this whold process was somewhat fustrating. I know the Insurance company did pay with a check on top of the charge to my credit card. I will double check with my insurance company and get back to you. I am sure they should have a copy of the deposited draft. It was more thatn 4412.11 in cost for a 10K+job.

The original claim was $ 5,713.78. Dated 7/23/2011. Your claim was $ 10,169.54. Dated 3/21/2012. You deposited a check from my Insurance company for $4,455.76 which cleared on3/27/2012. Plus my $4,412.11 that I paid out of pocket for a total of $ 8867.87. Add in the amount of the refund for not completing the topper of $1301.67 and you get the full cost of your orginal estimate of $10169.54. So you are not correct on your facts. I will contact my insurance company with all this information and see what they want to do. I have tried for over almost two years to settle this and work with your body shop. It is obvious you are being decived or are not knowlegeable on what is going on at your dealership.
