After the car was started I noticed that the clock was not advancing and one window would not move to the full up position. I took the car to Spradley-Barr for battery replacement and to look at the clock and window. I was told that the computer that operates the windows needed to be reset, $75. So the way I look at it I have a car that requires at least $75 more service above the battery replacement when ever it drains. Batteries die, you can count on it. I don’t know what the designers were thinking when they were doing their job on this one. If this is the case at least reset the computer at no charge. Spradley-Barr reset my clock. Why not the window computer? This is probably a Ford Motor issue. How about it Ford? UPDATE!!! MUST READ It has been 3 days since service and my original review. Guess what? I got a call from Katelyn at Spradley-Barr checking to see that I was satisfied with the service. I explained that I thought if discharged batteries are going to result in computer resets then the charge for the reset should be waived. She agreed and spoke to the service manager and got him to agree to and we negotiated a partial refund for the repairs. Well done Spradley-Barr, well done!! More

Great, timely service ! I have used Spradley-Barr for several years now. Nothing has ever gone wrong or been amiss ! Oil changes, troubleshooting unusual noises or anything. Broke down out of state towed my truck there friday afternoon and explained my situation. Was told truck wouldn't be looked at till monday. Checked in on saturday and was told they would try to diagnos afternoon and explained my situation. Was told truck wouldn't be looked at till monday. Checked in on saturday and was told they would try to diagnose my truck that day. Called saturday afternoon to get an update and was told I wouldn't get an update until monday because my service advisor had the day off. 10:00 monday I call to ask if they finished my diagnosis and I was told the mechanic that worked on my truck saturday had Monday off and I wouldn't know anything until Tuesday. This is really convenient since I'm stuck out of town with hotel and rental car just to find out the mechanic is on days off. An update on saturday would have saved me 2 days extra travel since I had to drive home without my truck monday. An update on monday would be helpful and thoughtful as well. I had to initiate communication Monday to get the good news. I was finally contacted tuesday with a diagnosis of a failed PCM with a $1700 repair estimate. I declined the repair and made arrangements to have my vehicle towed home.I called my local ford dealer and the estimate to repair a failed PCM was $850 I am doing the repair myself sending my PCM in for repairs for a total of $130. That is if the original diagnosis is even true. Not impressed with the lack of communication, the multiple day delay due to lack of communication, and the predatory pricing which makes me wonder if I got the broke down out of town rate. $400 to r&r a pcm which is literally a 5 minute job and to program the new pcm which my local dealer charges $95.i used to think my local ford dealer was expensive. Boy did I get a lesson. More
