Horrible service department. Took our 2018 F 150 truck in for warranty work and they wouldn't honor our extended warranty! Service department manager, Luis, was not willing to work with us. I cannot recommend this dealer at all. Similar to other reviews posted here and elsewhere, we were sold a used car "from the lot". Our salesman Geordon Wroten (and the son of the general manager Jack Wrote reviews posted here and elsewhere, we were sold a used car "from the lot". Our salesman Geordon Wroten (and the son of the general manager Jack Wroten) assured us that every car sold from the lot has undergone a thorough mechanical inspection and has no known defects. After one month and about 350 miles of driving, the issues started: replace engine oil cooler, replace DPF, fix oil leaks, replace turbocharger, replace valve cover gaskets, replace glow plugs, ... On top of the purchase price of $18,800 + taxes we spent about $13,000 for repairs. At least half of them should have been done by Spradley Barr (SB hereafter) before even considering selling a truck with "no known mechanical issues". On top of that, the truck was sold without providing us with an emissions certificate at the time of sale (required for Diesel vehicles) and the title was issued to us too late (nearly 60 days after the purchase; this was because they didn't even have the title at the time of sale, as the investigation by the Colorado Auto Industry Division AID showed - SB received a violation notice for the late title). To make matters worse, SB showed its worst side when we contacted them for the emissions certificate and for asking whether there is anything they could do to help with these costly repairs. Upon my first call, I did not even get to ask about any of this, since Jack Wroten interrupted me rudely several times and then simply hung up! I have witnesses for this call, one of them being the manager of the car mechanic shop that fixed our truck. He was perplexed by the behavior of Jack Wroten. Follow-up calls were left unanswered, same for messages left with the receptionist etc. We thus had to resort to legal ways to force the dealer to unwind the sale or provide us with those documents, and it was only at that time that they sent us a copy of the emissions certificate. Confronted with this fact by the criminal investigator of the AID, they simply said that the certificate must have been in the sales documents and that it doesn't matter whether I initialed receiving the certificate or not (I didn't). In short, stay away as far as you can, especially when you are buying a used vehicle. If you really want to have a vehicle from their log, then do so only if the vehicle comes with a bullet-proof warranty that protects you and your money. More

Spradley Barr is A+ and I have never had a bad experience there. Recently, Irwin Galena sold us a vehicle at a great deal with a fair trade. Our lease return didn't go according to plan because of the errors there. Recently, Irwin Galena sold us a vehicle at a great deal with a fair trade. Our lease return didn't go according to plan because of the errors of another unnamed dealership, and Cosmin Olea took care of tracking down our payoff, making sure it made it to Ford Credit, and saving us from a late payment reporting that was undeserved. We have a deposit on a Bronco and look forward to purchasing from Spradley Barr again. We live over an hour away from Spradley now and it is worth the drive. More

Consistently Bad I’ll tell you what I tell everyone else, go to Loveland Ford. Incompetent service with a smile in most cases, Spradley Barr Ford, never fails to un I’ll tell you what I tell everyone else, go to Loveland Ford. Incompetent service with a smile in most cases, Spradley Barr Ford, never fails to underpromise and underdeliver. They will set my expectations low, and I am still consistently disappointed. I've dealt with Spradley for the last 10 years, the last 5 of those working in or managing a company fleet of 40+ Ford Focuses and Transits. Previous to that I purchased a new vehicle from and had it serviced by Spradley Barr Mazda in Fort Collins. I deal with servicing vehicles and auto repair shops across 4 states for a living, and I experience all different types of customer service and pricing. Sales: I don't buy vehicles from Ford Collins Dealerships most of the time as they are always 10%+ higher than comparable vehicles in surrounding areas (Greeley/Longmont/Denver). The cost of living is higher here, it makes sense that the prices of vehicles is also higher. I have purchased from Spradley in the past and am/was happy with the experience. Service: Bad service with a smile. I can’t fault service advisors for not being nice, because they have always been nothing but friendly and smiles to me. They are all, by-in-large, always extremely happy. The problem lies in the fact that I have been consistently lied to about the status of a vehicle or repair. I deal with auto repair for a living, and build/repair cars for a hobby so I know enough about how vehicles work to recognize when someone is making up the truth mechanically, and I’ve had the good fortune to catch another service advisor in a lie because of a GPS unit installed in a car. Managing a fleet for a living, I am understanding that this can be a difficult job and that things don’t always go as planned. I value transparency and honesty, and I feel like at Spradley Barr I’ve often been told what they think I want to hear, or what will make them look the best, rather than the truth. Every year I think "surely I won’t have another bad experience at Spradley’s Service Department" and give them another chance, and end up unhappy with my service again. One thing I will say is that the couple of experiences I have had with Kelsey McGarry have all been good. She has always shot straight, telling me the truth, even if it is something I don’t want to hear. She doesn’t embellish the truth, even if I am clearly unhappy with the situation. She is more of a “This is what is going on, take it or leave it”. If I’m given the facts, I can at least understand the challenges that the service center is going through. I have many specific examples, but instead of doubling the length of this review I will not include them. Online reviews seem wildly inflated to me, with 571 reviews on Dealerrater at a 4.7/5 and a 2/5 on Yelp with 73 reviews. The word of mouth I hear includes a fair amount of bad experiences. I do not believe Spradley Barr is a 1/5 dealership, but they are certainly not a 5/5. I am submitting a one star review to weight down the inflated average I see online. The service department needs to focus less on friendliness, and more on proactively fixing problems, transparency and honesty. 19 hours after posting this review as my personal opinion on my personal Facebook account, Irwin Gallina (sales staff member at Spradley Barr Ford) left a retaliatory negative review on my employers Facebook account. I have never met or talked to Irwin Gallina and feel my review of the sales staff at Spradley was impartial and fair. 2 hours after the retaliatory review, I stopped into to Spradley Barr Ford to pick up some retaining grommets for a 2018 Ford Focus that I had ordered the day before. While at the parts counter, I walked 25 feet onto the sales floor to talk to Irwin Gallina about any service issues that he was having with my employer, and if I could help in any way. I talked to Jason Huber, because Irwin was with a customer at the time I left without speaking to him. 30 minutes later, he left a comment on my review on Facebook stating "Next time you come to my work looking to harass me I will file a restraining order! You've been warned!" and Jason Huber liked the comment. 40 minutes after posting, he removed the comment and review. I feel threatened by the sales staff at Spradley Barr. If I leave a negative review, they headhunt my employer to leave negative feedback. When I come in to offer to help with any issues they may have, I am threatened with a baseless lawsuit. Then, they all sit around and like and share to support each other. More
