The agreement included a trade-in of my 2012 Honda Civic LX. Edwin Coronado, Finance Manager, and I signed the contract. The dealership took possession of my 2012 Honda Civic, and I took delivery of the 2013 Honda Civic LX. Given the executed lease agreement, I left the dealership believing they would process the paperwork and honor the binding agreement. Note my FICO score is 830, and I have no reason to believe that the agreement would be rejected by Honda Financial Services for credit-related reasons. Much to my dismay and shock, I received a call 10 days later from Edwin Coronado, Finance Manager, and Daniele Martin, General Manager at Culver City Honda. Edwin and Daniele advised me that the dealership had made a "mistake" on the lease agreement and demanded that I return to the dealership immediately to sign a new lease agreement. Edwin said nothing would change on the new agreement. Daniele told me my monthly payment would decrease by $3.00 over the phone. However, it turned out to be a $15 reduction when I looked at the proposed lease. Don't be fooled --- this reduction equates to an increase in the down payment! I asked Daniele to send me a copy of the proposed agreement and was startled to see that the dealership had not made an inadvertent mistake as they had claimed. Instead, they completely changed the numbers of terms of the contract requiring that I now make a downpayment of $600+. Moreover, they post-dated the agreement which would require me to make a $200 monthly payment on the 2012 Honda that they had already put up for sale on their lot! When I raised these issues and concerns with Edwin, he lied and said he did not have the information of the proposed lease agreement at his disposal,. Even worse, I received a threatning call from Loren Coleman (Finance Director) demanding that I return to the dealership to sign the new agreement without explanation. Right now, I have turned this matter over to my lawyer to handle. As a lawyer myself, I am astounded that a dealership would renege on a binding agreement. I have filed a complaint to several sources, including the Better Business Bureau. I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They are scam artists and will con you into believing they will honor the agreement they sign. More
I went to Miller Honda in Culver City, CA to purchase a 2013 Crosstour. I was referred by Costco. I met Nora Anaya who was the referred rep. My experience was excellent. No hard sell, a nice demo and test 2013 Crosstour. I was referred by Costco. I met Nora Anaya who was the referred rep. My experience was excellent. No hard sell, a nice demo and test drive of the car. I was presented with the Costco pricing and Nora lowered that number even more as we do know the Crosstour isn't a "hot" car. Yet it fills my needs for a good sized car with easy storage. I hope the Honda reputation follows this car, it's just my first week but it's cool. I was ready to go and had done some earlier shopping and research. The actual purchasing experience was easy as I've experienced. My answer to Shawn the manager to the extended warranty was "it's a Honda." I did want the interior and body protected so we did a little negotiating on that package and began the paper work. There is a LOT of paperwork. Now I have a Red/Ivory Crosstour. The Miller team was as pleasant as any car buying experience I've had. Recommended. More
What a rude and horrible place. I bought TWO cars from miller Honda Culver city at the same time. One was used and one was new. They never sent me my plates on the used car because someone doesn't know ho miller Honda Culver city at the same time. One was used and one was new. They never sent me my plates on the used car because someone doesn't know how to file paperwork properly and I had to go to the DMV and spend more money that I shouldn't have if Manny (car salesman) did his job correctly and mailed me my plates a YEAR ago. Then you would think that if you buy 2 cars from a place they would be kind to you but when I needed help raising money they refused to give me a dollar!?! How much money did I make him and he can't even donate a dollar to a 501k cancer charity. The entire time we were trying to make a decision on buying the car, I just wanted to go get lunch and come back but they refused to give me my personal keys and registration back so I couldn't leave and they made me starve. I hate this place and Manny should be fired. On top of all this pieces such as the tray inside the arm rest is missing and the trunk accessories are missing. Its standard accessories at other dealerships but for some reason are missing in my car. Trust me I checked. I have already told everyone to go to other dealerships. This place is a joke. PS. When I was working with Manny I asked to see another car and a second sales person refused to open the door to the ar and told me I needed to wait till Manny came back. He was standing right next to the car! Great team work people. More
I had decided to purchase a Civic Hybrid but I wanted to come back the next day to test drive it with my mechanical advisor. I signed ALL the sales & finance documents including the finance contract with H come back the next day to test drive it with my mechanical advisor. I signed ALL the sales & finance documents including the finance contract with Harvey in the Finance Dept. I was not allowed copies as I had not given a deposit nor had I taken possession of the car. When I came back the next day we drove the car in addition to a newer Civic. The Asst. Sales Manager, Mr. Hope Shaw, said he would run the numbers on this car. I was told that I would get a better interest rate on this car than the previous one I had already been approved for at 10.9% (since it was newer it could be financed through Honda Finance). Mr. Shaw came back all excited with papers showing some crazy monthly payment with an interest rate of 10.9%. I explained that this was the same interest rate I had been given on the lower standard car and I was told he could beat that rate by 2-3%. He came out with the papers I has signed the previous night. Nope. These were not the papers I had signed. They tried to tell me that I did not signed a 3 foot long contract and maybe I just "Thought" I signed it. The monthly payment on this new unsigned contract was about $20/month more than the one I signed. A woman who was Harvey's boss came out and said "it's only $20". Yeah, my $20/month not hers. The could not reach this Harvey and he was not due in for the next few days. They were able to find a couple of generic documents that I did sign, but not any of the 6-12 documents that I signed which showed the interest rate or monthly payment amount. She did show one document that did show the payment amount Harvey promised to me. This is an amount prior to any warranties, bells or whistles. She said that number was something else. HMMM $166.46/month means something else. It's very clear to me. I got very loud with them and explained that bait and switch was not going to work. I am glad this happened prior to buying. Their true colors came out before I was locked in. Great thing they couldn't find the documents. I went to Airport Marina Honda and found an even better Civic at a better price and interest rate. While visiting the "Build Your Honda" website, upon completion of my "Build My CR-V" there was a REQUEST A QUOTE section that listed Dealers nearest my zip code so that I could "Select a dealer to upon completion of my "Build My CR-V" there was a REQUEST A QUOTE section that listed Dealers nearest my zip code so that I could "Select a dealer to schedule a test drive or request a price quote", so I chose to send out a request to two; Miller Honda Culver City and Honda of Santa Monica. Nora responded almost immediately. She asked specifics and went right to work to set up something. She was very communicative and answered all my questions promptly. I did get an email from Honda of Santa Monica simply saying that what I was looking for wouldn't be in until the end of the month (or so) ... however, today I bought my dream-come-true 2013 Honda CRV-EX from Nora Anaya at Miller Honda Culver City!!! I am a VERY satisfied customer indeed!!! More
I have always had fantastic experiences with Miller Honda. Then I came in to have my brakes replaced, and the trouble began. Armin was the service rep assigned to me. He upsold me on having my rear bra Honda. Then I came in to have my brakes replaced, and the trouble began. Armin was the service rep assigned to me. He upsold me on having my rear brakes cleaned. When I asked the price, I genuinely heard $7 or $8. And that seemed reasonable for blowing some soot off my rear brakes. The price was actually $78. I complained and after much haggling was promised a check would be sent to me. I waited. Nothing. I kept calling Armin back and he always had a story. It was his manager. He was sorry. After six weeks of back and forth I asked to speak to his manager. "Oh, he's on vacation, and will be back next week". So I called the next week and he said "Oh, he's in meetings". He gave me the names and number of folks in book keeping and the office manager to see what happened to my check-- which he promised me had been mailed a month earlier. Nothing. At present the issue is unresolved. More
Note The good #'s above are because of Saleperson not Dealership Miller. General Sales Manager not willing to work with me on second payment date or a newer used car...I had very bad credit score was a Dealership Miller. General Sales Manager not willing to work with me on second payment date or a newer used car...I had very bad credit score was able to walk out with car loan thanks to Nora (onine Salesperson) Not The Dealership itself. Nora was the only Good thing about this dealership..seems if Nora was not there and I just walk in I wouldn't have Got a car. It seem like nora was the only one who really wanted my business and was kind to me. I got no extras like alarm or 4 matching factory floormats for my Toy. Yaris.2007 from Miller ..didn't try and sell me lojack or offer to add on a alarm or Floor Mats. Seems like I got a car that was in the same price 14,999 like all the other cars I was shown first but loan was basic and not enough so I was not able to get a new used Honda/Ford/etc that they had on the Lot.. which where all priced the same but newer. But not the same year as what I ended up with a 2007. So they gave in and let Nora sell me a car for 12,499 and down was alot to start 2,500 and I financed 9,000 or so..seem like miller could have gotten into me into newer Honda but seem like they do not like Nora or working deals with her customers or customers who have lower credit scores....or online customers.......:( So I got a Basic Car with no extras. even after ref. or customer the next week to Miller. And Yes Nora :)was so nice I referred a customer who bought a car the next week from Miller a New Civic..but Not thank for the referral or anything from the dealership only a thank You Letter from Nora Anaya for buy the my car. Scott W Taylor ps: Nora Anaya Is the Best Got me Financed/Helped with Insurance/Help with Down/And help My friends Later buy a New Cars Too. Thank You Nora! More
It seems that Memorial Day is considered the best time of the year to buy. I bought my last two cars around this time (both Hondas) and got okay deals. As a returning two-time customer to Norm Reeves in Cerr the year to buy. I bought my last two cars around this time (both Hondas) and got okay deals. As a returning two-time customer to Norm Reeves in Cerritos, I was very disappointed they weren't willing to give me a stellar deal on the new 2012 Honda Odyssey. I sat there for so long trying to negotiate and ended up just walking out. Rancho Santa Margarita gave me a price and I said no and walked, and they ended up calling me, while I was already at another dealer giving me a better price. The fact that they let me go and were unwilling to get a good deal on the spot was disappointing. We called Nora Anaya, who we heard about through newspapers about her service awards and exceptional care for customers so we drove 30 miles to Miller. She was the kindest dealer we had ever met (I've bought 6 cars in my life). I told Nora my situation (and the hassles I had at the other dealers) and she said come on down and she'll take care of me. She was able to beat the deals I was offered everywhere else and she walked me through every step of the process like I was a guest in her house--not just a buyer. She had me out of there in less than two hours and...and happy. And she called a few days later to see how things were for us. Thank you so much, Nora. More

Very helpful, fast, and patient. After wanting to test drive several cars and many questions later she was constantly very kind and helpful. When it came to negotiating a price, she got straight to the po drive several cars and many questions later she was constantly very kind and helpful.
